Yumi stepped out of the dunk tank, the strong hand of Inigo del Rosario helping her down the steps to solid ground. She shivered until an event staffer wrapped a fluffy, white towel around her shoulders, which she gratefully used to dry off.[break][break]

"You didn't have to stay and watch my fall," she said to Inigo, though the curl of her lips suggested she wasn't the least bit offended. Though he was her employee, she had no reason to hide this more whimsical side of her.[break][break]

After all, it was good public relations and marketing for the owner of Casino Starlight to be seen among the crowd, enjoying the festival's activities.[break][break]

"Are you here alone, Inigo, or did you come with other coworkers or friends?" Yumi asked as she gathered her belongings, a woven tote purse, from a side table. She shrugged into an oversized white top with large sleeves, a simple cover for the bathing suit she wore underneath.

A bout of laughter had left his chest twice within the span of a short while— the first being the initial sight of the tank’s seat unhinging, and the second following the words of the self same woman who fell victim to the game, altogether. Ironically enough, too, it seemed to be MARISOL SIMONE that was the cause of his boss’ downfall, which really just made the sight before them taste all the sweeter.[break][break]

He gave her a brief look, alongside a quick, ’Still waitin’ on that second date~,’ in passing while both making a phone gesture her way, which promptly turned into a thumbs up in praise before he turned his attention towards the tank. Slipping past the front table of the game, itself, he jogged over as the carnies began to open the tank, offering a toothy grin to the person within as they met eyes.[break][break]

”See, that’s the thing, boss— I absolutely had to wait~.”[break][break]

He’d offered his hand, and it was taken before long at all could pass. A teasing wink went her way as he awaited her descent from the steps, and as one of the workers passed the other Rocket a towel, he, himself, stepped back a pace or two while waiting for her to gather her bearings and belongings before falling into stride with her.[break][break]

”I’m here on my own time, honestly— but y’know, I consider it a win. If I’d been with some buddies, I might not’ve been able to see ya take the plunge in real time~.”[break][break]

A singular laugh—hearty, and bordering a roar—left his lips, all while his brows knit closer together in amusement at her touch. Hues of emerald trailed down towards her arm as it found its way around his, though, rather than prying away, he only seemed all too in favor of the development as he reached his other hand over, softly patting her while peering towards the booths she pointed out.[break][break]

Though Yumi did not laugh this time at Inigo's attempt to gain monetary compensation from the night, she did smirk at his boldness.[break][break]

"You're quite the negotiator. Fine. We'll add a bit extra," she said. Then her smirk widened into her signature Seviper grin. "How much extra depends on you, however. You'll be paid by the hour."[break][break]

Confronted by the line of games, Yumi took a moment to contemplate them all before tugging Inigo toward the Dugtrio Ring Toss game.[break][break]

"This one looks easy enough," she said as they approached it.[break][break]

The sign said 5 PD for 6 attempts, which was comparable in price to the festival games she used to play back home. Without waiting for her companion to offer, she paid for both of them with a 20 PD bill. The carny in charge of the game handed them six plastic rings each.[break][break]

"You go first," Yumi said to Inigo as she tucked the change back into her purse.
