Camellia had no intention making Topher feel that way. It seemed the two were fighting their battles of guilt and hurt toward one another. Perhaps they were truly the match made in heaven.[break][break]

But, as Topher broke from her grasp to turn and pull her into an embrace, something snapped inside of Camellia. There was a tight rope of emotions that she had held onto for many years that snapped, cut into two, by one simple gesture from one person.[break][break]

That person told her she was enough. He said that he didn't need what society told them they should have. All he wanted was her. Camellia. Not her skills, not her body.[break][break]

Her.[break][break]

And so her floodgates broke, like a broken dam, as a cracking sob broke out of her chest. These emotions were foreign and new, and it scared her as she cried into his embrace. Camellia allowed him to pick her up and take her back to bed, though she refused to let go of him once they made it back.[break][break]

"I'm sorry," she whimpered, her grip less restrictive as she relaxed back. "I've never felt this before."[break][break]

There was a pause, as she wiped away some of her tears and settled her head against the pillow. "You... make me happy. And wanted. And, I..." "I love you."[break][break]

"I want you too."

Topher couldn't help the way he simply catered to her. As she rested back, he hovered above her and straddled her legs. A hand reached up to wipe away any excess tears. He could tell by the way her body shook and shuddered with her sobs that, perhaps, she needed this release of emotion. His gaze softened as he moved in to press his lips just below the corner of her eye to offer her a sense of comfort. Her tears were salty and bitter but he knew she needed that sense of comfort. He was there and saw her at her weakest, and the least he could do was be there.

"Shh, it's fine, let it all out," he reassured. "I think there's a lot of things new for us and I'm more than comfortable with the idea of exploring it with you. Mon avenir est avec toi. (My future is with you.)"

For better or worse, he was there. Topher shifted a bit to move beside her and kept an arm around her. One leg nudged in between her own to intertwine in a form of cuddling up to her. If she needed to cry, then she was welcomed to. If she was done, he was there to talk. His free arm slipped under the pillow his head rested on as he propped it up a bit. It wasn't long before he leaned in to offer her a gentle kiss on the forehead.

"I don't know what you're feeling either, but I want you to feel comforted."

And maybe he even wanted her to feel loved. But that went without saying, at least for now.

Camellia wasn't able to see him, but she felt his presence above her as he leaned down and kissed her. She was comfortable pulling her hands away from her face, allowing him to see her in full view as she caught her breath.[break][break]

And, for a moment, she wondered what she did for ARCEUS to give her @topher. Maybe it wasn't even ARCEUS'S doing at all. After all, she worshipped nothing.[break][break]

Maybe she was just really lucky.[break][break]

"Lentement (slowly)," she responded, nodding nevertheless. Truthfully, she could only handle so many emotions at once after so many years of feeling nothing.[break][break]

So, she shifted in the bed and got comfortable as Topher's legs twisted with hers, settling close to him. Camellia's tears had ceased, and she was comfortable and content with their position. His kiss went for her head...[break][break]

But she tilted her chin up to try and meet his lips.[break][break]

"I am, with you." Her hand gently traced his jawline, down to his chin, before dropping down the column of his neck. "I've just never shared so much about me to anyone before. Give me some time, and I'll tell you more."[break][break]

Right now, she was tired.
