The bear little understands how his fellow Urshifu could master both forms of their kind, but he accepts the reality laid before him. It kindles a burning urge in him to do better, to climb to the mountaintop.[break][break]
Navy, for his part, is deeply moved. As Kaz reaches out a hand, the sheriff pulls open his jacket. Inside are badges. Pulling out his Valor badge, he slaps it into Kaz’s hand as he gives the taller man a handshake. Even if the fight ended too soon for his tastes, it was still a good match. Shuwen and him have a way to go, but they’ll get there.[break][break]
Around them, the crowd cheers. They cheer for their strength. They cheer for the simple, idealistic dream these two make them all believe. Caught in a fantasy of heroes and villains, they will fall asleep content that men like Kaz and Navy protect them. There’s victory in that for both of them.[break][break]
