Tempest blinks, glancing at the two apples Yumi Hasegawa had bought.[break][break]

"Ah, you know, I'll grab one for Cil, too." Neither of them really liked sweets, but the occasional treat wasn't so bad.[break][break]

He doesn't hesitate to crunch into his own apple. The bite is surprisingly delicate; Tempest didn't like the tacky feeling of the caramel as it settled between his teeth.[break][break]

Some type of clown act is a few paces away. From here, Temp watches as one pulls endless handkerchiefs from another's pocket.[break][break]

"I should probably be going soon." A sigh. He needed to make dinner and take care of his pets.[break][break]

But there is a twinkle as he glances over at Yumi, a sly but friendly grin.[break][break]

"Thanks for hanging out with me for a bit."

And then she was off, weaving into the crowd with one hand carrying her purchases and another on her purse. The press of people surrounded her, and then she was gone from sight.

Tempest sees her off with a small wave. He watches Yumi Hasegawa's back before she blends in to the crowd and vanishes.[break][break]

He stops and watches the clowns a few more moments before departing himself. A quick skip around the dugtrio ring toss then back home.[break][break]

He'd needed this, today. To be out of the house a bit and actually see people again.[break][break]
