He looks up, “Cleo! Joyride’s over!” His arms stretch out as the clefairy peers over the slither wing’s side then free falls for him to catch. “Least we can do is give our buddies here a buff, right? Power of frienship, or whatever?”[break][break]

The clefairy cheers, then scrambles free as her FRIEND GUARD activates. As she traipses around the chamber, it allows them the time focus on mining the minerals embedded into the glowing organ.

You must escape with your gathered material. Your ally or allies may be incapacitated by the paranoia settling in their psyches, or perhaps, the eldritch mutations beginning to metamorphose their body or bodies.[break][break]

Depending on how much your characters have mined, you may need to lessen your extracted load to ensure successful escape from this wretched place. After all, the horrors that reside here may make chase.

Cleo offers a HELPING HAND to Moth Man before it blasts forward with a scorching FLARE BLITZ.[break][break]

Lam, meanwhile, is shoveling everything he’s cultivated into a second backpack that he slides over his shoulders once it’s full of every piece. His first backpack is strapped to his front. “Okay, time to scoot.”
