Desperation rises in both his pokemon and his Spinarak forces a TERA TYPE into poison. The little purple crown glows as the spider uses CROSS POISON onto the Type:Null, letting go of TOXIC THREADS and instead springing into action.

Unfortunately, the pokemon keeps going even as the Spinarak tries to get between both. She's easily squashed under its weight as it lands its IRON HEAD on the Loudred. A sickening mix of the sound of several things cracking and something hitting jelly rings out. Charlie is unconscious, and Lincoln? [break][break]

The Loudred isn't moving. Neon can recall his spider, but not the Loudred. He watches for a moment, as the loss of the Type: Null reveals a splash of red on the mud and rock. The pokeball he'd been holding doesn't work anymore. He can't recall a corpse. [break][break]

So he opens it up, quietly before in one swift movement ,snapping the two halves backwards and tossing them forward in the direction of his partner. He lets out a bitter laugh at Hideo, deciding distraction is better than mourning. "So where do you fall on this spectrum then, kid? You just killed something. Per your logic, you shouldn't have humanity right?" he asked, clearly taunting. He summons another pokemon, a Beheeyem of his own. It hovers by Neon, grasping the situation with ease after one long look. Gnocci picks up the pokeballs halves, depositing them on the red jello that was their comrade. [break][break]

"Casualties gone missing, attack was unsuccessful." he announced into his comms before his partner floats back, lifting an arm to try to give Neon a fist pump before he returns it. "Heading back to base." he said, giving one last look at Hideo. "You better head out too." he said, giving one last warning. He points at he sudden swirls of pink interdream mist beginning to rise out of the corpse's body. [break][break]

With that, he's gone, TELEPORTED out by his partner before they get dragged into the interdream zone, or worse a WORMHOLE.

That noise that Hideo heard right before recalling his Type:Null was not a sound he was familiar with. It sounded like something cracked, mixed with the sound of something getting splattered?

Before Hideo's mind could make the connection - and the subsequent realization - his Beheeyem's hand was raised up to his head. A few blinks of light would be the only visual sign that'd it did anything, though Hideo felt the effects rather quickly:

He could just make out the laughter from the Rocket he'd been battling, but he couldn't make out their words. He wobbled slightly, the only stable movement he made being shoving the Pokeball in his pocket.

He was stuck in this daze, hearing the other person speak more words, but failing to understand any of them. He felt his Beheeyem at his back gently guide him away, the boy offering no resistance.

It was only once his opponent teleported away that Hideo's daze was brought to an end. It still took a few seconds for him to regain his focus, then to think about what'd just happened.

He'd been in a battle against a Rocket to protect some injured League members he was escorting…then they were laughing about something before teleporting away.

Right. That's what happened. Just a quick skirmish.

"We…we should reunite with the caravan," Hideo said, an inexplicable uneasy feeling hitting him. "Think they needed me to help navigate a cave after this…"

He wondered why he'd suddenly been struck with that sick feeling - but he had other things to focus on. And his Beheeyem made sure he took a wide berth from what remained of that Loudred.
