As the two circled above the woods, a Mandibuzz heard the bug-types buzzing and ascended to their level, looking to make a quick meal out of one of them. Its screech was just loud enough to not be drowned out by the pairs of droning wings, Shalin pointed toward the wild and urged Hayabusa and Queen Zing to perform evasive maneuvers to get the Pokémon off their trail.

The two dove beneath the canopy, weaving around trees with dizzying agility. If Mika looked woozy afterward, Shalin would raise her hand and command both big bugs to land; otherwise, they would head back above the canopy and continue their fun flight, Queen Zing relinquishing full control to Mika and letting her experiment with what the Queen Beedrill was capable of.

the sudden maneuver done by the bug pokemon caught mika off guard. the excitement verged hard into the territory of nervousness, mika holding on even tighter to queen zing for fear of falling off. so this was the control and precision needed to balance the speed and fun of it all. as they continued flying into the forest, mika realized that she hadn't been paying attention to any other pokemon, not even registering the presence of the wild slakoth or nuzleaf whatsoever. [break][break]

instead, she focused on continuing the flight, trying her best to experiment in the different ways that queen zing could be flown. mostly the pace started slowing down, a sign that she was soon ready to land. they only needed a perfect time and place to land, mika having experienced her near full of excitement for one day. [break][break]

but if there were any pokemon to be found as a last minute catch, she wouldn't pass up the opportunity after coming this far in. [break][break]

Shalin reined Hayabusa back, loosening up with her legs a little to coax the Scyther into slowing down his blistering pace and letting Queen Zing take the lead. The Beedrill, too, started slowing; it was a sign that Mika wanted to land, after all. Perhaps the constant vibration, nearly endlesless agility, and the noise were too much for the Ranger to handle, after all. As much as the giant wasp loved carrying guests in her saddle, she was not the most beginner-friendly ride Pokémon by the very nature of how she flew.

The green-ette kept her pace even with Mika, pointing toward a clearing near Hoenn's Safari Zone that would make an ideal landing point for the two. When the two bugs landed, she raised a hand, hoping Mika would get the message and remain seated on the now motionless bug's back; if they were to immediately dismount, their legs would likely buckle from having not regained feeling after absorbing all that vibration! Though she didn't find any new Pokémon she liked, she got to share her love of nimble flight with an up-and-coming recruit to Hoenn's Rangers!
