The expeditions into the tunnels of the island were going slow, but for good reason, because it seemed like every length they made progress on just presented more problems, like a hoard of lava spewing monsters that Yuina had never seen before! Her group had scattered, and rightfully so, they couldn't risk clumping together and making themselves easy targets.[break]
Yuina had with her the supplies that she had gathered on their way down through the tunnels, and she clung to it as she held fast and low to Rasza's back. The Charizard was rushing through the tunnels, trying to get away from the lava monsters, and she turned to spray Scorching Sand down the tunnel to combat them.[break][break]
"We have to get out of here, for now, we have to get what we gathered to safety," Yuina coughed, the heat and sand in the tunnel now marring her senses. The Charizard rushed forward and they found an open section of tunnels, where Yuina heard shouts and the sounds of others down the way. That had to be more of her group that had got separated![break]
"That way, let's go," Yuina remarked, hopping down from the Charizard's back for now, situating her bundle of supplies on the leather saddle on the fire types back, and Yuina started to move down the corridor to meet up with the voices she could hear.

The HEATRAN rampage, and Neon isn't as unaffected as he'd like to be, beginning to sweat as he felt the heat blasting against his suit. Roars are let out as the HEATRAN ready to rampage ( as if they weren't already ) and Neon gives distance despite the shaking in the ground. [break][break]

Through the heat and smoke, a girl and her Charizard appear and he's not happy. "Who the hell are you?!" he shouted, electronic voice pitching comically as the LED expression on his face swapped form frowning to just plain angry, popping vein and everything. Rocks fly upwards towards the startling force as one of them casts STONE EDGE on Yuina and her pokemon.

No sooner had Yuina and Rasza started moving down the rocky tunnel than was she faced with two very dire situations, making for one very big mistake. Number one, she could see lava and fire in the near distance lighting up the tunnel, and the roars of those monsters that were lurking within the depths of the island... Number two, this was not a person that she recognized, in fact, it was someone wearing a mask who was now very angry with her being here.[break]
"Oh no...," Yuina panicked, she didn't know which was worse, she wasn't trying to fight anyone down here! But then the lava monsters were surging through the tunnel behind him and started chucking rocks in an attack that shook the very tunnel. Yuina thought as quickly as she could, releasing Nyla into the fray, and the Sneasler made quick work of knocking down the rocks that were being shot at them with her Brick Break.[break][break]
"That's your fight! We're going now," Yuina called back, she wasn't even going to try, she couldn't fight a rocket and those lava monsters! She turned to run with her two Pokemon in hopes that she meant nothing to him to pursue and instead the lava monsters might be a more pertinent fight for him...

His anger quickly morphed into excitement. That's not one of his. She's not really trying to conceal her identity and she has no clue who he is. Probably not a Rocket. In which case, he had no problem leading a rabid dog to different prey. [break][break]

"Golf slow them down!" he shouted, taking cover from the HEATRAN as the Gossifleur using SING trying to get one of the pokemon to slow down. The HEATRAN screamed, angry at everything that there were intruders in its territory but far be it for Mint to point their fury to Yuina.

Rasza and Yuina had started moving down the tunnel first, Nyla stayed back to make sure the rocks were cleared and that they weren't going to get hit, but the rocket still continued to pursue in spite of being chased himself by the lava monsters behind him. Nyla hissed with bared fangs as she turned to run and follow Yuina, but the singing caught on and the Sneasler stumbled, unable to shake the drowsy feeling from her head.[break]
Yuina turned at hearing the command, and found Nyla slumped up against the rocky wall, and found that both the rocket and the lava monsters were catching up and gaining on them quick. Clearly his intention was to make the pack of lava monsters both of their problem, and then... She didn't want to panic, not yet... Yuina rushed towards Nyla and hobbled with the poison type behind Rasza who turned to face their attackers.[break][break]
"Rasza, hurricane," Yuina called as she dipped under the Charizard's wings and started to move forward with Nyla in tow. The dragon huffed and pushed her wings, and while the tunnel was tight and she couldn't splay her full wing span, she was still able to kick up a furious gust with each beat and started to create a wind tunnel in an attempt to knock them back and create enough space to escape!

Neon is booking it, the rest of his team have either made it past the horde or found another way without being detected. He'd been too forward to really...avoid this. Now's he's stuck running for his life from things that knew these tunnels better than he did. Shit! [break][break]

As the wind blows down the tunnel, he grunts in irritation. Wing buffets him and he's forced to drop down onto the rock to keep from flying backwards into the HEATRAN. Golf, unable to do much more, gets in front of her trainer and blasts out a HYPER VOICE in Yuina's direction. The minute the winds of HURRICANE falter he's booking it back up, now a little pissed off his bait plan wasn't working as well as he'd hoped.

Trying to move forward, Nyla just wasn't able to snap out of the intrusion of Sing yet, and Yuina couldn't risk carrying her along and slowing herself down. She returned the Sneasler to her Pokeball as Rasza continued to make a wind tunnel behind her, but a deafening sound echoed through the tunnel that cause Yuina to faulter for a minute, covering her ears as the tunnel shook. Rasza tried to push away the Hyper Voice with her wings, but she just didn't have the range in her wingspan to user her full force, so the dragon had little choice but to halt the wind and turn to run from the attack in hopes that they could still keep their lead.[break][break]
At this rate, all Yuina needed to do was stay ahead of that rocket and his Pokemon as she tried to find a way out of the tunnels, and hope that she could escape before either he caught up to her or the lava monsters caught up to them both... Running down the tunnel still, Yuina took out another Pokeball and released Noct into the tunnel, and the Dusknoir opened her gaping mouth to release a thick Haze that Yuina hoped would obstruct just enough of the tunnel that she could try to find a next tunnel to disappear into...

"Bad day bad day bad day baddaybaddaybaddaybadday!" Neon hissed as he pumped his legs as hard as possible while Gold tried to clear the way for them. HEATRAN roar behind them and he is doing his best to cut the distance between him and lava death. That Leaguer's escaping him and now he's fucking annoyed. "Come out!" he calls despite it not being the time. The HAZE filters out and swears for a moment its the tell tale pink of INTERDREAM MIST before he gets a better look and its just pokemon HAZE. [break][break]

Before him drops Straciatella, glowing brilliant as her MEGASTONE shines iridescent in the gloom while it charges up infinity energy. "Get ready for it!" he calls out, ignoring the typing and trusting the sheer ferocity of his Abomasnow. She MEGA EVOLVES with a cave-shaking roar, slamming onto the ground as a SNOWSTORM rips aorund in the enclosed space. Neon can see the Dusclops and the back of the Leaguer's hair. Fuck that. He's not letting her get to the exit first. They're either both escaping ( with him shoving her back should more HEATRAN show ) or neither was escaping ( terrible, bad plan, unnecessary ). [break][break]

Straciatella focuses forward blasting a BLIZZARD at the girl's Dusclops while Gold turns back towards the mythical monster and blasts back a LEAF STORM. He hears, up ahead, the tell tale roar of another HEATRAN. Pink is swirling up ahead and Neon only curses even more as the HEATRAN slams the walls, coming out of the tunnel Yuina had been turning in and glaring at her from the ceiling while pink mist oozes out of the side tunnel.

Pandemonium was breaking loose in the tunnels as the fight waged on, but it was becoming less and less a race and more and more a fight to see who was going to get caught by the lava monsters. The Haze did enough to stall her pursuer, but only just as they released another Pokemon that shone brightly with surging energy. And then the tunnel began to get very, very cold as a Blizzard rushed through. Noct was effectively fainted at the sheer ferocity of the cold, and Yuina couldn't see the interdream mist that was lofting into the tunnels as the ice started to over take the entire tunnel.[break]
Trying her best to keep up with the evolving situation, Yuina reached out to the energy that she shared with Rasza, and the dragon began to glow and take on a new form that shrouded her from the icy cold, and in her energized state the Mega Charizard released an Inferno to combat the assaulting Blizzard.[break][break]
On the other side of Rasza, the tunnel walls broke and shuttered as another Lava Monster peered down at her. She panicked, and opened another Pokeball, releasing Sceptile into the fray. They seriously needed to get out of here...[break]
"Rasza, come on," Yuina shouted over the furious attacks, and the dragon gave one last huff and push of her Inferno before turning to run again with Yuina and Sceptile, trying to go down another path now and away from more of the Lava Monsters.

Straciatella for action, clearing the path and holding back, if briefly, all assailants. Her GRASS KNOT does wonders. Every second coutned after all. His Gossifleur is bounds and leaps ahead doing here best to help keep an eye on their targets and the evolving situation ahead of the HAZE. [break][break]

As his Abomasnow holds down the fort, Golf sends out another LEAF STORM. The trio encroach on Yuina and her pokemon but all parties are stunned as out of the side tunnel more HEATRAN rush out, this time blasting a wave of fire meant to incinerate the intruders. [break][break]

Golf leaps into action trying to send back the brunt of the fire as she TERA TYPES into a GRASS crown and sends out a LEAF STORM and is singed horribly. Her shrill screams echoed in the caves. Straciatella steps in front of their trainer, protecting Neon and keeping him cool despite the sweltering heat. [break][break]

As Golf withers in pain something else smashes forward. Out of the mist crawl out a SLITHER WING, just as angry and territorial as the HEATRAN and they fight. The paradox pokemon gets a surprise and managed to bite and toss the HEATRAN back where they'd come from as the skittering and cries of a couple more SLITHER WING echoes thru the pink mist oozing out of the side tunnel towards them. [break][break]

"SHIT! Dead end!" Neon hissed as his Gossiffleur tried to SYNTHESIZE itself only to fall completely, burnt and broken. Neon can hear his heart pounding in his ears. "Nononoono, Golf, SYNTHESIS!" he ordered as he darted for the grass type.

Everything was falling apart, in almost every stretch of the term, the tunnels, her team, herself... Yuina couldn't keep up, there was so much going on, and as the tunnel filled again with more of those lava monsters, she wasn't sure what she could do... She had to think fast, Nyla was asleep and Noct had been knocked out, Rasza was just trying to keep her safe and she couldn't very well navigate through the tunnels effectively given that she was working taller on two legs instead of running on four. And then, as the tunnels shook and rumbled, and lava monsters blasted the cavern with such an intense heat, Yuina blinked, shrouded by Rasza's wings... And then Sceptile was gone, his cries disappearing into the shadowy darkness of a break in the walls...[break][break]
Yuina shuttered... Surely... But... How could she have... it was devastating, knowing that she was responsible... She put the Pokemon in this situation and now.... Her mind was reeling, she was truly distraught, but there was really no time for her to process this utterly terrible thing that had just happened...[break][break]
Rasza roared, more Pokemon started to file into the tunnels, strange giant bugs hissed and screeched at the lava monsters as they started to clash. Yuina was barely keeping it together, she couldn't keep one line of thought straight, she just.... She wanted to get out, she wanted to leave this place immediately...[break]
In a fugue moment of rage and distress, Yuina threw a Pokeball as hard as she could at one of the enormous bugs that had broken into the cavern, and much to her shock, it stuck... And in that moment, distraught and brimming with fury, Yuina released the now captured Slither Wing. Rasza was doing her best to still keep the other Pokemon back, keeping Yuina close, but now they had one extra set of help... If it could even be called that. She wasn't sure what the enormous Pokemon was capable of really, but if it broke into the tunnels... Maybe it could break out...[break][break]
The Slither Wing hissed with buzzing wings as it was shrouded in a glittering orange energy, taking on the Fighting Tera Type, and as if in a state of extra, boosted power, the paradox lunged for the surrounding cavern walls and used Low Sweep, kicking clean into the rocky tunnel and creating an opening to a new, yet undisturbed tunnel. Whether it was actually because it was trying to help or if it was just as enraged as she felt then and was just acting on its own, Yuina took that chance.[break]
As quickly as she could, she returned the bug and rushed Rasza away, disappearing into this new tunnel to escape, and leaving behind their newly accquainted adversary.

Golf is dead, and in his haste Straciatella moves in to cover. This time she moves in to blast a SHEER COLD, not aiming at anything in particular. The blast of frozen winds screeches through the dead end and clears a path for the tunnels Yuina Higashi 's newly acquired paradox had opened. [break][break]

With the skittering and screeching of Paradoxes though, Mint decides to continue sprinting the other way, as Straciatella attempts to block their escape. There's no sign of Heatran but he's had more than enough close encounters with Paradoxes and would rather avoid them at all cost. [break][break]

He's already releasing another pokemon, Golf's broken one still in his hands as his Abomasnow roars, unable to keep up and falls to a knee exhausted. [break][break]

Mint returns her before she can full drop to the ground and be devoured by whatever was trying to follow them. He lets out Agretti, desperate and needing an out. He's desperate. [break][break]

The Tropius cries as Neon jumps him, reattaching the collected pokeballs to his waist and giving order without delay. "To the tunnel exits, asap!" And with a powerful slap of his palm frond wings, Agretti rushes the Beast out towards the light of day and, more importantly, out of bounds of his current pursuer.
