It had been a while since Rowan had come across the Pokémon and he still didn't know much of them, or the Pokémon they'd been said to be descendant from. Regardless, he found their whimsical nature somewhat comforting. It was a nice reminder that all wasn't so dark in the world he inhabited, and that some light could still be found. [break][break]

A figure approached, shaking Rowan from his thoughts. "You Emmett?" He called out towards the young man, attempting to force a friendly smile despite the melancholy nature of his temperament.

How exactly do Hoennians find these creatures so... normal? No matter how much time he spends with this little Phione, they'll still find ways to catch him by surprise or unwittingly causing the day to start off bad.[break][break]

In this case, he's dealing with sopping wet hair that drips uncomfortably down his shirt and soaks literally every inch of his ranger uniform.[break][break]

A sigh is the first response to the question, fingers gingerly parting wet locks and sweeping them away from his eyes. And things only get worse when Moana decides to flop over his head, dousing him in even more water after taking a dip in the open seas.[break][break]

Was emmett brookes among them? He thought he'd known all the faces there, but perhaps one had slipped his notice.[break][break]

"Same hat." Rowan said with a small smirk, the Phione on his own shoulder flitting and giggling with glee at the antics of their kin.[break][break] "Strange Pokémon, aren't they?" Truthfully, he'd never met anything like them.

"Pretty sure some would call that abuse... but I get what you're shooting for." Raising a brow, he wonders just what might have happened in Rowan Wrynn's life for such an example to be pulled out. Oh well, they aren't close enough for him to ask, and they have a job to focus on either way.[break][break]

"I guess I am. Got a first hand experience of how the water is too." He grins, letting the questions sweep him as he sheds his coat.
