Robin stretched her arms overhead as she made good distance from the city. It was time to see what else Hoenn had in store after spending a few days in Mauville. The city didn't hold a lot of personal interest for her, though she liked talking to the gym leader and seeing all of the strange pokemon that survived in the city's wilds. It was time to perform at another mission before she lost her momentum and took too long a break.

Robin scrolled through RangerNet for an idea of where she should head next. She skimmed the news headlines as well as successful mission reports, searching for any problem areas, alerts, or missions that had been left untouched for a while. Those missions tend to be easy enough, but were often in odd locations or required specifics that the average Ranger didn't possess. She liked to help out with jobs that were frequently considered too small or out-of-the-way.

Robin ducked as the Swablu dove down at her. She didn't think it was outright aggression, but rather that the cloud-like pokemon wanted some of her hair, as birds were encouraged to do by their nesting instincts. Still, the Swablu fit the bill for something Robin could use. She tossed out a pokeball to send out Spiritomb, then instructed the ghost to use hypnosis on the bird once it was down in range again. The bird had reached for her hair again and received hypnosis for her trouble, giving Robin the perfect opportunity to hit the stunned pokemon with a pokeball.
