While his AERODACTYL scouted the skies above and kept watch for any approaching aggressors, Remiel had offered his HISUIAN GOODRA the opportunity to tug along a large cart of SUPPLIES the LEAGUE desperately needed to be delivered. The slimy dragon had gladly taken its master up on this offer with the promise of something scrumptious to eat later. So, after securing the cart to the Goodra's shell with plenty of rope work, the team set off.

Remiel didn't question why Eris Halla had been assigned here. This certainly wasn't the first time he'd seen her appear in such dangerous situations. Whether or not she'd been approved to come along, it wasn't on him this time. Though, certainly, that wouldn't keep him from looking after her either.

These supplies were important, and plenty of League personnel needed them. But the safety of Eris Halla was far more important to him.

"Another grand battle with Team Rocket..." The exiled prince sighs, reaching for the canteen strapped against his hip. "Do you think we'll fare better on this island than we did last time, Eris? I don't suppose you're looking forward to encountering former comrades either..." He adds before taking a swig of water.

As far as she understands it, she's got it pretty easy because she's a kid that holds close to no importance to most. But Remiel Calcifet is supposed to be the prince of another country, so him admitting to being former comrades with Rockets is kind of a problem, isn't it? Something about how his actions will reflect badly on the stance of the Galarian royalty, she imagines. Not that she'd be able to do anything about it even if she were right.[break][break]

His usage of the word 'grand' isn't something she quite appreciates in the moment, but all that he'll get is a mild frown instead of some sharp scolding. And her hands will ruffle Reiner's mane almost absentmindedly, her head tucked close to his as she whispers quiet thoughts in the Luxray's ears.[break][break]

Is it really a good idea to be here? There's hanging out with other defectors who are pretty cool and people that she somewhat knows. Then there's... well, she isn't quite sure where Remiel falls. He's a fellow archaeologist, he's scared of Charizards... He left Rocket because he didn't quite like where things were going?[break][break]

But other than that, what does she actually know about him? Reiner seems to ponder that question too, but ultimately comes to the conclusion that the man is simply someone that he doesn't mind. And he'll even grunt as a greeting on both their behalf.

It was almost as if Eris Halla had been placed underneath some sort of SPELL of silence. The creaking of the wagon wheels they're escorting fills the void before Reiner chimes in. Remiel regards the large cat with a thankful smile before returning his attention to the girl.

"Is everything alright, Eris? It's been a while since we've had a chance to talk like this." They'd met a myriad of times before. On the battlefield, for the most part. Though once she had served as his archaeological assistant in the DRACONID RUINS. Comparing that girl to the one that walked beside him now made it clear that some changes had occurred.

Despite his eagerness to hear her response, however, his attention briefly shifts to the tendrils of INTERDREAM MIST reaching out to them from the cracks between the canyon wall nearby. There wasn't enough of it to cause alarm... just yet. But it was worrying.

At the very least, she doesn't have to try too hard whilst he's distracted by the mist, a hand resting upon her sync stone as she checks up on her sygna suit. Everything should be functional, but tapping into the infinity energy this suit requires means removing Reiner's access to his z-move.[break][break]

The nod certainly doesn't help alleviate Remiel's curiosity or worry. Nevertheless, he chooses not to pry any further. Far be it for him to understand what a young girl such as herself might be going through. The two lead very different lives, after all, and were from very different backgrounds.

Though he supposed the same could be said for many others he'd found her in the company of.

Nevertheless, the cold shoulder he's given doesn't distract him from the mission at hand. They were expected to deliver these supplies and he was determined to see it through despite the INTERDREAM MIST licking at their boots. Even so, the first sign of a PARADOX POKEMON soon appears on the horizon like a blazing HELLFIRE in the sky.

It's an IRON MOTH in the midst of a FIERY DANCE. Remiel's Hisuian Goodra slows its advance when it notices this, and his Aerodactyl utters a short cry as a warning.

Strike before you're struck - A whistle gets Reiner prepped for battle. As Eris leaps right off his back, he charges in with a flash and a thunderclap. His posture is tense, his paws bunched together underneath him before he finally leaps right at the Iron Moth with a lightning in his claws. And right as he strikes down, he kicks thing up a notch with a Volt Switch, making way for a Wooper to take his place.[break][break]

With a squeal, Remus follows up with an Aqua Tail, swinging it right down on the strange illogical bug before he falls back to the ground.

The Iron Moth assesses the incoming threats with its analytical visors. Despite its attempt at a WHIRLWIND, however, the tactics Eris Halla had executed with her Pokémon proved to be far too unexpected. The Wooper successfully lands its attack as a result, but it is not enough to strike the cybernetic entity down completely.

Remiel wasn't sure if beings of that nature could feel rage in the sense that organics could. Nevertheless, it unleashed a powerful HEAT WAVE in the direction of both Pokémon that almost exemplified it. Having stopped the cart and the Hisuian Goodra that pulled it for now, Remiel slides up his sleeve and reveals a wristband with a DRAGON TERA CRYSTAL on it.

His Aerodactyl emerges from a flash of bright blue with even more draconic features than before. And, rather viciously, it withstands the wave of heat before striking with a WING ATTACK. The Iron Moth spirals downward afterward, endangering their cart with a crash.

From his position in the air, Remus doesn't have many options to help either. But the next shadow that crosses the threshold has just the answer, a Gigaton Hammer slamming the Iron Moth away with a hearty squeal.

The whack of a GIGATON HAMMER proves more than enough to finally dispatch the dreaded Iron Moth. Remiel sees it lose a wing after the strike, and it disappears within the cloudy mist shortly thereafter. Remiel breathes a sigh of relief, then pats the side of his Hisuian Goodra's shell to comfort it.

"Well done," He says, regarding Eris Halla once more while Othniel runs a victory lap in the sky above them. Casting a glance at the TINKATON nearby, the royal smiles. "This one reminds me a lot of you."

Just as he's said so, however, an unexpected SLUDGE WAVE comes rushing out at them from the mist ahead. Thankfully, Remiel's Hisuian Goodra is there to SHELTER them with its large shell, diverting the wave of sludge to each side of them before it sinks into the ground.

"It can't be..."

Remiel clambers on top of the cart before witnessing a SWARM of IRON MOTH emerging from the mist in front of them. Without hesitation, he sets down a LIGHTNING STILETTO where he's standing, surrounding their small vessel with an ELECTRIC FIELD that will boost their SPEED and ZAP any Iron Moth that dare draw near.

"We need to get going. Climb on, Eris!" The exiled prince says, offering her his hand.

Lightning is and has always been her friend, electricity buzzing in the air and sending a shiver right down her spine. It guards them from enemies approaching, but it can only hold them off for so long. And so, she sweeps Remus right up into her arms, whistling for Vivi to hop onto the cart as she grabs ahold of the outstretched hand.

What follows is a high-speed and frenzied rollercoaster ride through the valley as they plunge through the mist and fight off the swarm of Iron Moth that pursue them. Like a bug zapper, the electrical field that surrounds them serves to keep most of them at bay. Unfortunately, the projectile attacks they launch still manage to pierce this field and threaten the integrity of their supplies.

Thankfully, Othniel is there to fly beside them, and WING ATTACKS most of these would-be attackers before they can properly aim. Nevertheless, one EMBER too many manage to strike the HISUIAN GOODRA pulling the cart... and, ultimately, it crashes into the ground and FAINTS, leaving them stranded.

Though he continues to fight off the Iron Moth with javelins of LIGHTNING he casts from his hands, Remiel manages to hastily return the dragon to its ball. "We need another Pokémon to pull the cart!" He announces to his partner amid the chaos.

All he can do in the meantime is blindly reach for a Luxury Ball on his belt and summon a creature of his own: a VULLABY.

"Focus." She murmurs, laying a hand upon their hands before calling upon a rarely seen companion of hers. Arcana grunts, grabbing the reins with only seconds to spare before she begins pulling with Extreme Speed. With a pair of brain cells shared between the four of them, Vivi and Remus get to work, attempting to scatter the rest of the Iron Moths by flinging stray rocks at their heads.

Remiel, in the meantime, is forced to hold on for dear life as the ARCANINE pulls the cart away with EXTREME SPEED. Though the Iron Moth attempt to give chase, Othniel and his Vullaby stay behind, the former enduring the scorching flames to stun them all with a SUPERSONIC. Eventually, she'll regroup with her trainer at the end of the path.

The Vullaby, on the other hand, DIES in the midst of a FURY ATTACK.

With the danger far in their proverbial rear-view mirror, the League agents soon reach the predesignated encampment with their supplies intact. A squadron of other trainers begins to unpack the cart in the meantime, and the exiled royal goes along helping them, too. Though not before regarding his partner for this endeavor.

"Well done back there," He compliments Eris as he hops off the back of the cart. "Are you going to be around for dinner? They're cooking stew tonight with wild vegetables from the island." He smiles.
