she’d seen mint in passing a few times since her return. he’d been busy, always on the run and often in the field working on his own studies. she felt glad when he agreed to a run through the rks simulation with her.[break][break]

”have you been through this one before?” she asked the beast, watching the birth of the ruins from afar.[break][break]

as they got closer, her eyes met the worker’s familiar face. there seemed to be no recognition.[break][break]

once inside, she stared. the boulders weren’t touched, for she knew the consequences. ”if you move those boulders, they’ll turn into a regirock,” she noted. others hadn’t warned her about things that happened in the simulations. she was here for science, however, not games.[break][break]

He'd been happy enough to venture into the RKS again, And this was Lulu Flint asking. He couldn't say no to her. Plus, he wanted a little break from all the visits to SILENT ICELANDS for any sort of sign of Kyurem only to have to pivot to the legendary birds and their strange galarian counterparts. This is easy, relatively. And it held inside it the possibility of seeing Father Winter once more. An opportunity he would not pass up. The desert is new and while he'd been transported to something similar, this specific place doesn't ring any bells. "I don't think so Lulu." he replied, looking around the people with interest. Mint shuddered, watching the vision and then blinking in a daze. His mind reels back to Galar and the horrible fights they'd witnessed there, but the specifics are a little fuzzy. He didn't have in depth knowledge of all the materials that'd gone into their weapons. But others did. [break][break]

of the spiritomb, she clarified, ”i meant the simulation—but admittedly, i also know little about spiritomb. i had a nasty run-in with one once.” she had avoided them ever since. ”i think i’ll pass on your offer.”[break][break]

processing the situation, the porygon opted for a thief, dark energy pulling on a soul to free it from its spectral bind as the aurora beam struck the ghost.[break][break]

a soul was pulled free. however, before they could ask it any questions, it overtook her, disappearing inside her body and transforming her face into something jagged, like a jackolantern.[break][break]

He's surprised the little thing doesn't just collapse and release all 108 souls. Perhaps its bonds are stronger than he'd imagined and not at all like a house of cards. [break][break]

"Probably have to look into stuff like if the Wishing Stars have weird frequencies or energy about them. Though guess its obvious it does." he said with a small shrug. Most of this is out of his ass. He can only speculate what he's heard from others in the labs. [break][break]

He laughs when Lulu rejects his offer but then freezes when something strange happens. It's a simulation of course so then why- "Lulu?!" he called out frozen on the spot as she throws a rock at him. [break][break]

Before he can think to scramble out of the way Calici is on his defense blasting a HYDRO PUMP to deflect the rock before proceeding to aim the attack at Lulu. "Wait! You'll waterboard her like that!" he called out trying to reign in the Vaporeon. "Lulu!" [break][break]

"Lulu are you good?" he asked, staying back, but also ready to dart in for CPR if she had indeed been choking.

the attack struck the rock out of the way, and then continued, blowing her back into the wall painfully. she crumpled to the ground, coughing and sputtering as the soul left her body and drifted away, without a chance to ask it any questions.[break][break]
