Scouting is in his nature. It's like putting on a well worn glove. When he's called for, he goes quickly. Restocking on water and a bit of rations before stepping out. There's a spot near the tunnel entrances, and reports of UNSTABLE GROUND. He's not sure what to expect other than a little safe guarded post. [break][break]

Taking up a nest, he looks down over what he believes is a supply point for Rocket. Though, it's not moving right now. He can see the fortifications from his position, but not much movement inn and out of the tunnels. Then again, some tunnels had been spiting fire earlier so he didn't blame them for keeping a safe distance. [break][break]

"Cassidy at Observation Point Bravo. Rocket seems to be hunkering down and fortifying for now." he said through the comms, closing his eyes to rest them before rolling onto his elbow to drink some water.

"I could just go beat them all up right now." she offers wondering how Paxton would responds to such an offer. They did have the element of surprise. "They don't seem to have any big hitters with them, just a bunch of small fry that I could take out without needing Cobalion.".[break][break]

She could sense him nearby, he was conveying calm to her, it didn't seem like he was being spotted by any of them either. She waited for Paxton to see what he thought.

He idly offers the canteen to the E4. He hadn't seen her since the cat cafe. He shakes his head gently. "I think you're right, but we stay cautious when we're out alone." For a number of reasons. "Taking them all out would be good. Just don't know if HQ would rather quietly cut them off, or have us wait for backup." He shrugs. There's a multitude of reasons HQ might want them unbothered, for now. [break][break]

"Save resources. Just call an airstrike and pick off survivors. Whatever they choose to do." He shrugs, not really having the authority to waste on canon fodder. Surely people like freya morningstar or MATIAS SILPH would delight in falling from the sky and scorching earth on some Rocket reinforcements. Or were they scientists? He can't tell. [break][break]

Either way their goal isn't just killing. As twitchy as seeing Rocket made him, he had to stick with the directives he received. And that meant keeping his hand off the trigger when needed. "The thing they're after is more important than denting their fodder." [break][break]

After a moment he added, "I don't have to fully agree with it. I just need to be able to follow." dahlia goode knew best after all. [break][break]

A beat of silence later and he quiey apologizes. "Sorry. I said too much."

"An air strike?" she says in disbelief, in her opinion they didn't have time for that, she saw an obstacle in their way...she remembers dahlia goode's words told to her earlier 'I affirm who I am' she repeats to herself as she decides to ignore paxton's orders. "Sorry, but that's not my style." she says as she releases her gardevoir from it's pokeball [break][break]

Gardevoir teleports her into the middle of the camp as a spotlight appears over her head. They don't notice her immediately, but it was short lived as the area around them darkens and Melody bows in the spotlight "I hope you're all ready for a show!" she says as several pokeballs open yet the darkened light doesn't show them all at once. [break][break]

A Tauros roars and charges towards melody, but before it can reach her...[break][break]

Several flower bombs drop from the sky onto the pokemon as Melody's mewoscarada was the one responsible for the spotlight appearing in the first place and darkening the area around them. "I don't take kind to fans rushing the stage." as she intends to start to sing.

She disappears as he's putting away his canteen and for a moment he's too tired to care. It's not like he was babysitting her. That wasn't his job. He turns back to the survey point, watching the chaos unfold and doesn't hurry in his work. [break][break]

The man settles back down getting behind the rifle and checking the scope before closing his eyes. [break][break]

"Miro, if you were just going to do what you wanted, why bother asking me anything?" he said into the radio before opening one eye and taking aim. He pulls steady on the trigger, a shot ringing out a beat later as he holds his breath. There's a dull crack in the air and then a spurt of red as the TAUROS running towards Melody goes down. [break][break]

Then his view is obscured for a moment thanks to pretty flower petals exploding into the air. As the diva begins her song he watches people rush out of the tents and decides to take a few more shots. Enough to put the fear of approach solidly in their minds. Not just form pokemon, but form back up nearby. [break][break]

He takes a few more shots, quiet as he focuses. He downs a CROBAT and then stops their trainer from bum rushing Melody. He stops a MACHOKE in its tracks, and then another SWAMPERT before getting up and beginning to move as eyes turned in his direction. He called on his PORYGON, Hopper, to move him closer. Though he takes to the perimeter of the camp rather than the center with Melody. His MAGNEZONE pops out, whirring and beeping frenetically before beginning to gather energy and sending out a ZAP CANNON towards some tents. [break][break]

"I'll try to hit their radios before they have a chance to report up." [break][break]

You just want me to stay quiet?" she grins cheekily as suddenly the two shots protecting her rung outloud and Melody frowns[break][break]

"Oh come now guys! Where's security?! Don't let him show you up!" she exclaims to her Pokémon, she had sent several pokeballs out in that moment of darkness, her inteleon "Is the diva ready?! The show must go on!" she exclaims as suddenly a spotlight descends, meowscarada closing off the spotlight and melody vanishing and meloetta taking her place instead. [break][break]

"How about an enchanting lullaby?" as Meloetta nods in agreement and starts to enthrall her enemies in her performance and enter a deep slumber.

"Not every encounter needs to be a fight." He countered as he followed the idol's lead. As much as he hated Rocket, most of the time, he could agree with time and place. He snorts as she continued putting on a show. Even if they were the worst people to perform for. [break][break]

As Joules and Hopper cover him and Melody, he sends out his Mightyena to rush in for the kill, with Joules pushing right behind her. They slide in just as Meloetta's notes finish and fade, slamming and crunching sleeping Rocket's and their partners. The brief moment of respite is interrupted by a lash back of carnage, as not just Paxton's pokemon, but the remaining Rocket forces converge trying to shake the slumbering soldiers awake. [break][break]

Several fists and energy blasts bang into Joules sending them swirling backwards towards Paxton, dizzy and faint. His Mightyena fares worse, pushing forward to continue only to end up crushed, body snapped in half as a Machamp descends on her. [break][break]

"What our finale lookin' like?" he called out, eyes glancing briefly at Joules, before over closer to the 'stage' and the pink tendrils of smoke that were crawling out from under it. Hopper began to TERASTALIZE into a PSYCHIC type, preparing to move in to cover for the Magnezone.

As meloetta sings, more fans break towards the stage. She sucks on her teeth as she takes out her sword, it was more like a cane now as she blunted the edge. [break][break]

"Tut tut. You shouldn't rush an artist, Paxton!" She says as a Machoke rushes towards her and attempts to use DYNAMIC PUNCH However her sygnasuit shines and Melody moves back quickly at a blitz like speed. "Role-play!" she calls out as Melody uses FEATHER DANCE as her Orcicorio rushes to Melotta's side and copies it's DANCER ABILITY, also using feather dance on the enemy[break][break]

"However, Conveniently enough I think the finale is just around the corner!" She says as Melody's sygnasuit brimms with power and she rushes forward towards the Machoke and swiftly strikes at it using SWORDS DANCE Meloetta continues to use SING to put more of the rockets to sleep, controlling the song not to put Paxton and his pokemon asleep.

"Why don't we call it conducting?" he called back, holding fire as the slumbering pokemon struggle to stay away. His Mightyena is gone but Joules still carries on, trying desperately to form a protect before a FOCUS BLAST smashes her in unconsciousness. Paxton pulls her back and Hopper steps up. [break][break]

The little Porygon glows iridescent ( more than it already did TERA TYPED ). MIRROR COAT forms over its tiny body as it lay in wait to protect its trainer from any angle. The scene becomes more chaotic as they hear HEATRAN explosions in the distance.
