Everything was happening so quickly. Some freak island had been found by howard slayte, and Tempest Quinn. The meeting had been all but disastrous, he had to keep it together. When she bid him inside he walked in easy enough, and looked around the surroundings curiously enough.

"Ms. Sato, I hope you've been well...." He let the words lazily drift from his lips into the air. His gaze fixated to her face, and eyes. There was an intensity to it that wasn't usually there, but he was on edge being here. This woman knew a lot about him, and he still didn't know how he felt about that. "I trust you've kept the book safe....?" Came the question, though it was a silly one. He knew full well that she had, but he may as well ask anyways.

There was discomfort from his wounds, but he did his best to hide it. She was an Avatar after all, and he had just witnessed one get hijacked by their new patron. The last thing he wanted was to wind up in a volcano burning alive. Not to mention he still didn't know if she even tolerated him as a person. There were to many unknowns (pun not intended), for him to try, and be relaxed in this scenario. Despite the discomfort that his tension caused, he simply bore it with gritted teeth.

"So who is going to address the Copperajah in the room....?"

"Allow me to explain something to you Ms. Sato. I treat others how they treat me. If I am treated with hostility by someone I won't work with them, and I will be hostile back. If someone consistently talks down to me, then I will do it back. I am as a mirror in that regard." Eyes meeting hers sternly as he explains. "So no my frustration towards you wasn't misguided, it was guided properly. I am not here to make excuses or apologize for it either. Because I was not the one who struck first." He states to her simply again, and he looks over at the book. "Your feelings towards me are irrelevant, but to attempt to put down a freshly minted Scientist at his first meeting bodes poorly for our future interactions should it happen again." Then his eyes left hers, and he looked back down at the book, it would take some time for him to believe her words.

"I am here today to see if you can put action to those words you just spoke. If you can, then maybe there is a chance for a working relationship. All of that aside...." He lets his frown fade finally. "What can I do to help you? If anything?" Lifting his gaze back from the book towards her. "I know more than a few things about the Dynamax phenomenon due to my time in the parallel Galar, and the fact that I retained all of my memories...." Though parts of him wished he hadn't. "I was also responsible for smithing several of the Dynamax bands that others wielded....With the appearance of the power spots, I presume we are going to be using it sooner or later, no point in hiding what I can do." He shrugged a bit giving her what he thought was relevant info based on his minor glance at the book.

He listened to her hypothesis, and he tapped his cheek curiously for the moment. The nagging headache he had been dealing with since the meeting a few days ago was present, and making it harder for him to think, but he pushed through it.

"I know quite a bit about Dynamaxing, since in that alternate Galar I had the ability to build the bands that others used to channel Dynergy." He explained to her seeing no need to keep such information from her. "They require a peculiar material, but if we got our hands on it we could manufacture our own bands, and take advantage of the power spots." He expressed his idea to her. "I don't know where Dynergy comes from exactly, just that power spots are used to harness it, and the bands are used to channel the power into a pokemon. Aside from the technical knowledge that is all I can tell you..." He said with a bit of a frown, disappointed that he couldn't do more.

Though her suggestion to take the book to a power spot now that was interesting, but he nodded to her.

"We seem to have a surplus of them, I don't see the harm in trying to figure out what might happen if we do so." After all that is what science was, it was trying things, failing, and then trying again. Besides if something did happen then that could give them more clues on what was going on with this strange book, and what other mysteries it could contain. His eyes lit up a bit at the prospect.

"Would you like to talk there, or teleport?"

He tensed underneath her touch, it was a reflex, he wasn't use to others just so brazenly touching him, but when they were whisked away in the Teleport he tried to unstiffen a bit. When she let go of him he took a single step towards the power spot, wanting to keep at least some space between them. Listening to her talk about this particular one he nodded in understanding.

"I see, I agree with your thoughts if we were going to try one it may as well be one that wasn't made by us." When she held out the Violet book to him he only grabbed one part of it. "I'm just one man Ms. Sato....I think in this case two heads are surely better than one, no?" An easy smile on his lips as he did his best to move past the lingering influence from a certain snow coat.

"Together then...." If she accepted they'd raise the book up to the power spot, Amor being careful to not raise his arms higher than hers considering the height difference. Which might look a bit comical to some, but he didn't mind. It was just the two of them, and so he waited to see if there would be any sort of reaction to it. Of course nothing would happen, and he frowned furrowing his brow a bit. "That's a shame...." Lowering his own arm, and giving her full custody of the book once more he crossed his arms across his chest.

"Perhaps we could try something with Tera Energy next time, maybe after my tests with my Nebula Agents....Should that prove promising....Speaking of...." Teal eyes would latch their gaze to hers. "You should go speak to howard slayte about that book. He's an accomplished student of all things unknown...." Which is all he would say about the mans talents, should she take him up on the offer she'd discover just how valuable a man Howard truly was.

Her invitation to go back was met with a moment of silence as he just stared at the power spot.

"I'll make my own way back....I'd like to linger here for a bit...." It brought him back to memories of that other place, to the children that he had to say goodbye to, to the son that died protecting him.

This power was born from that world, his ability to craft it, harness it, and utilize it he owed it all to that place, and those memories that were seared into his mind. This powerspot natural as it was, to him was more akin to a monument to those faces that he would never see again. He wondered if Cillian Quinn, or Tempest Quinn felt this way, they must every once in a while. Sootopolis was even worse when so many sticking out around every corner, it was annoying. At least here it was peaceful.

"I appreciate you working with me on this today....I look forward to seeing how things progress from here on out, Ms. Sato...." Which despite how he may sound was sincere at the very least. "We will unlock it's secrets eventually, all things come in time."
