NIKE didn't like a lot of the auras she sensed in METEOR FALLS. Plenty of them were bloodthirsty. Others were simply savage. And a few were something else. Something mysterious. Something she hoped her master did not have the misfortune of finding.

Remiel, of course, was more or less oblivious about these auras. He and Nike shared a connection, but aside from sensing the need to be careful, he didn't pick up on anything deeper. Furthermore, as usual, he was here researching the DRACONID people.

The prince was now an expert in busying himself with work and ignoring everything else.

The AXEW lunges in for a BITE the moment Nike removes the boulder it hides behind. The Lucario instinctively raises her arm to defend herself, and soon finds the little dragon latched onto it. With the PSYCHIC power brimming in her eyes, however, she manages to remove it and fling it across the cavernous chamber.

Though she braces herself for another attack, however, it doesn't come. Instead, the Axew has chosen to flee. Trainer and Pokémon are thus free to continue their exploration of Meteor Falls.

They enter the lair of a ferocious NOIVERN before long. Her NOIBAT children scatter in all directions when the echoing footsteps of the archaeologist and his Lucario reach their ears. This, in turn, angers the once dormant beast hanging above.

Her bright yellow eyes are beacons in the darkness before she swoops down at them with a RAZOR WIND. Thankfully, Nike is there to take the blow for Remiel, shielding herself with her arms before reaching out with them and attacking with PSYCHIC power. This power manages to slam the Noivern against the cavern wall, burying her in a pile of rubble and giving them a chance to escape.

The duo manage to find themselves within an even larger lair than before. This one appears to have once contained ruins of some sort, but they have since been trampled into dust by the TYRANTRUM matriarch inside. Her chilling ROAR might have scared a lesser trainer away, but the exiled prince stands his ground.

Despite the following charge, Nike manages to hold her own before METEOR MASHING the giant dinosaur into submission. Just as she begins to stagger back up onto both feet, however, Remiel produces an empty Luxury Ball from his bag and casts it. Soon the Tyrantrum will find itself absorbed by a flash of golden light.
