…Dry land. Well, sort of dry land. The patch of sand he'd sprawled out on was slowly absorbing the gallon of seawater he'd carried with him, but anything was drier than the ocean. He had all manner of jobs to do; government officials to fend off, mysterious signals to investigate.[break][break]

He'd already put a lot of effort into the battle, though. Even just getting to this island had been a struggle; nobody would blame him if he took a few minutes to just lie here, recuperating. At least it was a quiet part of the beach. If it came down to it, he'd defend his sunbathing spot— uh, that was, get back to work… But until then, he needed to stockpile his energies for the fight ahead, or something like that.

Emerging from the water as Crowley made his way through the sea, the croc clawed his way through the wet sand as Yuina coughed and drew in a breath atop his shoulders. She was really getting so sick of being in the ocean, if after she could get away from all of this when it was done, she maybe wanted to spend some time not on an island in the middle of the ocean...[break][break]
She moved to stand from Crowley's shoulders as the Feraligatr stood and shook the water from his scales, and Yuina huffed as she leaned down, hands on her knees to just try and gain her bearings back. She moved to wring out some of her hair as she stood up straighter, but a low hiss in Crowley's throat caught her attention as the croc was eyeing something just down the beach from them...[break][break]
"Hey," she called out, finding her adversary had made it to the beach as well, the one she was pursuing. Crowley stomped along the sand with Yuina as she started towards him, they were definitely still in the middle of something.

"...You have got to be kidding me." Of course she'd be the one to find him. No rest for the wicked, right? He should have remembered that. Alba clambered to his feet like an old man climbing out of a chair, limbering up in preparation for the second half of their fight.[break][break]

"Let's finish what we started then, yeah? Now we're on land… I'll give you everything I've got." Slipping two Pokéballs between his fingers, the masked man flung them towards the sand. Pyukumuku, the Pokémon he'd been carrying before… And something that looked similar to a robotic Volcarona — an Iron Moth.[break][break]

"You don't mind me doing a little swap, right? Relicanth's a little tired, that's all."

Advancing up the beach now, Yuina moved with Crowley towards their pursuit as he stood opposite them, gathering himself from being in the water. While the small fish he had with him had been returned, Yuina watched then as he released... One of those metal machines that roamed the island...? Hmm... She didn't think they were Pokemon, and surely didn't think they could be captured...[break]
They would definitely have to keep on the offensive then.[break][break]
"Anything has to be better than what you had out in the water," Yuina returned, she was just annoyed at this point, this guy was just as rude and snarky as the rest of them. He was going to give it everything he had?[break]
"We'll get in on that too," she said as she stepped forward with Crowley, tapping the orb at her belt. Crowley began to glow and shimmer before taking on a deep indigo crystalline armor, his new found tera type after their exploits on that volcano. The croc hissed with an open maw as he lunged forward, bringing the water of the ocean with him in his movement, and thrust a Waterfall towards both the mechanical pokemon and their pursuit.

"That was my bad. I'm not a Water-type specialist, you know?" And he'd never really fought in the open water like that. Solid ground was his typical battlefield of choice, though maybe this was a sign to gain more experience with the sea.[break][break]

"Oh, you can Terastallize? Not bad, not bad." The Waterfall slammed into Iron Moth, clearly dealing a large chunk of damage as its electronic face flickered and spasmed. A streamlined attack to add more power to the hit... So that was the kind of strategy she was going for.[break][break]

"Gastro Acid, Hurricane!" Pyukumuku spewed out its stomach acids as Iron Moth whipped up the air, a dual attack that aimed to disable and dismantle.

Not a water type specialist? No one needed to be a water type specialist, but half of the region was made up of water... That didn't seem very well prepared to be out in this warzone... On an island... In the middle of the ocean...[break][break]
Her opposition still had one of the other small Pokemon out with him from the water and doubled down on attacking straight on, sending acids and whipping winds across the sand. Yuina tried to be as quick as she could, releasing Swann into the fray. While Crowley hissed and lowered down into the sand, digging his claws into the dirt, Yuina crouched behind the shield that Swann bore as the Aegislash fortified herself with "King's Shield to stave off the acids and most of the wind damage.[break][break]
Against the whipping winds, Crowley thrashed in the sand as he kept low to the ground, rushing with another Waterfall to try and stop the mechanical Pokemon in its attack.

"Oh, again?" As the Feraligatr rocketed towards it, Iron Moth zigzagged to the side, not quite managing to evade the attack, but at least mitigating the damage it took. As it started to twitch erratically, its wings snapped to face the sun, as it used Morning Sun to begin repairing itself. Meanwhile, Pyukumuku turned its attention to the Aegislash newcomer, waggling one of the 'fingers' of its stomach in an attempt to Taunt it.

Out in the ocean, Yuina could see the battle that they had split off from heading towards the shore, or at least, she could see figures in the near distance moving towards them... Maybe they were league forces and she would be able to stop him from getting too much further on the island? Stepping out from behind Swann, Yuina sent her two Pokemon forward to keep up the battle, if they could just keep going for a little bit longer... before things got worse and more those lava monsters came up from beneath the surface or any of the other threats that loomed amongst the island's depths...[break]
She really hoped that she wasn't about to run into more rockets if they were the group heading towards the beach though...[break][break]
Swann rumbled at being locked into her attack stance, but rushed forward towards the gleaming metal moth with an Iron Head attack to try and knock it out of the healing stance that it took. Crowley roared at narrowly missing his target, and standing from his near miss he opened his maw and released a beam of energy, a Tera Blast to aim for the smaller opposing Pokemon. They had to keep this up just a bit longer... Hopefully...

"Got you." The sea cucumber has no hope against the blast of energy, but it's a surprisingly spiteful creature. As it falters under the Tera Blast, its Innards Out activates, stomach curling into a fist before rocketing out of its mouth, trying to at least wound Crowley in vengeance.[break][break]

Too busy repairing itself to dodge, the Iron Head lands true, the last ditch healing keeping it in the game — and free to go all out, with no allies left on the field. Its body overloaded itself with electricity, before unleashing it in a violent Discharge that washed over the battlefield.[break][break]

It was a narrower thing than he'd care to admit. His Pyukumuku was down, his Iron Moth was badly injured, his Relicanth was too exhausted to battle… And from the way the background ambience was slowly getting louder, he was running on dregs of sand in an hourglass now. But Alba could be a spiteful creature as well; he'd dig his heels into the sand until he couldn't afford to anymore.
