This was, objectively, a fucking stupid thing to do.[break][break]

How many scientific leaps and bounds because of foolish ideas? You had to crack a few eggs to make an omelet, that’s what Kaname told himself as he entered the requisitioned lab with his Chansey.

However, he wasn’t the one cracking the eggs that day. That honor belonged squarely to perhaps one of the most unnerving men in Rocket, Underboss Cillian Quinn . It had come as a surprise when Underboss Quinn had asked him to observe this little experiment, but he couldn’t resist the opportunity to observe the effects of Nihilego toxin on the body- especially the body of an avatar.

“Of course, Underboss Quinn. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this little experiment.” He offered the Underboss a smile that bore the faintest traces of cruelty, like the Glameow who just ate the Chatot.

“Before we begin though, I’d like to collect a few vital signs to establish a baseline.” He gestured to the Chansey, who was wheeling over a vitals machine. “If that’s okay, that is.”

The sinister nature of Kaname's smile does not unsettle him; to a man who has spent his life in the company of criminals, it feels almost natural.[break][break]

Inclining his head to indicate both consent and an appreciation for being asked, Cillian verbally affirms, "Go ahead."[break][break]

Under scrutiny, his heart rate would be found quickened. Hardly surprising, considering the dangerous nature of the experiment they were about to undertake. Yet absent are the sweaty palms or wide eyes, suggesting that this anxiety was far more mild than it should be. If anything, the danger was almost exciting. His stomach flutters with the rush.[break][break]

Other vitals would appear stable. Normal. The underboss was in good health apart from his smoking habit, which itself affected his breathing.
