Remiel returns to the SAFARI ZONE once again to explore the multitude of ruins recently uncovered by the decaying leaves of the forest. It's a rainy day, so the exiled prince comes dressed in a trench coat and hood suited to the weather. In the meantime, the NIHILEGO that travels beside him begrudgingly endures the water droplets.

ESFRIT was a strange creature. Remiel had found her, weak and injured, in the depths of ULTRA SPACE. He'd gained her trust by allowing her to siphon some of his energy. Though he had since put a stop to that.

The MEGA KICK comes as a surprise as Remiel ventures through the ruins. The STONJOURNER responsible naturally blends into the setting surrounding it. Even still, its movements are clumsy and its kick misses Esfrit by a mile.

Without skipping a bit, the Nihilego casts a HEX on the Stonjourner and subdues it. A loud crash reverberates throughout the ruins as it collapses. Afterward, Remiel pulls out an empty Luxury Ball and captures it with a casual toss.

The spinning top barrels their way when it notices their presence amidst the ruins. Remiel is quick to take cover behind a pillar, but Esfrit hardly moves. Instead, she challenges the BALTOY despite its EXTRASENSORY powers.

While the force of the psychic impact caused her to wobble a little, however, the Nihilego soon countered with a devastating HEX. The Baltoy comes to a violent crash as a result. As it is wrapped up in the tentacles of the floating jellyfish, Remiel pulls out an empty ball and captures it.

An AIR CUTTER shatters a weak ruin wall, nearly burying Remiel in the rubble. If not for Esfrit, who shouldered the blow, it just might have. The SIGILYPH defending this place is clearly determined to see its responsibility through.

Nevertheless, Remiel is equally determined to conduct his research. So he sends in his Nihilego to cast a HEX. The super-effective attack cripples the Sigilyph long enough for him to pull out an empty ball and capture it.

There are too many webs covering the trees, their branches, the bushes, and the path ahead. Remiel finds it hard to advance any further, but he's certain there's an ancient site somewhere within that territory. The LARVESTA that calls this place home is a non-threat to him.

Or, at least, he thought so. Without warning, it FLAME WHEELS in their direction aggressively. Esfrit swiftly casts a ROCK SLIDE that stops that attack in its tracks, however. Afterward, the pair decided to move on.

The Nihilego takes a dive into the small pool they found at the heart of the ruins. It was too small and dangerous for Remiel to enter himself, especially without any diving gear. But he trusted the jellyfish could endure it despite its Rock-typing. ULTRA BEASTS were truly a marvel.

Before long, Esfrit reemerges with a RELICANTH captured in its tentacles. The ancient fish struggles against this capture, flailing about with a MUD SLAP. And, while it is successful in breaking itself free, it is buried beneath a ROCK SLIDE before it can squirm its way back into the water.

Remiel pulls out an empty Luxury Ball afterward and taps it against the exposed tail sticking out from the rubble. "Let's go now."
