THE ULTRA PLANT IS A DARK WORLD that is wracked by frequent thunderstorms. Lightning spears the desolate canyons and valleys of this world and massive cord-like structures bridge the gaps. Whenever lightning strikes, lights attached to these cords light up too. In the horizon, large Xurkitree can be seen, dwarfing the area you arrive in...[break][break]

Several abandoned power stations can be found throughout the area, but they seem to be deactivated...

The moment they step into this rift, the environment is so violent. It's different to the Mechanical Kingdom or Ultra Deep Sea. Ultra Plant is constant booming thunder and lightning streaking across dark, fast moving skies. The place is, environmentally, the roughest he's encountered. [break][break]

"Callie, think our suits will make it through this?" he asked as they stepped onto dry earth and electrical cords running everywhere. They dwarfed him, and in the distance perhaps mistaken by the boom of thunder, is strange, gigantic Xurkitree. [break][break]

He sees a nearby structure, and, it being the only thing around aside form the large electrical wires, he moves towards it. "On your guard, as usual, Moon." he said with a huff as he led the way, Joules by his side slightly above them keeping watch over the pair.

Callie doesn't understand why he keeps bringing her to these places, why the League needs more intel on these rifts when there are already so many groups going into it. But it isn't her place to question it, so she doesn't.

[break][break] She grimaces as they step into it, the change so violent that it makes her skin tingle even long after she's stepped out of it. When she blinks, she finds that the place they're around is one that she recognizes. It's then that she is reminded of the excursion that she went on with other people too — flashes of ginger hair and a warm smile, and her cheek flushes when she thinks of sunny clark.

[break][break] "Our" suits?" she scoffs, brushing the dirt from her elbows. "Don't you mean yours?"

[break][break] Callie doesn't have a suit, but she doesn't need one. She survived last time without it, after all.

"Ok, our uniforms then." he said as she stepped closer to him. "Seems a little more hostile than the MECHANICAL KINGDOM." he added as he kept pace with her. He begins to tread with care. The ground has giant...weird cables that run for miles. What was it powering? Where was it taking power from? Or was it all the thunderstorms that plagued this place. No rain too. Just lightning and storm clouds. [break][break]

He gestures at a small box like structure jutting out from the earth. "Look! Looks abandoned but...maybe it'll have something left in it to tell us more about this place." he said stopping when Callie tells him to. [break][break]

He squeezes his eyes shut as she tried to fix his hair, only to stare at her expression. "What did you do?" he asked, tone accusatory as he tried and failed to look at his new, big cowlick. He scoffs at her antics before taking to the station. The door is heavy, but he managed to push it through. It's dark but every so often lightning smacks against the ground and the whole tiny set up lights up. [break][break]

"This...place seems too small to house and control those huge cables out there." he said to his partner.

[break][break] 'Or me for that matter,' she thought, but didn't say anything else. It didn't need to be said — they'd survived war and fire, they could do this.

[break][break] Callie had been through here before, but with a whole different group of people. It was relieving to know that she would have her partner by her side, big cowlick and all.

[break][break] "Nothing," she quipped, before ignoring whatever else he had to say and walking the rest of the way down the path. The sound of thunder clapping in the distance sends shivers up her spine as well as a feeling of static thrumming atop her skin, but she ignores it. They'll be just fine.

[break][break] Eventually, they find their way into the building. It's a whole deal safer than when she'd come here with Cade Atreides and the others, a fact she is grateful for, as she looks over at paxton concordas .

[break][break] "That's because it isn't the only one. There are all sorts of safehouses through the rift. Though, can't say if they'll be any more dangerous than this one. We should be careful."

[break][break] She shuddered at the memory of what they'd seen last time and stamps it down.

[break][break] Instead, the officer walks through the power station and whistled for Skoll. The Lycanroc gave a bark before immediately racing off, sniffing at abandoned cords, wiring and broken down machinery. It looked like someone had tore through here already. One of the powerbanks had a large bite bitten through it.

Paxton is quiet as he listened to Callie, and Skoll taking off. He sees sparks fly up from the cables and flinched. "Wait- there's still power there? Is it running in from the outside?" he asked before the spark get wilders and the cable strengthens as lightning hits the stop of their station, shaking the building a little and echoing from the outside. [break][break]

As the torn cable shakes, the perpetrator of the gnawing spasms and shakes. He hears the hissing as another cut cable flops wildly on the floor before there's a sudden surge of energy as the cut off ends touch a lump on the ground that begins to hiss and rise. A Raticate, with sunken, rotted out eyes began to claw at the floor. [break][break]

"What the fuck is that noise?" Paxton asked, hand on one of his pokeballs as he summoned Hopper to hiss defense. The little Porygon moved in to hover protectively over Skoll as the lights continue flicker, only showing flashes of the Raticate corpse trying to stand and gather itself. [break][break]

To answer Callie's previous question, "No. No I don't think that is."

Her Lycanroc yelped as the generator comes to life, cables snapping with dangerous sparks of electricity.

[break][break] "Stay back, Skoll!" Callie hissed in warning, eyes widening when something strange suddenly resurrected beside it. It was a Raticate, but one that looked horribly misshapen, with black eyes that looked like pits.

[break][break] "Um.."

[break][break] Anxiety shot up her spine at the sight and she whistled sharp, stepping back quickly as the possessed Raticate snarled at the floor, clawing it's metal edges. To make matters worse, the doors that they had entered suddenly locked shut.

[break][break] "We gotta trap it!" Callie looked wildly about, spotting what appearead to be a weird old cage. "Let's get it in there, and maybe we can figure out how to activate it."

There's a flas of light and a little Mawile snarled, and grinned ready for action. The second head snapped angrily ready to bite down on prey. "You heard her Conibear! Push that thing into that other thing!" he said as the moved closer to Callie, eyes darting around their surroundings in case another one of the Raticate monstrosities started walking. [break][break]

Conibear cracks her little hands and Paxton's keystone glow in tandem. "Give it hell!" he ordered as the Mawile transformed, shedding rainbow light around the locked way station. The Raticate moves trying to chase the Lycanroc and clamp down disgusting giant fang on it when a MEGA EVOLVED Mawile boded it right off course, and smashed it putrid body into a side console. [break][break]

"Holy shiit- is that corpse water!?" he asked, barely able to see but hearing something liquid-y splash on the ground. Conibear is undeterred her two heads snapping angrily. As the Raticate scrambled to it feet she darted in with a burst of speed, slamming her fist into its mouth in a SUCKER PUNCH. The dazed creature ii knocked aide from her power, the deteriorated fang snapping and t let out a strange gurgle in response. "It can still feel pain??" Paxton noted, logging the phenomenon for later as Conibear continued punishing the creature, lining it up un front of the cage before letting of a FAIRY WIND launching the shambling corpse of a normal type into the cage and slamming the door after it. [break][break]

No sooner than she did that the station is hit by another lightning strike that ignite the mechanism around the cage, striking it with multiple bolts of electricity. He's not sure if it screams in fear of pain anymore.

Electricity crackled outside loud enough to shake the building like an earthquake, nearly enough to throw both officers off their feet. Thanks to paxton concordas 's quick thinking, though, they just nearly avoided the threat of death.

[break][break] But even though that fucked up creature was trapped in the cage, it wasn't over yet.

[break][break] Despite the several bolts of electricity that crackled around the cage, the zombie-like Raticate still snarled in it's confines. The doors were still locked.

[break][break] Callie searched around wildly to find out the reason why this wasn't working. 'Why wasn't this fucking working?' And that's when she saw it. The switch.

[break][break] "There - I'll get it!"

[break][break] She scrambled over the wires and across the room, immediately grabbing onto the handle to flip the switch to start the mechanism. "Fuck," she hissed. "It's stuck!"
