[attr="class","roythread"]Like a chattering children's toy, his teeth trembled in response to the cold. He was shivering. The frigid air had made its way with him. His limbs were locked with his fingers hidden by his underarms. This was the last place he wanted to be, but he didn't have much of a choice. His ego would prevent him from calling on his partner pokemon to assist with the cold.

While continuing his pattern of prints in the snow, he noticed a short girl in the distance. She was accompanied by a couple of pokemon. Maybe she was the one he was looking for. The trainer stopped for a moment to observe her examination and then advanced towards her location. In spite of the wind, his vibrating teeth made it impossible for him to be stealthy.

[attr="class","inner-finally"]In a place as desolate as this, it's rather immperative to be aware of anything and everything that moves or makes an odd sound. Her gaze snaps like the crisp chatters of his teeth, her right eye narrowing at the approaching figure.[break][break]

Moving on two feet, a lone figure that shivers in the freezing temperatures.[break][break]

She could probably outrun it if need be but for now, she will simply tilt her head and stop to observe them. Perhaps, they're just curious like she is. Perhaps, they're in need of some help or directions (which she can't quite offer, but she will still do her best). Either way, as long as they don't start running at her, she figures she could probably stick around.

It's freezing, but he maintains every bit of his composure outside of his chattering teeth. He does not seek to haunt her, or at least not in the normal sense. Curiosity fuels him. He wasn't here for her money. Just answers

"What are you doing out here?"

He challenged her size. Not only was this place dangerous because of the cold, but it was also sad. The idea that she was potentially here to pay respects never entered his mind. He was insensitive by design.

With his arms tied around his torso, he stood only a few feet away from her.

"Will you be my teacher?"

Again, he challenged her height, but this time it was in a joking tone. In spite of this, his question was genuine. Everyone heard stories about this place, but it was difficult to piece it all together. Roy was here for answers. He wanted the when, where and why. What pokemon was responsible for this and why did it do it in the first place. He wanted to know what it all meant.

"Can you tell me about this place?"

It's rare that someone thinks to ask a kid of what they know about a location. Even rarer that they'd actually be genuine about it.[break][break]

Though she hadn't been there herself, she had a habit of paying attention to the reports floating around the submarine from time to time.[break][break]

Unlike most people that would've been taken back by its appearance, Roy instantly shifted his posture in such a way that treated the pokemon like a campfire. With his palms forward, the draconid sought any method to remove the cold that started to eat away at his fingertips. This campfire would act as the cornerstone to the child's description of the location.

"Hmm," he only groans to her story as he's lost to his own imagination and memories. He had only seen things on television. He had never met anyone from this place that could explain it in such details. This is exactly what he was after, but he wanted to meet someone that survived it.

"It's certainly something," he speaks of the winter, as he attempts to warm his hands further by rubbing them together. "Do you know anyone that survived it?"

In a way, it felt weird asking someone so short, but there was no one else to ask. No one visited this place. No one was there to explain it all to him.

They're all rather prominent figures. Easy enough to find but perhaps, pretty hard to get ahold of for the regular person.[break][break]

Wouldn't it be really funny but weird if she'd somehow snuck to space herself though? Her mother might have laughed at just how ballsy she was, while her father would have been fretting non-stop when she got home.[break][break]

She mentioned a name or two that he recognized, but most of the details were foreign to him. Roy wasn't here for any of it. In a way, all of it was foreign, because he wasn't here for it.

"Yeah," he paused, taking a moment to absorb the scenery.

"And Kyurem."

Roy didn't like asking others for help, but he knew it was his best shot for specifics outside of exploring the area himself. Tales of apocalypse were common from his grandmother. The icy graveyard presented itself as something from one of those stories.

"Do you know anything about either of them?"

A breath to look at his reaction. Is he getting the gist of it? Reiner seems to be following along, and he's usually pretty outspoken on when she doesn't make much sense. Or maybe that's a judgemental look he's slipping her.[break][break]

"Apparently... I think what happened was that Rayquaza shattered it. And then... Kyurem came with the meteorite? Or maybe it came form another world... But that's how this place was formed, when it tried to freeze everyone."

Bits of information pierced through her narrative, but the full picture remained elusive. In spite of this, he maintained a facade of attentiveness, nodding along as if every detail resonated deeply with him.

"Do we know why Kyurem tried to freeze the world?" His voice carried a weight of genuine curiosity.

"Maybe it was forced to."

The enigma surrounding Kyurem's actions fueled Roy's curiosity, especially given the parallels he drew between the legendary dragon and tales from his childhood. The ancient draconids had a penchant for apocalyptic prophecies, and this real-life manifestation intrigued him in the same fashion.

"Thank you for all your help." Roy acknowledged with a nod, grateful for Eris's patient explanations.
