After waking with tears staining his cheeks, Roy suppresses his ambitions, burying them deep within until the right moment arises. For now, he plays the role of a prisoner and slave, obediently following the same monotonous routine as all the other prisoners. The repetitive cycle takes its toll, but the single thought of escape echoes relentlessly in his mind.

During his turn in the feeding pit, Roy begins to grow relaxed. The blind creature that prowls these underground passages had become less menacing with each passing day, weakened by its own struggles. Like Roy, the prison had taken a toll on its senses, offering an opportunity for Roy to navigate the space with growing confidence.

As he clears remnants of mochi and assorted debris, a haunting quote from his cellmate resurfaces in Roy's mind: "They'll pay for this." The words ignite a fire within him, fueling fantasies of escape and revenge. His yearning for reunion with Balmung and his other pokemon intensifies, driving him to devise a daring plan.

Inspired by the creature's predicament, Roy envisions a potential alliance, a pact made specifically for freedom. As he discreetly stuffs half-eaten mochi into crates, thoughts of partnership take shape. If he can earn the creature's trust, perhaps it could become an ally in their shared quest of escape.

"Hello?" Roy's voice quivers initially, wary of past encounters with the cudgel. "I think you're trapped down here like us," he continues, his tone carefully measured to prevent the guards from overhearing his message. "We should help each other." With no immediate response, Roy ends the conversation, cautious not to attract unwanted attention from the watchful wardens.

The legendary moves collide, causing an explosion that scatters winds and debris nearby. Despite the layer of pink protecting them, Balmung and Roy instinctively shield themselves, with Roy using his arms and his charizard deploying its wings.

In the midst of the ongoing battle, Balmung prepares to take flight, only to be halted by Roy's swift intervention as he steps forward, urging his pokemon to wait with an outstretched arm and open palm.

"Wait." Roy commands, effectively pausing the action.

The defeated four-legged dragon submits, its defeat resonating across the thousands of tera shards covering the wall. Suddenly, Roy feels a complex mix of emotions manifest from within. A wave of jealousy washes over him, distracting him from his own pokemon and directing his focus towards the timekeeper generated from crystals.

"itrewic svern," Roy murmurs, his tongue weaving like a serpent as he whispers the phrase.

In response, Dialga breaks free from its constraints. Like before, the legendary creature unleashes another Roar of Time towards Illeana and her guardian.

Roy complies without resistance, following orders and biding his time for the right moment to act. Smuggling tera shards into his mouth is just one of his many escape strategies. Unfortunately, his exhausted body took a toll on his mind, clearly an intentional maneuver made by their captors. As another tray of mind-altering mochi arrives, he consumes half, leaving the remainder for his cellmate, his focus solely on methods of escape.

Nigthfall brings no negotiations with the alchemist, no conversations, just a silent surrender to exhaustion. Collapsing against the prison wall, Roy accepts the discomfort as the only option, sacrificing the cot for Illeana's comfort. There was no point in arguing over it.

As sleep claims him, Roy awakens to a dream world, a distorted mirror of a city he vaguely remembers from his exploration into Ultra Space. Despite its dilapidation, familiarity fuels him, guiding his steps through the labyrinth. It isn't long before he stumbles upon his own pokemon locked behind a glass wall and a suspicious fluid. In spite of his initial attempts to find vulnerabilities in the structure, he abandons the effort, sensing an unsettling aura lingering in the air.

A familiar voice breaks through the dream's eerie ambiance, drawing Roy's focus. Stealthily navigating the room's interior, he seeks out the source of the voice, eventually coming face to face with his old friend Noel.

"Noel?" Roy's voice cuts through the dream's haze, seeking answers in this strange place that held their pokemon captive. "What is this place?"

[attr="class","roythread"]Struggling to keep pace with Eris's rapid recounting of the meteor's cataclysmic arrival and the legendary Pokémon it unleashed, Roy felt like he was caught in a whirlwind of words. Bits of information pierced through her narrative, but the full picture remained elusive. In spite of this, he maintained a facade of attentiveness, nodding along as if every detail resonated deeply with him.

"Do we know why Kyurem tried to freeze the world?" His voice carried a weight of genuine curiosity.

"Maybe it was forced to."

The enigma surrounding Kyurem's actions fueled Roy's curiosity, especially given the parallels he drew between the legendary dragon and tales from his childhood. The ancient draconids had a penchant for apocalyptic prophecies, and this real-life manifestation intrigued him in the same fashion.

"Thank you for all your help." Roy acknowledged with a nod, grateful for Eris's patient explanations.

In the heart of the Giant Chasm, where Roy had chosen to hone the power of his newly-acquired ancient dragons, the very fabric of reality seemed to unravel. The once serene training ground erupted into chaos as thunder roared across the darkened skies, and crackling energy danced around them, warping the air itself.

As the gravity wavered, Roy's dinosaurs reacted with primal agitation, their instincts sensing the disturbance in the very weave of time and space. The trio of Walking Wake, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt howl and moan at the sudden shift in atmosphere and begin to snap at each other, as if they blamed each other for the rapid change in scenery.

"What the hell is going on?" Roy's voice was lost amidst the howling winds and crackling energy, as his skin was coated in layers of goosebumps. He could recognize the feeling of this strange distortion, but he couldn't recall its source.

With a sudden burst of lightning, wild Pokémon materialized from the rift, some familiar while others were entirely alien. Without hesitation, his dinosaurs launched into the fray, elemental attacks crashing against the invaders in a relentless assault. The invaders, caught off guard by the ferocity of Roy's dragons, faltered and fell under the relentless assault, like prey to a pack of predators.

As swiftly as they appeared, the interlopers vanished in a burst of thunder, leaving behind the victorious trio of dragons. With the space disruption fading, Roy quickly recalled his dinosaurs. Their training session was over.

"Whatever you're dealing with, just know that we're here to help. Your home is safe. I promise."

As his palm met the creature's hide, a profound calm spread through the cavern. The Haxorus ceased its thrashing, fixating on Roy with a mix of curiosity and wariness.

With a mastery of tone that resonated with ancient power, Roy spoke fluently in draconic, commanding attention and respect from the beast. The Haxorus, in response, lowered its head in acknowledgment, a silent truce forged between the trainer and the titan.

Roy's mind wrestles with the outcome of the vote, despite the positive result. Though broken and weary, thoughts of revenge still flicker in his mind. He clings to the belief that there must be a way out, a path to freedom, a route to Balmung.

Before he can entertain another glimmer of optimism, Okidogi's cruel toss sends Roy crashing into the mess below the platform. Rotten flesh and remnants of dessert cushion the impact, but pain still ripples through his exhausted body. The chain around his neck connects to the floor, anchoring him to the ground and restricting his movements. With orders given to him by one of the megalopans, Roy resigns himself to the menial task at hand, recognizing obedience as his only chance for survival.

"You okay?" he mutters, turning to check on his cellmate.

Before an answer can be given, a looming threat materializes against the shadows. A strange creature is drawn to Roy's words. With a relentless charge, the monster targets the draconid, unleashing vine-like whips that lash out. Roy's attempt to evade are hindered by his chained leash, trapping him within the creature's reach.

Roy paused, his eyes scanning the flowing water as if he was seeking inspiration from its ancient currents. Despite his proficiency in draconic, his tongue still stumbled over unfamiliar words, weaving through the language's intricate tones and whispers until he found the right ones.

"qe tokeq."

The syllables hung in the air as the meaning of the phrase finally made its mark on the draconid. It was a farewell, tinged with a sense of finality that echoed through the peacefulness of the riverbank. Helping the Top Champion learn these words felt bittersweet in some strange way.

"I have to get back to work," Roy announced, rising from his spot by the river. "It was nice seeing you again."

With a nod of respect, Roy headed back to his duties at the shrine.

Roy's plan crumbles under the watchful eye of their simian warden, who doesn't miss his sly attempt to conceal a crystal. It's a costly mistake, a lesson etched in the realization that cleverness alone won't secure his freedom. If he's to escape this prison, he'll need to do far better than that. For now, he would begrudgingly play the role they've assigned him.

As the chain tightens around his neck, he's forced to relinquish the tera crystal behind his mask. His gaze darts around the room, landing on a crystal on the ceiling that displayed a brutal spectacle. Pokemon images flash across the screen as the megalopolans smash poke balls between each swap of the monitor. Each strike takes a toll on him, but the realization does not truly set in until he sees his own kingdra appear on the screen.

The anguish consumes him, manifesting in erratic movements until he's dropped onto the floor with the other prisoners. Exhausted and drained, his mind races with thoughts of survival and escape. When the prison guards demand his response, Roy's gaze shifts between Illie and the drooling megalopolan.

"Trust," he murmurs hoarsely, pushing himself up from the cold floor with trembling palms.

Roy didn't like asking others for help, but he knew it was his best shot for specifics outside of exploring the area himself. Tales of apocalypse were common from his grandmother. The icy graveyard presented itself as something from one of those stories.
