It was a fine autumn day to be out hiking. POPPY the SKY-FORME SHAYMIN had initially been disheartened by the dying leaves and darkened trees, of course. But she knew better than anyone that it was part of the process.[break][break]

Not that her SERENE GRACE couldn't bring some life to the Safari Zone anyway, of course. Regardless, the Shaymin instead chose to enjoy flying about as her master went forth in search of ruins. When he came upon a particular site, she would glide to investigate with him.[break][break]

Poppy stops to smell a rose growing out of cracked tile and stone. Suddenly, the pillars looming over her begin to move. It is none other than a STONJOURNER that makes her acquaintance there. And the CURSE it casts makes it clear that it is not friendly.[break][break]

But the little Shaymin is nothing to scoff at. She fires a SEED FLARE at the lumbering titan that causes it to stumble backward before collapsing. Unable to pick itself back up quickly, it is quickly captured within the Luxury Ball that Remiel casts.

This BALTOY is unlike the others they've encountered so far. It RAPID SPINS with unexpected ferocity, crashing through pillars as it chases Remiel and his Shaymin out of the ruins. And the tablet Remiel was hoping to translate? Destroyed.[break][break]

Needless to say, he's aggrieved by this turn of events. Rather than have Poppy lash out against the Baltoy, however, he takes a deep breath. There were more ruins out there... he would find another tablet soon enough.[break][break]

The SIGILYPH is quite nimble in the air. After it had attacked them with an AIR CUTTER, Poppy had chased it upward to try and land a SEED FLARE. This proved quite ineffective.[break][break]

It wasn't until Remiel shone a light in its eyes, reflecting the sun off his pocket watch, that the Shaymin had the chance to strike again. This time she would cause it to tumble from the sky with a LEECH SEED. As it struggled, Remiel would pull out a ball and capture it.[break][break]

The LARVESTA unleashes a horrifying SCREECH that echoes throughout the woods. Remiel finds it hard to ignore as he investigates the ruins nearby. He's noticed a few pieces of scattered webbing here and there, though... he imagines it might come and meet him soon.[break][break]

When Poppy comes running to him, biting at the hem of his pant leg and trying to pull him away, he knows it is time to leave. So the archaeologist quickly packs his things and makes himself scarce.[break][break]

Poppy stopped to take a sip from a pool of water nearby. What she hadn't expected was a RELICANTH to suddenly emerge and cast a MUD SLAP in her direction. Angered by the attempt, but otherwise unspoiled, the Shaymin casts a SEED FLARE.[break][break]

The ancient fish is so startled by this attack that it leaps out from the pool! It flops around pointlessly before Remiel approaches it with an empty Luxury Ball in hand. Within seconds, he captures it.[break][break]

Poppy and Remiel soon come across a canyon-like wasteland outside the borders of the forest. They venture down into the canyon itself to see if they can find any more ruins, but instead find a RELLOR busying itself with its ball. Unfortunately, as soon as it spots them, it tries to TAKE DOWN the Shaymin.[break][break]

Thankfully, the Shaymin is far too swift. She retaliates with a SEED FLARE after evading the strike, sending the small bug crashing against the canyon wall. Afterward, her trainer produces an empty ball from his pack and captures it.[break][break]
