The sky was overcast with a thick blanket of grey clouds. Patrolling the shores of the island had become a daily practice, but the League trainer assigned today had unfortunately perished in some unforeseen skirmish. The RANGERS had reached out for a replacement, and Remiel Calcifet had volunteered. Another chance to prove himself.[break][break]

Standing atop a white DONDOZO that slowly swam through the waters, Remiel pulled up the binoculars hanging from his neck and surveyed the shore ahead. He didn't see anyone... yet. But he'd heard reports of a mysterious woman having been sighted here. And he wasn't going to leave until he found something or the sun set on the horizon.[break][break]

Either way, he couldn't help but think how this might be nothing more than a distraction, keeping him from exploring the caverns below.[break][break]

The skirmish earlier that had killed the Leaguer on patrol was her own doing. She'd been combing the area recently doing reconnaissance to prep for a ground expansion from Rocket's side later on. This area was valuable since there was an underwater cave that could serve as a smuggling point as it also lead further into the island.[break][break]

If Rocket gained control of that area it would be easier to transport supplies to their troupes and they would also serve to push back the League, which was the main point of all this. Control of the island. Victoria was aware that her performance here was pivotal and she had already secured a small victory. [break][break]

Perhaps that was the cause of her growing comfortable. Either way, the woman breaks the surface of the ocean's waves when she assumes no one is looking. Her plan was to radio to Rocket her findings briefly before pushing forward and securing the cave herself before calling for reinforcements. Her PHIONE waded beside her patiently waiting for it's next instructions moving forward.

Hands at his hips, he scrutinizes the young female in the tactical gear with a look. "You being here must mean you're protecting something for TEAM ROCKET, right? Perhaps a supply cache. The avatar shifts his gaze to the shoreline afterward before taking notice of an encroaching INTERDREAM MIST behind her. It slowly was beginning to cascade down from the hills further inland. Soon enough, it would spread its influence across the beach and the very sea they currently resided upon.[break][break]

Tori jumped once she realized she wasn't alone. She'd never seen this guy before. But then again, what did it matter. She'd never seen plenty of people that were on the island but that made no difference to her. She frowned as the skies above began to darken. She wasn't protecting anything, at least not yet. She was here to steal it. [break][break]

Without much word, Neri, her Phione, used DIVE to go deep beneath the water's surface. Meanwhile her Arctovish appeared with a timely HAILSTORM in store for them. "I suppose you're not just going to let me have my way, right?" she said as she waded through the water. "That's fine, but I am in a hurry....so." The impending DREAM MIST behind him was proof that this altercation was on a timer.

The stranger had a PHIONE. It DIVES before Remiel can properly target it. Meanwhile, the HAIL her ARCTOVISH summons proves to be an immediate annoyance. Remiel orders it to be cleansed from the area with a simple RAIN DANCE from his Dondozo.[break][break]

"Are you in the habit of underestimating your opponents?" The former ADMIN inquires, drawing a Luxury Ball from his belt before summoning a LOTAD onto the ocean waves. With a simple hand gesture, it is prompted to summon a thick MIST.[break][break]

"You remind me of myself."[break][break]

Remiel adds as he disappears from view.

Underestimate? No, she usually didn't do so. She had long put such childish arrogance behind her. Rather she was pressed for time both because of the impending DREAM MIST that was hurdling towards them, and the fact that she needed to report to Rocket. She wanted to secure this route for them as soon as possible. She didn't have time to be playing here. [break][break]

"No no. I'd never do that, not to you, handsome." she teased as she watched in annoyance as the HAILSTORM was cleansed. Annoying as it was it was fine. Her Phione returned from her underwater adventure with damage reflected towards the Dondozo from. [break][break]

A snap of her fingers and her Arctovish made itself hidden temporarily as well, replaced by her CLOYSTER who readied ICICLE SPEARS at the Lotoad. Neri, her Phione assisted coating the ice shards in her poisonous ACID ARMOR, a combo they had used to kill plenty of pokémon before. just ask Genevieve Cromwell.

The Phione strikes the Dondozo, nearly knocking Remiel off-balance as well. Instead, he casts a LIGHTNING STILETTO towards the beach and teleports. His white catfish, in the meantime, tries to strike the Phione down with a HEAVY SLAM.[break][break]

Remiel, now stepping across the sands, made it a point to keep himself hidden from the woman. His Lotad crawled onto the beach after him, using its NATURE POWER to find whichever Pokémon it could a drown it in a tomb of sand.[break][break]

"You find me handsome, do you?" The black-haired royal smiles, narrowing his sharp blue eyes on a faint figure he thinks might be her. "Then why don't you come out and show me your face?"[break][break]

Victoria's brows knitted into a frown once the man that had been in front of her dissapeared. That was not normal and once again she was hit with the sinking similarity between Cillian's MIASMA and Isaac Merlo with his freaky water tricks. So that must mean she was going up against another Avatar. [break][break]

She'd heard about the League having a group of these freaks under their belt, she just hadn't been prepared to run into them back to back. "Fuuuuck." she muttered to herself as she cracked her neck. Nothing could ever be easy could it? She lost sight of him but she kept her gaze on the Lotad as she made her way towards shore herself. [break][break]

Her suit was dripping with sea water once she made land, but she didn't have long to relax before the Lotad was attempting to suck her Cloyster into a SAND TOMB of doom. "Tch." she clicked her tongue and her Cloyster attempted to PROTECT itself to mitigate some of the damage from the attack.[break][break]

Meanwhile her Phione attempted to avoid the HEAVY SLAM to no avail, it simply wasn't fast enough. With a shriek, Victoria turned to see that her Phione had fainted. "Neri!" she called out before swiftly recalling her pokémon. "Poor thing," she muttered as she swapped her Phione out for her Eelektrik. The electric eel entered the scene with a readied THUNDER WAVE for the Dondozo, revenge for it's fainted friend.[break][break]

She turned her attention back towards the missing avatar and chuckled. "Don't you think mystery is part of the excitement?"

The woman’s tactics are unexpected and bizarre. She manages to PARALYZE his Dondozo in the water but, as it struggles to remain afloat, it HEAVY SLAMS into her Eelektrik. The resulting slam causes it to accidentally beach itself, sucking in a mouthful of sand before FAINTING. Remiel quickly returns it to its ball.[break][break]

His Lotad, in the meantime, charges at her Cloyster with the intent to fire a WATER GUN at point-blank range. It doesn’t realize it is moments away from its own death. Remiel furrows his brow as he spawns a LIGHTNING BOLT in his hand. “Do you really want to keep going through with this, my dear? Is it worth it?” He inquires as it crackles by his side.[break][break]

He took no pleasure in intimidation or violence. But it was one or the other in the pursuit of his IDEAL WORLD, it seemed.[break][break]
