she doesn't come to league hq often, but her meeting with makes the stars align perfectly for a coincidental encounter. she descends the steps with her head down, phone in hand, and only sees the snowball once it's exploding into powder against her ranger uniform.

her hand smooths over her jacket, flicking melting snow off her fingertips with a twist of her wrist, as she looks up to find the culprit. it's both a surprise and no surprise at all to see with the smoking gun.[break][break]"can't you just say hello like a normal person?" [break][break]
but she doesn't brush him off this time. instead, she palms a fistful of snow off the railing and throws one back at him.

[break][break]"you're sooo annoying."[break][break]she picks up another handful of snow and stalks across the yard towards him. her fingers turn red as the snowball begins to melt against the heat of her skin, but she's not going to waste it by whiffing another throw. [break][break]instead, she tries to grab the fabric of his jacket to keep him from getting away from this one.

but his laugh slips out as well, uncaring and free as it mingles and intertwines with hers. he can't seem to remember the last time he heard her laugh.[break][break]

not even needing to move, he places his palm flat on the ground, forming a makeshift slide out of dirt that rises to funnel snow that sits atop the grass to slide down and into her face.

he parrots her and accentuates the worst parts of how she speaks, dragging it out for longer than he should just to emphasize his point. and before he has to chance to say more, another handful of snow is sprinkled over him, though this time he stays perfectly still and just accepts it.[break][break]

raising a hand as though to counter, he pauses for dramatic effect only for nothing to happen. instead, he swipes at strands of hair that stick to his forehead before splashing the residual water over at .[break][break]
