Space distortions- a familiar concept to many- to almost all but Sio. SUre, they've heard of them plenty of times. Heard whispers on the wind from trainers who had already experienced it before. And yet, all the more alluring, is the fact that the reporter doesn't have any of that information for herself. To constantly hunger, and barely to feed. To be left in the dark, with but the barest embers burning- tumultuous desire for more and more and more that leaves the candle burning at both ends.

Sio is far from experienced enough to deal with such a phenomenon on her own, and yet here she is- two pokemon out, and the other three in their pokeballs for safe keeping.

After all, when they're forced to their knees like this, when the strings yank them downaward, all she can bring herself to do is write. Scrawl feverishly, as if the very moment she left this membrane, there'd be nothing left for her to gain. Write and write and write until the Hisuian Arcanine finally takes the valiant swing of his claws right to her heart and--

FWOOSH!!

All at once, brilliant purple flames surround the reporter- the work of Wisp, for certain. Though, between the size of those flames, and the harsher cries the pokemon lets out, something feels..amiss. Not quite like the Litwick she's always known. Through weary, squinted eyes, Sio can only sit and bear witness as another uproar of flame captures all that stands before them in spectral smoke- as the pokemon changes shape, grows in size once more- the signature flame dance of a Lampent takes form.

And at the same time, Kaló returns as well, seemingly more tired than usual. The power that emanates from her is grander- wait, that emanates? As if to answer to their nonverbal curiosity, Kaló thrusts her head forward once more, showcasing a wild cut of psychic energy. Though, perhaps that wasn't all that she picked up...

Another distortion - this time in the Safari Zone of all places. That these distortions keep happening is a source of concern for El, especially after the events in Route 121 - as a part of them keeps expecting that once the storm passes, there will be those displaced as a result.

There's a small part of them, that worries that they may end up the one displaced, if they are not careful here.

But as a Ranger, it's their duty to make sure that the impact it has on the wildlife here is minimal, and that nobody gets hurt - and their pokemon are more than ready to back them up in this endeavor.
