EXPOSITION

THE SAFARI ZONE — a space-time distortion has descended within and around and in the heart of the safari zone, bringing thunder and lightning and darkened skies. As you approach this dome of crackling energy, you can feel the world being unstable all around you. Traversal through the purplish membrane of this realm is seamless and yet, the world contained within is wholly different than what is outside.[break][break]

Highly aggressive Pokemon appear out of nowhere, as if teleported from an entirely different plane. Some of these Pokemon are of species never before seen.

THE APPEARANCE OF THIS SPACE-TIME DISTORTION MAY SEEM UNUSUAL; AFTER ALL, AREN'T PALKIA AND DIALGA FREE? HASN'T THE SHAPE OF THE UNIVERSE, THE TOPOLOGY OF THE COSMOS, OF DIMENSION AND TIME, UNRAVELED AND EXPANDED FROM ANOMALOUS COMPRESSION?

Furthermore, the passage of time seems to flow differently here. The physical space before you glitches and fidgets too, occasionally forcing you to your knees.[break][break]

Should Yuina Higashi enter this distortion, she will hear disembodied voices saying, "anomaly... anomaly... anomaly..."[break][break]

Participating in this distortion will allow your character to retrieve one of the following items per character:[break]

ONCE YOU HAVE COLLECTED EACH OF THE RED, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW SHARDS, you can consume/redeem them all in the SITE SHOP for 100 PD. These shards are also required items to craft a SYGNA SUIT.

HOW TO:

TO PARTICIPATE IN A SPACE-TIME DISTORTION, your character must make an IC-post of them entering the realm. Each of your characters can participate.[break][break]

However, your characters only have a limited amount of time to take advantage of the space-time distortion's peculiarities. Using items from the SITE SHOP that you have purchased or have earned, you can perform the following free actions.

AS OF THIS DISTORTION, EVOLUTIONS, FORM CHANGES, MOVESET ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE DONE FOR FREE WITHOUT A SITE SHOP PURCHASE/USE OF AN ITEM.

It was no wonder now that she had learned what she had about herself, that a distortion took her from this point in time and whisked her off to that far away place, almost erasing who she was from this point only to bring her back with nothing more than a name, that Yuina would be seeking them out. She was working closely with Tempest Quinn now, trying to learn about their energy signatures to learn more about them, and had also allied with howard slayte on the matter knowing that it would lead to being able to learn more and maintain more about Hisui than any other historians could.[break]
But most importantly, above wanting to accurately portray Hisuian history, above wanting to understand the science of distortions, above wanting to track and predict them to be able to alert the public of them like a storm system... Yuina's driving force was seeking the answer to just one question...[break][break]
Why?[break][break]
Why was she lost to time, why did she lose her memories? Why was she unable to remember anything about her life before being given her name Yuina Higashi? And why did it feel like it was on purpose...?[break]
Surely whatever powers were out there weren't sitting there and making decisions about individuals the way they existed in the world, but she just couldn't help but wonder and pine for those answers, to know if it was some cruelty? Was it some malicious act by an immense power that she would never know?[break][break]
Or was it just some sick twist of fate and it was all an accident, and she was destined to just live this hollow life and assume with nothing else that it was her own fault?[break][break]
As soon as the first reports came in of another distortion breaking out, Yuina knew she couldn't miss the chance. However, learning the location of the distortion came as a bit of a surprise, around Fortree City, just like the two in the swamps... That seemed odd, or perhaps not at all, there didn't ever seem to be a pattern in which these rips in time occured, something as chaotic as that couldn't possibly have designated locations to occur.[break]
With little delay and knowing that she couldn't spare any time given the unstable nature of the distortions, Yuina wasted no time in making her way to the north eastern portion of the region, and in her sights she could see the broken sky, the fizzling, crackling energy... And coming closer still she could hear it, and feel her hair standing on end, until she stood with Daikenki beside her, staring at the wall between her and those broken threads of time-space...[break][break]
For that moment, Yuina did hesitate, knowing now what distortions were truly capable of. Pokemon appeared from them, items became lost in time, and humans could too, knowing what happened to the Hisuians that were attacked by the Megalopolans... The internal fear of getting lost in time all over again was there, she couldn't ignore it... But she couldn't ignore the burning question either... If she was lost all over again, she hoped that her friends in this life would look for her...[break][break]
Stepping in through the shredded fabrics of space-time, Yuina was now overtly familiar with the over all feeling of being thrust into this liminal space... Her ears were clogged, her head felt heavy, her eyes were glazing over, unfocussed... But she didn't fight any of this, it was one of the only things that she was truly familiar with, so ingrained in her memory now, she almost welcomed it...[break]
The air shook and trembled around her, every piece of grass was trying to decide which side of space-time it was supposed to settle on, and as she stood next to Daikenki, looking up into the void of it all, Yuina just tried to focus... She was reaching out for anything, memories, images, sounds... That voice that had called out to her before.... Called the name that didn't belong to her... But nothing came, until...[break][break]
Not just one voice, but multiple voices, or it could only be one voice broken and distorted by the ripping fabrics of reality...[break][break]
'Anomaly... Anomaly... Anomaly...[break][break]
There was nothing out there through the static and crackling energy that Yuina could see, she couldn't determine if it was right beside her ear or farther away than she could ever fathom, but it was there... Something... Something was out there...[break][break]
"Please! Who are you! I won't stop seeking you out... Just tell me who you are!"

The peace of the Safari Zone was soothing to Jack as he wandered around searching for pokemon to photograph. When the distortion opened up nearby, sending nearby pokemon fleeing, Jack heaved an enormous sigh. The troubles of the world bother me even here.[break][break]

Releasing Harpe from his pokeball, Jack rushed forward with the Aegislash and passed through the membrane of the distortion as if it was nothing. He felt the familiar churn in his stomach as reality seemed to flicker and break as he eyes moved across the alien landscape. He scanned their surroundings, looking for any hapless trainers or wild pokemon caught by the distortion's unexpected appearance but found nothing.[break][break]

Reality shifted suddenly, knock him to his knees. He recovered quickly, spotting unfamiliar pokemon flickering into being nearby, their bestial roars sending a shiver down his spine. "Nothing for us to do here," he muttered to Harpe as he turned and raced back out of the distortion.

The internal struggles that Yuina Higashi were enduring were missed for now. Tempest was too busy trying to get the various equipment he had brought with him up and running.[break][break]

It was short notice. But these Distortions always were, weren't they? There then gone in a flash.[break][break]

The small grab bag wasn't enough for a full scope reading. Data was data, so he would take half baked calculations and readings over jack shit.[break][break]

When the final piece of equipment lights up, Tempest lets out a mad cackle. Yuina moves into the Distortion...[break][break]

"Yu? You alright?" The woman pleads out to nothing, making Tempest frown as he glances over at her.[break][break]

The storm surges and swirls, whipping the ends of his hair into his face.[break][break]

"Here! You hold this while I hold this one, okay?" Tempest offers Yuina a hand-held barometer while he adjusts the Radiometer in his own hand. There is a warm smile given to the other; he isn't sure how to comfort her.[break][break]

"We'll get this figured out, alright?"

Mimi wanders off trails as her curiosity pulls over her toward the sudden appearance of a distortion that can be seen afar from the Safari. While normal people would catch up to Mimi and pull her away - Zahra did otherwise as she shares the same curiosity for that place like Mimi. Zahra has heard about distortion passingly here and there from various locals however this is the very first time that she actually sees it - she wonder what is there on the other side of the distortion? what kind of secret that do they hold? While she is not that intellectual where she can find the answer on her own - that questions still wander on the top of her head; perhaps one day she could meet up with a scholar that spend their time to study about this distortion. Mimi step through the distortion first, followed by Zahra - the traversal was not a smooth one, it leaves with nasty feeling throughout her body. Zahra felt a bit disoriented when she lands to the other side but once she felt slightly better; she noticed that she can't find Mimi anywhere. [break][break]

Mimi! WHere are you? Don't pull any prank Zahra shouts trying to call out for her diva friends but there is no Ralts can be seen around her. Zahra frantically looks everywhere then suddenly a voice can be heard. However, it is not a Ralts' voice... it is Kirlia's instead. Something click in her mind Wait, don't tell me... is that you Mimi? Zahra asks to the newfound Kirlia. She twirl and cry happily, acknowledging her questions. Zahra quickly pick her up and hugs her feeling relieved. Please don't do that. I am worried sick Zahra whisper then she gradually put her down then looks around what surrounds her.[break][break]

Born from the ashes like Ho-oh, this was just a new beginning, something far worse than the girl who grew up neglected. Something else was forged in those flames as the city burnt. You didn't know then, exactly what would come of that, just fanned the flames eagerly as you helped sweep up the aftermath.[break][break]

But it couldn't be any more clear, looking back, exactly what kinda monster was born of that. [break][break]

Uh oh! All Andrea wanted was to visit the Safari Zone in search of rare Pokémon, but instead had found herself trapped in another space-time distortion and being chased down by a feral Kleavor. Normally, this would not have been an issue if she had Chomper with her, but alas...

"Jalapeño, use Flamethrower!" The little Fuecoco that could tried its darnest to protect its trainer, but its fiery breath could not melt Kleavor's rock-hard exoskeleton. Comedic sweatdrops hovered over their respective heads as the ancient mantis closed in, ready to cut them down with its axe-like arms.

Suddenly, one of Andrea's Pokéballs popped open on its own, an egg-shaped friend coming out. "Get back in the ball, Jovie! That thing is too dangerous!" The girl tried to warn her Blissey, only for the Happiness Pokémon to confidently look back at her. "Wait, you actually wanna battle it?!"

Jovie nodded, before being bathed in a peculiar aura, making its stubby limbs grow much more muscular. Blissey were known for their tankiness, but it was like Jovie's defensive and offensive stats had just been swapped, making her the buffest Blissey in the world!

The pink menace charged at the enemy, beating their lights out with a Fire Punch, an Ice Punch, and finally a Thunder Punch. Deciding that hunting this particular prey was no longer worth the trouble, Kleavor retreated into the woods to lick its wounds.

"That... was... AMAZING!" The eccentric trainer ran up to the beefed up egg, enveloping her in a big hug. "I never knew you were this strong, Jovie~!" The girl cooed, while nuzzling her face against her Blissey's well-defined, glistening pecs.

Meanwhile, Jalapeño found a scarlet-colored shard half-buried in the soil, digging it up and claiming it as his own. Shiny things were nice.

The familiar crackle of purple energy and gathering of storm clouds alerted Zev to the sudden space-time distortion. Expecting an attack from hostile Hisuian Pokémon, he immediately barked orders to his Doublade to prepare a defense.[break][break]

Lo and behold, they came: a pack of dual-type Lilligant. Despite being one of Zev's newer—and therefore less trained—Pokémon, Doublade held his own well, cutting down his foes with precision and speed.[break][break]

After the fight, his form glowed and warped in the common process of evolution. When the light dispersed, an Aegislash hovered in the air before Zev, awaiting further command. Unfortunately, the battle had taken its toll on the Royal Sword Pokémon; his steel body sported several scuffs and nicks.[break][break]

"We're heading back," he said, extending a Pokéball. "You need healing."[break][break]

After recalling Aegislash, Zev turned and started back down the hiking trail toward the Safari Zone's entrance. Before leaving, however, he noticed something sparkling on the ground: a green shard, very similar to one he already possessed.[break][break]

He pocketed it and continued on.

A distortion in the Safari Zone itself was a little odd, but she would venture inside the space rift anyway. Her Tadbulb and Archen keep her company when the ambassador sees the sky darken and lightning strikes in the sky when they enter through the distortion itself. Aggressive Pokemon flank them from both sides as Orko the Tadbulb is covered in a bright light, evolving to a Bellibolt. A Zap Cannon hits the wild Hisuian Samurott while the royal ambassador picks up a Yellow Shard from the ground.[break][break]

Dvalinn slashes at a wild Hisuian Decidueye with Dragon Claw before the trio would make their escape out of the rift. They would make it out without being hurt though the aggressive Pokemon there weren’t very happy about their intrusion.

A distortion in the Safari Zone? He thought he would never seen the likes of this. It seem old as if something was causing this purposefully. The knight didn't really think of looking towards Yuina Higashi? So something was calling out to her?

Cade kept his thoughts to himself while Cinder, his goomy, and ursaring began fighting back the endless waves of pokemon. It had take it's took on them however what he didn't expected was for there to be some serious changes. The flux between time and place transform two pokemon into completely different forms. One of few brought back some painful memories. Memories he wasn't ready to deal with right now. He spotted a yellow shard decided to pick it up before leaving. "We need to go now."

A space-time distortion in the safari zone of all places. Adelaide wondered why it decided to happen here of all place. The ranger could didn't looked back while drive into the madness. She had tangled with twisted pokemon around and ready which her pokemon. Although she keep her Togepi in her arms her decidueye and Kirlia were ready to fight off version pokemon some were including not limited hisuian decidueye.

Any moment now. She knew distortion always caused some weird or interest effects and sure enough they began to happened in a blink of her faith has not only but has gained a new move and the same when for the little egg pokemon. Thanks the stars it's wasn't anything horrible she could be serious worried.

They had dealt with a decent chucky of the crazed around here it was best to retreat for now. Noticing a blue shard Adel picked it up before leaving.

He’d heard of them before, but being within one was a different matter altogether, he stood there right beside him was his Bisharp; it’s twin brethren had fallen in the battle outside of Dewford; but this one stood even as scars and chips existed across his metallic body, like a well worn sword that had not seen a wetstone for a year.

”This’ll take a while, let’s go in deep before the rest join in.” The Safari zone was interesting, strong and unique pokemon existed here, and he needed to train his pokemon within its confines. His golden eyes scanned across the grassy plains, and the strange warbles that existed there, before plunging himself beyond the purple membrane.

The bowels were different, strange; he saw large pokemon, one of them was the same as his Samurott, Hisuian he’d heard smarter men than he call it. Even a couple of weeks away, he could feel the stiffness of his muscles, and the many bruises that were still healing as he moved out of the way of a fast moving Avalugg.

”Iron Defense, prepare for the Reversal.” He said as he looked at his pokemon, who hardened itself at a quick pace before the Avalugg turned, being crashed into with the power of an avalanche.

Before striking back, but the monster didn’t fall. This wasn’t going to be simple, like many a battle…[break]

Yet, time continued to pass, for Kouji…He wasn’t sure how long it had been, staring down at this tattered clothing, poking a finger through his shirt. He looked over his shoulder at this Kingambit, now fully grown and evolved, the pokemon had grown, a stronger pokemon that covered his bug.

He looked over the fire in front of him, the heat it provided before taking a thicker stick and standing up straight. ”Let’s keep looking for the way out.” He said as he waved it in the air for a moment, a breeze brushed through in the same moment causing his long hair to obscure his vision.

Scientific curiosity led Nenet back to the Safari Zone with her Kirlia in tow. The world around them glitches and judders, making the landscape as unsettling as it is dangerous.

The last time she explored one of these anomalies resulted in the evolution of Ralts to Kirlia and the capturing of an Ursaluna. Today she planed to see if exposure to a rift would evolve her Kirlia once more.

It wasn't hard to find a rift opening nearby, its entrance hazy and unstable. With a tip of her chin, Nenet urges the Kirlia with a quiet, "Go on," while she pulled out a camera to record the interaction.

Dancing forwards, the Kirlia pauses at the rift's entrance - and when nothing happens - steps through; there's a palpable jolt of energy and the Kirlia evolves as she steps through. Gardevoir looks behind to her trainer with surprise, and upon stepping back out of the rift, de-evolves.
[break][break]
With a soft 'huh', Nenet sends her pokemon back in. Gardevoir stands there a moment on the other side of the rift, and then the air shifts and the rift twitches and moves. One moment Gardevoir is there, and then she isn't, and then she seems to step from thin air.

Convinced she has enough information for the time being, Nenet beckons her newly evolved Kirlia forwards and murmurs, "Let's go home."

"Don't let it get away Grizzman!" Both trainer and bear brave the storms that the distortion brings with it as they give chase to an archer fleeing from them but still pelting them with arrows. The strange colored Decidueye attacked them the second that they found themsleves in this distortion and now it had to pay. As his Ursaring gave chase Kaz noticed the strange red light eminatting from its body. "Grizzman?"

As the bird fired off a razor leave the bear became engulfed in the light as a headlong rush right through the attack revealed its new feral form. The bear might be bleeding from both its evolution and the attacks but that didn't stop its charge as the world around them slowly turned red as a red orb began to take shape above them. "Uh alright, well, Grizzman let's end this! Take him down!"

The bear roars and the orb turns into the shape of a moon and blasts the archer down into the ground with its light. Not one to waste this chance Kaz whips out a Pokeball and throws it at the Decidueye and watches as it both disappears into its new home and for his newly evolved bear give off a victory roar as he patted its back. "Haha, yeah we really got him didn't we? Boy your fur is...hard...let's get you home and washed up a bit yeah? It almost feels like stone."

As one, the pack moves - and though normally Ettie wouldn't head into the Safari Zone all that much, she is drawn by the presence of the Spacetime Distortion. She doesn't wholly know what she's looking for, here, besides to investigate the strange anomaly. But perhaps it - whatever it is - will make itself known if she looks hard enough?

At the very least, she isn't worry about the danger - there is always strength in numbers, after all. Her strongest packmates stay close at her side as they move, and Adrae and Astus both watch overhead, for any approaching threats.

And if Adrae yoinks a shiny pretty shard from the distortion while she's here, well, who's anyone to judge her for that?
