the last time aaron had seen CIAN MAHER , the guy had been a small fry in the minor gym league. now, he's at least a medium fry, having moved out of his sequestered minor league corner of the gym and into the main area. aaron enters the hall the same way he had last time: underdressed, carrying his pikachu under his arm like a football, and sporting a stupid, smug smile as he makes his grand return to the rustboro gym. his jaw drops as his buzzwole's fist is deflected away by the larger pokemon's attack. maybe he should've gone for a pikachu vs swinub rematch, he thinks, rubbing his chin. he can't yell out an attack, so he just has to rely on his ultra beast's innate desire to be the hottest, coolest guy in the room.
