Eris' voice calls out to him and, rather unceremoniously, Remiel coughs and spits water out of his mouth as he comes to. It takes him a moment to gain his bearings as he recovers. Once he's managed to sit up, however, shielding his eyes from the sun, the royal comes to recognize this beach as part of the AKALA OUTSKIRTS.[break][break]

"That was rather unpleasant..." The prince remarks as he carefully comes to stand on both feet. He pats himself clean of sand. "They didn't have to make drowning feel so bloody realistic..."[break][break]

Stepping over to the young girl next, Remiel offers a hand to help her up. "I've never been in this simulation before. Have you?"[break][break]

Remiel raises a brow at Eris' words, then turns to look at the XATU presiding over them with its wings spread apart. Almost as soon as he locks eyes with it, however, he seems to be immediately transported away into the CALCIFET PALACE GARDENS. But this is not the same oasis he left behind... it is the one he remembered as a child.[break][break]

Trails of white marble snake their way through beautiful arrangements of flowers and flora. Twinkling fountains and classical sculptures act as landmarks throughout, often framed by majestic stone pillars covered in vines. From somewhere within the gardens, the titillating sound of harp music echoes, casting an ethereal presence within the heavenly setting.[break][break]

The familiar scent of moss and mother's roses reminded the CROWN PRINCE of what home used to be like... but still he couldn't help but feel like something was wrong. "Sabine?" He calls out, turning to and fro. "... Eris?"[break][break]

She knows that he's here. She can hear him call. She knows it rude to not answer, but curiosity begs that she stay silent and observe what is to come. Instead, she settles on a middle ground, busies herself with looking at the various plants that grow around. If he finds her, so be it. If not, she'll simply get to see what this memory has to offer.[break][break]

Perhaps, it could serve as an equal trade for if the Xatu decides to show something of her past.

A group of children, all dressed like little kings and queens, skip past Eris Halla like ghosts. Without warning they come and go, their voices echoing with laughter down the porcelain hallways of the CALCIFET PALACE. Before too long, however, another ghostly child appears. This one seems all too familiar.[break][break]

It is a young Remiel Calcifet carrying something between two palms.

"Sabine, look!" He smiles brightly, waiting for another ghostly child to appear from nothing and join him. This one is a younger girl with a bob of curly black hair. She hastily reaches the boy with her wide eyes fixed on his hands.[break][break]

"What do you have there, big brother?"

And, delicately, little Remiel opens his hands to reveal a ROOKIDEE with an injured wing. "Shall we ask Papa if we can keep him?" He brightly suggests. "It can't fly right now, after all. We could heal it and make it our friend!"[break][break]

"Yes!" The little girl excitedly answers, bouncing around with a squeal before pointing down the hallway. "Let's go!"[break][break]

As soon as the ghostly children disappear, the real Remiel Calcifet steps out from behind the pillar he'd been watching them. "I don't remember this..." He remarks, casting an uncertain look at their surroundings. "Is that the point?"[break][break]

The simulation dissolves and the two awaken into the real world shortly thereafter.[break][break]
