Now this was a name she recognized, as Yuina continued to work with her tournament roster in being registered and all signed up. Yuina smiled as she looked at who her next matchup was going to be, and she was delighted that her good friend had signed up for all of this too. Yuina knew Genny well, and knew they were both rangers, but they had never had the opportunity for a good battle, to really see what the other could do.[break]
When it was time to start the match, Yuina came out with Daikenki to find Genny, and Yuina couldn't help it, she was all smiles.[break][break]
"Genny! This is going to be so much fun! Let's really have an awesome match okay," Yuina waved, this was going to be such a great time!

The Vital Tournament! In her own home city, no less! Genny was pressed, excitement rushing through her veins, as she looked at the roster. Who she was fighting. A good number of fights to go... but right now?[break][break]

She reads Yuina Higashi . With a confident smirk on her lips, the redhead comes not with a big monster of a Pokemon, but a green little Sandshrew. One of her best. Gordo.[break][break]

"Yuina!" she calls back, waving towards her brunette friend back. When she shows her new bracelet though, a Dynamax Bracelet freshly gotten. "Let's!"[break][break]

In truth, she would love it if either of them won. But... Genny wanted to win.[break][break]

"Good luck! And don't hold back on me, okay?"

As Genny bid her to not hold back, Yuina had considered giving her the same sentiment, until it came time to start... As they took their match field, Yuina sending Daikenki forward, she was shocked to see the Sandshrew that Genny had take on a giant, energy filled state... She'd never seen anything like it, not outside of the island on route 105...[break][break]
"Well... Not sure what we can do about that... But that doesn't mean we won't try," Yuina returned, sending the Samurott forward. She tapped the orb on her belt, and in an attempt to combat the sheer size and power of the Sandshrew, she hoped that Daikenki's Water Tera would suffice. He shimmered in blue crystal as the Samurott rushed forward, closing what little distance there was now, and with his seamitars bared, he struck with a Razor Shell to begin the match.

Hearing Yuina not at all deterred by the massive Sandshrew has her grin in delight. It was the first time the duo had ever done anything like this! Other had Mega-Evolutions, sure, or Z-Moves, or whatever. But Genny? She was lucky and got her hands on one of these babies.[break][break]

"That's what I like to hear!" With a throw of her hand, the massive Sandshrew roars out with a MAX ROCKFALL, cascading the ring in a rocky onslaught, blasting downwards as the Hisuian Samurott's RAZOR SHELL starts the match off strong![break][break]

Genny knows that Dynamax won't last forever. She has to plan for the eventuality.[break][break]

For now though, she would make sure to keep Yuina on her toes.[break][break]

The sheer size and power of the Sandshrew was incredible... Yuina couldn't be sure how best to match such energy as Daikenki's blades were met with a devastating shower of rocks that struck the battlefield. The Samurott lunged and dove out of the way, trying to avoid the crushing boulders, narrowly missing the onslaught but coming out covered in dust and scrapes...[break][break]
"Come on Daikenki, we can get in there," Yuina remarked, and the Samurott struck his blades against the ground, priming them with a Swords Dance before rushing along the tops of the boulders now and using the vantage point to leap higher into the air for another Razor Shell.

The good news? Genny had Yuina on the backfoot for the first strike, the MAX ROCKFALL had done its job, and barraged as needed, with little trouble on Gordo's part. The move creating the SANDSTORM, something Genny had no concept of. She had never used this before, and was surprised at how effective it was![break][break]

"Go, Gordo! Give them a Sand Attack!" Not realizing of course, that Gordo's attack instead would be MAX QUAKE, the immediate blast upwards intent to send the Samurott off his balance.[break][break]

Genny's grinning towards Yuina. Daikenki was a marvel! And Gordo seemed receptive too, the big beady black eyes happy to make friends for huggies![break][break]

Again the impossible size and power of the Sandshrew proved effective, and down right incredible as Daikenki was tossed back at the quaking rocks that came from the massive Pokemon. They hadn't been able to land a direct hit in spite of its giant size, they just couldn't get close enough to it.[break][break]
"Genny, this is incredible, what is this power," Yuina called in wonder, she had to know, what did her dear friend work towards that she and her partner were able to achieve such heights?[break][break]
Daikenki followed through still with what he could, using the new onslaught of rocks to get a more clear vantage point, and tried once more to get in with his blades and a Sacred Sword.

Gordo roars out, as Yuina calls out in wonder, and Genny responds with her Dynamax Bracelet, holding it up! "It's Dynamax!" a wide-berth, toothy grin takes her lips, as she gestures to it jingling on her arm. The last attack Daikenki made was so close, reaching the Sandshrew and missing a hair by way of the quake. But all Genny can do is smile. This was what battling was all about![break][break]

As the Samurott does his best to get back to his feet to get in the SACRED SWORD, Genny watches on, and throws an arm forward in a pose. "You got this, Gordo!"[break][break]

With the loud squeaky roar, as the DYNAMAX begins to fade, one final usage of the power with a MAX STEELSPIKE, Gordo making sure to hold back, as his giant form begins to shrink. The power was only temporary, after all. Poor armadillo lands on his back.[break][break]

The metrics of the battle set were still in play, and Daikenki was down just one point left as the Sandshrew rocked the field again.[break]
Dynamax? Is that what the Regice at the bottom of the island had undergone? Why it's size and sheer power was enough to rock the very island in its core? It was truly incredible...[break][break]
"You must have worked really hard to get that, I bet you're making a killing in this tournament," Yuina remarked, all smiles for Genny's sheer success, but... It seemed it was only temporary? The Sandshrew shook the field again and then shrank back to its normal size, the field now nearly completely empty by comparison... Did they have a shot now?[break][break]
Daikenki rushed for the Sandshrew with blades poised, trying to make a Razor Shell swipe while he had the chance.

The fast Hisuian Samurott should know better than to expect an easy mark, as the SAND RUSH ability allowed for the shiny green Sandshrew to, at least, attempt to get out of the way thanks to the earlier rockfall's sandstorm, but it could only do so much. This was their first time using it, and Gordo hadn't expected to be tiny again.[break][break]

Genny thought quickly. "Gordo, spin in place! Gyro Ball!"[break][break]

But, to combat the coming RAZOR SHELL, steel shined upon that scaly armadillo, as the green sheen began to come back to collide with the attack with one of his own; GYRO BALL![break][break]

Now was a matter if she made it in time.[break][break]

As Daikenki rushed for the Sandshrew, it was quick to gain its footing and was even quicker to lunge into an attack as it sped towards the Samurott. As Daikenki's Razor Shell caught the spinning Sandshrew and the two were held there in a power clash for just a quick moment, Daikenki powered through the force of the impact and pushed back with a Sacred Sword, knocking the Sandshrew back again.[break][break]
"We're really coming down to the wire Genny, I can't believe what a great match this is," Yuina was elated, this was the most thrilling match she had had thus far, and the crowd was loving it!

There was nothing Genny or Gordo could do. It was immediate. The Gyro Ball could not make its mark, and quickly, the Sandshrew flew backwards, as the sandstorm came to an abrupt end, and with it, that moment right as Gordo was slapped by the RAZOR SHELL, so too came a SACRED SWORD that neither of them could deflect in time. Gordo flies backwards, landing again on his back.[break][break]

Genny's smile widened so much more, and with everything in her heart, she calls out. "One more Sandstorm, Gordo! We're not out of this yet! Let's give our bestie a show!"[break][break]

This was the best. The feeling of battling... this was what she loved. And with the activation of SAND RUSH, Gordo begins to spin into a ROLLOUT![break][break]

Gordo was tired, so tired. Daikenki looked it too.[break][break]

As he races forward, she calls out to Yuina.[break][break]

"Girlygang forever!" She places a hand on her chest, a big smile on her face. Come what may, it was coming to its conclusion.[break][break]

They were down to the wire, the battle was just about up, the conclusion was on the rise... The Sandshrew whipped up another sandstorm and raced across the ground of the battlefield, coming to meet Daikenki in one final strike.[break]
"Girly Gang! Let's go Daikenki," Yuina cheered, bidding and encouraging the water type forward one last time. The Samurott rushed foward, glittering in his blue crystal, bearing his blades once more. The Sandshrew rolled across the ground at an incredible speed and Daikenki lunged to meet the rock, striking down with a Razor Shell to see if he could stop the onslaught on push back!

The final strike forward, the final move, the ROLLOUT! And as Gordo closes the distance towards the RAZOR SHELL, Genny feels her breath hitch.[break][break]
