They had a couple of minutes before the match would start so Tori and Osiris had decided to walk around. They stopped by one of the vending machines so they could grab a drink before the match at least. "I'm starvin'" she said as she cracked open a can of juice. Osiris eyed her longingly as she took a sip. "Uh uh, water for you." she said as she pushed the drink towards him. "You know you have a match coming up."[break][break]

Her partner and first pokémon begrudgingly took the bottle of water from his trainer. "I promise to get you something good for lunch." Tori chuckled as she crushed her juice can once she was finished with it. Tossing it in the recycling she nodded towards him and they headed down towards the arena floor. [break][break]

Glancing at her phone she checked the match details before her eyes would land on her opponent. "Sup," she said as she nodded her head in greeting. Crossing over towards the opposing team she extended her hand in a formal yet polite introduction. "I'm Tori, this is Osiris." she said with a glance towards her Lucario who gruffed an hello towards his opponents. "Best of luck to you both."

Ollie and Tofu, for example, walked away from the carts with prizes. He had a delicious hotdog in his hand, piping hot, that he bit into while Tofu walked side-by-side, slurping up the ice cream shake that the Head Ranger had purchased him.

[break][break] There was a whipcream mustache on his face as they walked onto the battle field. Ollie picked up the empty container and tossed it into the nearby trashcan as Tofu darted forward to the center of the field.

There wasn't much to say after that. Tori just headed back to her spot and once it was time to begin, she nodded at her Lucario. Osiris, like many other matches before this one, lead the charge with speed. EXTREME SPEED. He quickly became a vanishing streak of blue and green as the aura around him enveloped him. He rushed his target mercilessly and aimed to engage in CLOSE COMBAT once he was close enough.[break][break]

Leave and foliage intertwine into a crackle of thorny vines as the Pikachu leaps with the power of a TRAILBLAZE, easily dodging the attack and distancing himself several feet away.

Victoria was generally a quiet person. She was usually blunt when she spoke but it wasn't often that she engaged in 'pleasantries' with another person. So she was taken aback by the sudden conversation start with her opponent. None of her other opponents had done as such when she battled them.[break][break]

"Um..." she began as she shifted awkwardly. Her eyes drifting towards Osiris who kept his focus on the fight. His opponent easily maneuvering out of his attacks. With a gruff in disappointment the jackal pivots and begins to pool and shape the energy gathering in his palms into an AURA SPHERE aimed at his opponent. [break][break]

"Its...been eventful. To say the least." she admitted to her opponent. "But...yes. I'm having fun." her bouts often granted her better insight for future battles as well. After all, the entire reason she was doing this in the first place was so that she and Oz could train and grow stronger.[break][break]

The move hits and Tori nods in approval. It would seem that she and her opponent would continue chatting while their pokémon did all the work in the back. That was fine, she would just have to pay extra close attention to Oz's vitals. The pikachu bounced back responding with it's own ranged attack.[break][break]

This time however, Osiris attempted to use his speed to rush the pikachu and catch them unawares. As he quickly closed the gap between the two he would hope for his CLOSE COMBAT techniques to come in handy.[break][break]

"Mmm, I've fought against CIAN MAHER and kyle lopez so far" she said as she recounted those two particular victories. "Both trainers seemed extremely seasoned so I was kind of nervous." she admitted sheepishly. Was it an act, of course it was. She wasn't exactly nervous to battle rather she always had an intense fear of failure.[break][break]

"But it all worked out in the end. We both enjoyed our battles against them very much." she said as she turned her attention back to her Lucario.[break][break]

[attr="class","textbody"] The CLOSE COMBAT comes too fast for him to fight. It pummels him straight through the chest, knocking the Pikachu to the other side of the arena. It wasn't a real fight, knowing the other's expertise. Kinda like fighting someone like noah faber one on one.

[break][break] Electricity still crackles around the Pikachu's cheeks as he leaps to his feet to attempt a rebuttle with a DISCHARGE that zip-zaps around the field. Lightning flashes, as a light cage attempts to snap back against the Lucario.

[break][break] "Oh wow! You beat Cian and Kyle? That must have been pretty epic." Ollie let out a laugh. "I wish I could've watched it."

"Yeah, I was surprised myself." Tori admitted as she kept her eyes trained on their fight. "I'm sure there are some highlight clips floating around on the web somewhere." she said with the faintest hint of a smirk tugging on the corners of her lips. Meanwhile, on the field the two pokémon were impressively duking it out.[break][break]

Osiris had evened the playing field for now, lady luck seemed to be on his side. With that in mind, wishing to keep the momentum going, Victoria twisted the mega accessory ring on her finger before bringing it to her lips in the signature pose that she always did. Bright light enveloped Osiris before showcasing him going through his mega evolution.[break][break]

With new power and energy surging through him he did his best to avoid the discharge of electric energy and instead go in for point blank blast while in close range. An AURA SPHERE of high concentrating was aimed right into his opponents body with the intention to catch the pikachu off guard.[break][break]

[break][break] Meanwhile, it seemed that the battle was picking up. Ollie's eyes widened at the sight of the other's mega evolution, which prompted him to twist his own Dynamax band. "Us too! Let's show 'em what we got, bud!"

[break][break] Light streamed towards the Pikachu, rapidly multiplying to three times his normal size. He easily towered over the arena and the newly-evolved Lucario, making it easy to take the AURA SPHERE hit. He retaliated with a booming shout and a G-MAX VOLT CRASH that thundered across the arena.

Osiris got the daylights shocked out of him. Literally. He went tumbling in the dirt, twitching and convulsing for a second from his opponents strike. "Get up!" they didn't have time to stay down. After all, she doubted their opponent would give them a second to breath, she wouldn't. Besides, they were here to learn and imitate real battle like scenarios. Sure this was just a lighthearted tournament at the end of the day but Oz knew what this was really about.[break][break]

Bringing himself back up and dusting himself off. With a snarl he rushed his opponent again his speed gaining till he reached the pikachu's large frame. Using it like a springboard he bounced off to launch himself in the air and ready a FLASH CANNON right to his opponent's dome. [break][break]

[break][break] Tofu prepares another G-MAX VOLT CRASH, the sound of lightning and thunder exploding across the arena like a guillotine. However the FLASH CANNON that the Lucario hits, strikes first, causing the kaijuu to roar with pain.

[break][break] It leaks a vulnerability, even as the Pikachu attempts to rise a MAX STARFALL. The rising MISTY TERRAIN causes stars to form in the air, a pink mist leaking through the arena and clouding their surroundings.

Osiris had used up the majority of his energy so he could no longer maintain his mega evolved form. He looked worn out, but the same could be said for their opponent. "One last push buddy!" Tori calls out. After all this was the last attack she feared Osiris could do. "Make it count!" she shouted. [break][break]

With a grunt the Lucario does his best to avoid the falling stars. Meanwhile his trainer bites her nails, clearly on 'the edge of her seat' wracked with anticipation. So Oz decides to do what he does best. Or rather the only thing he could muster. As he blitz's towards his opponent he aims for CLOSE COMBAT. [break][break]

The flurry of blows from him to his opponent would be the last the he could do. They could only pray it would stick. Tori had to admit though, just like all of her other battles, this was extremely fun. Dynamax was such a unique phenomenon but it was obviously powerful. Victoria made a mental note to look into that later.[break][break]

[break][break] In a last ditch effort to fight back, the Pikachu aims a MAX STEELSTRIKE. Grey pillars shoot out from the ground in attempt to steer the Lucario away before he can hit. It is only a matter of time...
