Her ALTARIA squawked, initiating battle with a COTTON GUARD defense as her opponent charged at her on all fours. She hoped to minimize the damage and win this round's point through careful consideration.

Though that wouldn't stop her from attacking with a charged MOONBLAST on the offensive.

Lucan ran face first into the cotton guard and got staticky spores in his eyes and mouth, derailing his charge as he spat and clawed at his now-fuzzy teeth.

Onyx fought down the urge to roll his eyes as this set his Pokemon up for perfectly getting nailed by a moonblast. The attack left him smouldering, front carapace blackened, and the bug on his back.

Touching the Mega-Stone in his pocket, Onyx activated their gimmick; the wings bursting out of Lucan’s upper back lifted him into the air, and he once more charged at the Altaria, this time flying, hoping to superpower her down into the ground.

Cadbury squawked in shock, taking a hit before charging a DRAGON BREATH in retaliation to her opponent, attempting to fly out of the way.

Unfortunately, the hit landed, causing a loss of a point.

Using the agility given to him by his mega-evolution, Lucan ducked and wove between the plumes of dragonfire. He pile-drove the Altaria down, dirtying her beautiful wings, which he then tried to slice to shreds with x-scissor.

The dragon shrieked as the X-SCISSOR came for her wings, feathers flying from the damage.

With an angry charge, she flew high and went down with an angry SKY ATTACK.

They lift off once more as the Altaria shoots straight up in the sky, Lucan clinging to her for dear life. His Mega-energy spits and fades, the wings dropping from his back as he sheds them; they flutter like maple seeds, spinning round and around.

Wind whistling around him, he tries to clamber up the bird’s body to guillotine at her head or neck before they hit the ground, where he is dislodged-- and half-buried in a crater, smoke rising off his bruised body.
