It didn't matter so much to Nabi whether she won or loss now. Regardless of the outcome, she gained valuable experience as a trainer and built a stronger relationship with her newly obtained swampert.[break][break]

Nabi bit the bottom of her lip the slightest. Who was she kidding? She wanted to win.[break][break]

She locked eyes with her opponent, green on blue. "Tall and handsome," Nabi chimed. "You're just my type," she lied with a small grin. "Good luck."[break][break]

Her body swiveled round to make its way back to the other end of the field, one hand raised with fingers wiggling toward Noel Parker. Her swampert was already in place and nudged against Nabi's shoulder with its head as she passed him. "Do your best to crush him, Bruno, kay?" she whispered to the giant amphibian. Bruno made a resounding noise in agreement.

Type? Noel was quite confused at the comment, he didn't have one like a Pokemon so surely she wasn't talking about him. And yet, his Shaymin was not tall whatsoever, handsome on the other hand... Well he guessed you could say that? Chalking it up to a joke, he simply smiled back at the young trainer, meeting her gaze back with one of his own. Locking eyes with the foe he would encounter today.[break][break]

"Heh, good luck to you as well. Prepare yourself because I don't like going easy."[break][break]

Tapping the Tera orb on his hip, his Shaymin would completely change into its Grass Tera, already out on the field and ready to battle. It stood idly by with the same happy face it usually had. Awaiting its opponent to make the first move.

Bruno eyed his fearsome opponent down. Oh, the horror![break][break]

Pfft. What could a little shaymin possibly do to a big brute like himself. The swampert displayed his overconfidence with a show of chest-drumming. Truthfully, Nabi was worried. Shaymin was indeed the tiniest (and most adorable) thing she'd ever fought in a battle, but with the reveal of a tera orb, that put them in an unfavorable position. Nabi didn't have any fancy gizmos to help Bruno out here. It was all reliant on his raw power.[break][break]

It was best for them to keep some distance.[break][break]

"Ok, Bruno, drown that thing in a MUDDY WATER!" Nabi ordered. "Please don't actually drown, little guy," she thought, a wee bit guilty.[break][break]

With a slap of his hands and a bellowing roar, Bruno called forth a dirty puddle of water at his feet. It increased in volume until it was a large wave riding toward the shaymin.[break][break]

And with that the match had begun. Already the Swampert had started with their first attack. A rush of dirty water swept across the arena and completely washed away Noel's Shaymin. It is sent careening against its will and roughly bumps up against the ground while trying to swim away. Soon the tide calms down and it's able to plant its feet onto the floor once more, although completely covered in filth now.[break][break]

"A feisty one aren't you? My Shaymin's going to have to need a wash after this battle for sure... But first we gotta win this match!"[break][break]

Shaking away whatever dirt it could from its fur, the small hedgehog roars to signal its turn to make an attack. Now kept away from the Swampert, range was its most viable option and it starts off with a few Energy Balls aimed directly against the giant water-type. If they could break through it would be a great start for the two of them.

Luck was not on Nabi's side. Even if Bruno's MUDDY WATER had made its mark, one hit from any of those oncoming ENERGY BALLS could be the end for Bruno. In this instance, Bruno's size did not help.[break][break]

The swampert moved on all fours to avoid the onslaught of ENERGY BALLS, but the tiny shaymin's power was too overwhelming. At his leg, he felt one make contact and explode with great power. Bruno cried out, highly affected by the attack.[break][break]

Nabi had to stay cool. "Shake it off, Bruno," she tried to say in encouragement. "Keep your distance, and use ROCK SLIDE!"[break][break]

His leg felt like it was burning. Regardless, the heavy-hitter was determined to not lose to a munchkin. Around him, several rocks appeared and floated like a barrier, except that it was not for protection. Like his opponent, he too attempted an attack in numbers. The ROCK SLIDE hurled its way toward the shaymin, albeit a little sloppy in delivery.[break][break]

While they managed to get the first hit in, their foe would more than likely not make it so easy the next time they attempted such a move. Getting back at them with their retaliation, sturdy rocks that amassed not only in size but quantity were on their way, and any of them would surely cause some damage. Having to go on the defensive now, the Shaymin braces itself for impact. It takes each and every projectile head on, using its furry back to soften the blows.[break][break]

"If that's how you want to play then sure! Shaymin hit them with a Seed Flare!"[break][break]

Once the barrage of rocks had ceased, the hedgehog gives a determined and serious look against the Swampert on the other side. Shaking its body to remove any form of dirt its body might have gotten from the attack, it would then prepare for another move. Waves of green whip-like projectiles would be shot out from its body, all aiming to land against the water and ground type.

Nabi punched her own thigh with a closed fist. Dammit! How could this shaymin be so utterly cute AND ferocious!?[break][break]

"PROTECT!"[break][break]

Bruno held out his large hands to guard himself from the SEED FLARE, and it worked... for awhile. But with each consecutive hit from the SEED FLARE, cracks formed in Bruno's PROTECT. He simply wasn't strong enough.[break][break]

The barrier broke, and with nothing to defend him, his body received a heavy slap from the SEED FLARE.[break][break]

If they wanted to win, they had to give it their all now.[break][break]

In a last ditch effort, the swampert called forth what energy he had left to fire a HYDRO PUMP towards the shaymin. He was weakened, barely standing--but he wasn't done just yet.[break][break]

It only took just a bit more until the Swampert was completely spent, with the advantage to their side, Noel and his Shaymin would press on with their attack. After celebrating their small victory with the success of their move going through the water-type's guard, they would see the blast of water coming straight for their way now. It seemed like their opponent was keen on turning the tide to their favor.[break][break]

"Hmph, that won't work on us. Shaymin, use everything you've got in this next attack!"[break][break]

Taking up a stance, the hedgehog would stay in place and watch as the torrent came its way. Gathering up power from the sun, however much it could considering the cloudy weather, it would hone in on its natural power and finally let loose a Solar Beam. The Shaymin's wrath would clash up against the Swampert's desperation move, meeting it head on in a stalemate. The mix of colors weaved back and forth, no telling whatsoever who the victor was just yet.
