He nearly spits out the water he's drinking when he feels the hand slap against his back and looks up. Its his boss. Kinda? He was still a Ranger on paper so he still reported to Ollie but like. When was the last time he actually did Ranger work?

That was probably a bad thing to reflect on uh...

"We kinda just started so not a lot of wins. But plenty of battles right Domon?" Kaz slaps the back of the Urshifu making it nearly spit out the water it was drinking as it glared at its Trainer and just nodded along while giving a neutral glance at the Head Ranger and a nod to the Pikachu. "What about you boss? You racking up wins?"

[break][break] He grins cheekily at the other, as if telling a joke, when the announcement sounds for the battle to begin. The Head Ranger walks to the opposite side of the arena, just as Tofu leaps off his shoulder towards the center.

The sting of static gets to the Urshifu and sends shivers down the spine. Despite his tingling bones he still fights through the pain and meets the sparks with a wicked blow. This up close and personal it was bound to really leave its mark on the little mouse either internally or externally.

"Yo Domon don't go too hard! We're here to have fun!" The words would probably fall on empty ears though, Kaz knew better than anyone his partner really did get into the thrill of battle. One hundred and thirty percent was always given and he wouldn't have it any other way.

[break][break] However, in the meantime, the Head Ranger is content to put work aside to focus on the fight at hand. Sparks fly as a punch soars through the air, crushing his Pikachu beneath the weight of it. Tofu growls, teeth sinking into that large fist, as he releases another DISCHARGE. This time at close range.

Sometimes Kaz can only be both amazed and terrified of his partner's strength. He knew the muscles underneath the bear weren't just for show and they share a bond through working out and training with one another but a Pokemon has strength that a human would never have. Some moments it was awe inspiring and sometimes it was "Scary. But let's show them why you're a king partner!"

The Electro Ball flies across the sand and the bear puts his hands together to fire off an Aura Sphere to match it. Range for range, he was grateful for his Trainer pushing him to break one of his limits and let him learn this move. In the battles to come rushing in close to the enemy may not be the best move so he needed some way to put distance between him and them.

As the two moves just miss each other and slide against one another the Urshifu braces himself as he feels jolts dance through his body and bring him down to one knee.

[break][break] Ironic, considering that Ollie had been once a king too, in a life that he couldn't remember. Energy glowed viciously bright as it spins around the Pikachu, empowering him with new strength as he triples in size.

[break][break] ELECTRO BALL and AURA SPHERE collide in a show of light, smattering together and causing smoke to populate where there is none. When the clouds clear, Tofu prepares another. This time DISCHARGE explodes from him, aimed straight at the muscular bear's chest.

The attacks continue as the Pikachu starts to spark to life. The Urshifu sees it and his mind starts to kick in as he expects what's coming next. Sure enough a surge of bolts shoot out toward him and the bear braces itself to take the attack. Or so it seems as for a second his focused mind lets him detect the bolts as they come and he weaves between them as a few graze his fur. As it moves about one might see the grin across its face as it flashes a gaze towards the Pikachu.

While not of royal blood it was still chosen to be a king like Ollie was in a past life. Chosen due to his skill in battle that made him one of the toughest of his kind in the land and he intended to prove it in this tournament one way or another.

[attr="class","textbody"] Usually strength was the competition of speed, but it wasn't always. In this case, it certainly wasn't — Ollie was surprised at the sight of the swiftness that the Urshifu bobs and weaves to avoid the lightning bolts.

[break][break] "Woah! Your pokemon's pretty fast!"

[break][break] Ollie cups his hands over his mouth to try to get his partner's attention. "Hey! Tofu! Let's up the anty!"

[break][break] Raising his arm into the air, the Head Ranger's band glowed with power. DYNAMAX ENERGY swirled around the Pikachu in a tornado of light as it multiplied in size. It's behemoth form took up the majority of the arena as he roared to life, light swirling around him as he released a MAX GEYSER.

[break][break] Torrents of water exploded across the platform, aimed to knock the Urshifu off it's feet if it wandered too close.

Dynamax. Something he remembers in a dream and has only heard the odd rumor when he gets close to the offices around Ever Grande. Seeing it in action before his very eyes is something else. Fighting a giant is a pretty amazing thing to experience. "You know the saying! Bigger they are the harder they fall! Don't let up Domon!"

With the torrents of water raining down on him the Urshifu knew that he wasn't going to get in any closer despite the giant pikachu's new large size. Instead it was going to have to aim this next attack very carefully and jumped over more and more torrents as he clasped his hands together. "Uuuuuurshifuuuuu!" THe bear roared as he launched a single aura sphere right at the Pikachu's face as he surfed on top of one of the geysers to keep his balance on something.

His target? One of the eyes of the Pikachu to blind it and knock it out of commission.

[attr="class","textbody"] The AURA SPHERE crashes into Tofu's face like a home run and the battle meets it's end. With a booming cry, the Pikachu rolls backwards as it faints and returns to it's normal size. Ollie leaps forward onto the battle field, sneakers sloshing against the puddles, as he catches Tofu.

[break][break] "You did good buddy," he murmurs, before returning the fainted creature to his pokeball. Afterwards, he walks over to Kazimir Wynter, flashing the other man a grin.

[break][break] "Guess we never really stood a chance." The Head Ranger out for a commemorative handshake. "So... now that's over, you wanna go grab some burgers with me? I dunno about you, but I'm starving."

As the Pikachu falls Kaz runs through the puddles to catch his Urshifu from falling backwards and keep him on his own two feet. "Looks like we won bud!" The two of them don't even meet eyes with one another as they raise up their fists to bump them together. From that Kaz returns the grin with his own as he accepts the handshake from Ollie and gives the man a hell of a shake as he grips on tightly.

"Honestly man? You two put up a decent fight. Little Tofu's got spirit. But maybe a few burgers in us will make it all feel better. Battles really work up an appetite." He responded with a wink and a thumbs up.
