"Kingsman! Good to see you, man!" He raised a hand cheerfully as he approached the other young man, brushing past a number of bystanders before gesturing with his thumb elsewhere. "Ya got the message sent, didn't ya? There's a field nearby we can use."

Seemed like they were one another's next match. Doug had clearly ran off the ER as soon as his shift was over— he was still in his scrubs. He didn't seem to mind the rush though, grinning exuberantly.

"Have ya been keeping in shape?" He asked the other before holding up his pokeball, smiling.

Tournaments in Hoenn could be pretty good for that, what with the ridiculous number of matches they often involved. Lucky for them that they didn't need to worry about elimination.

Kama stepped forward, the Scyther stretching out as Doug marched for his place in the arena, before turning to face their opponents.

"Ready?" Doug called out from the other side, his Scyther lowering her stance as she prepared. Once the go was given... "Give it yer all, Kama!"

With a nod, the Scyther launched forth, arms flashing as she narrowed the distance between herself and her opponents with her arm cocked back.

Kama's head rocked back from the counter, knees buckling briefly before she stopped herself short of losing consciousness.

Shaking her head sharply, the bug swallowed down a grunt before leaping away from the Riolu, taking a step back before lunging forward once again, leaping over the puppy as she neared before striking towards him from above.

While the COUNTER did what it was meant to it was still a rough. Ra is quick to bring his guard back up, a bit worried on how fast the Scyther was in comparison to him. When she dashes forward Riolu is unsure of where she would go, unable to read aura and movement just yet but thankfully his trainer came into things. [break][break]

Rather than thinking he listens for Razz's whistle on what to do, as he would use the QUICK ATTACK to try and avoid her first hit. Blades nipping his arms before the pup rolled and faced the bug before he would throw a VACUUM WAVE to try and strike. The air from the vacuum to hopefully put some distance once more.

Having managed to even the scales, Kama wasn't looking to lose get thrown on the backfoot once again just yet, throwing herself into a dodge roll to evade the Riolu's vacuum waves.

Her scythes seemed to vibrate in response as she suddenly jabbed at the very air before here, launching walls of wind towards her opponent with her own vacuum waves.

Air clashes with each other seeming to create its own little tornado between the two pokemon. The look on his face pretty clear that he wasn't sure how to adapt to someone who used his own attacks against him. Thankfully that wasn't something he really had to think of on his own as his trainer gave a whistle to follow. [break][break]

Getting sent hurtling back by the Riolu's force palm, Kama slammed her scythes onto the soil to grind herself to a stop, a glowing red aura surging around her as the Z-crystal activated.

Tearing her arms off the ground, she swept them across the air in elegant arcs as she lunged for the Riolu once again, snapping the blades inwards in order to turn her arms into clubs as she swung for the Riolu with renewed, if temporary vigour.

Even with his aura sensing abilities not on par of that of his evolved form Ra could sense he was in trouble. The red aura very noticeable as the ZMove was activated and Ra tried to think quick on his feet. Literally in this case as he would be using QUICK ATTACK to try and keep up with the scissor pokemon, there were some cuts that hurt but at least it felt like he could keep going. [break][break]

With the battle brought back to a more level plane, Kama engaged the fast little Riolu in an exchange of blows.

What a talented brat. She would've (admitted to) been impressed if she wasn't so frustrated. Whether at him or at herself, she would only be able to figure out once she had time for self-reflection.

As things were, she only had enough focus to keep herself afloat. It was time to put an end to things.

And so, she hyper focused as much as she could, eyes narrowing to slits— before attempting at stepping into her opponent's blow, trying to duck her head out of the oncomming strike while swinging at the same time.

The young pup collapses on his butt as the other goes down. Exhaustion hitting him like a ton of bricks with having fight after fight. Though he does seem to get a bit more energetic when offered an lemonade to drink.[break][break]
