[break][break] The Head Ranger handed his partner a churro as they walked away from the food stand and towards the arena. The Vital City Tournament was surprisingly fun; he was beginning to see why people like Michael Navidson or lam logan wanted to pin their whole lives to the battlefield. Though it wasn't really ever something he considered himself doing in the longrun, it did bring him nostalgia to fight in these battles because it reminded him of what it had been like when he was a kid, back in Kanto, competing in the trainer circuits.

[break][break] He knew Tofu enjoyed the fights too, for even more than the food that they were able to get after the battles. His Pikachu had always been sort of competitive, and showing off his skills in a match like this was perfect.

[break][break] Emerald green eyes widened in surprise when he spotted a familiar figure just as they approached their field. "Woah! Look Tofu, it's Noah!"

[break][break] He made a running leap off the last steps, offering to clasp the other in a friendly greeting. He grinned.

[break][break] "Heya! I didn't know you were participating today." Though, it made sense considering how many gym leaders Ollie had ought already. By his side, Tofu gave a greeting too before sinking his teeth into his sweet treat.

the earth quakes twofold. steel spears clashs with earthen bulwarks though several spikes manage to penetrade through.[break][break]

[break][break] "Yuck!" The Head Ranger winces as he lifts his foot in the air. Large globs of purple leaked from the bottom of his sneakers, just as he hears noah faber. He lets out a laugh. "Are you sorry?" he shouts back. "You don't seem like it!"

[break][break] But it's all in good humor. Ollie doesn't actually mind. In fact, it's even more thrilling in a way, to be behind these two giant behemoths.

[break][break] "Clean the field, Tofu! Give it a clean sweep!"

[break][break] ] Following the command, Pikachu bellows a thunderous Pika pi! Torrents of azure erupt from the ground's crevices, thrusting forward with MAX GEYSER.

A shower of neon green and yellow blast out towards the Pikachu. Each of those orbs burst like grenades, striking painfully against the electric-type.

[break][break] A MAX STEELSPIKE makes the ground shake, metal pillars shooting out from cracks in the ground. It blazes down the path in a line towards the engorged Toxicroak, aiming both to injure his opponent and protect him at the same time.
