there is a note accompanying the wayward Pokéball; which had only arrived at the Petalburg Museum several weeks after the holiday season had ended. The note is postdated to December 27, 2023:

‘Hello Miss Yuina! I don’t know if you’d find this one interesting, however fact of the matter is that they hobble around without arms… how do they even keep their balance without tipping over?!

Hopefully I was able to find the correct address and send it to you in time, because well, I remember you liked collecting Pokémon that are more… how do I put this, wild? savage? in nature.

Plus apparently this was a fossil from the Galar region, so hopefully it can help you out with your work!’
