The world bled together into vibrant shades of blue and green as they hurtled towards Shalin's home. The speed was a tremendous force to contend with, but the sensation of the adrenaline rushing through Eddie's veins was unlike anything he'd felt in years. A little of the fear was still there, sure, but it had quickly given away to pure exhilaration. [break][break]

Though a little trepidation began to creep back in as the icy fox beneath him began to change course, Eddie found himself more thrilled than anything to think of where this might lead. Would they bound off into the woods beyond, dodging trees and Pokemon with a dancer's grace? Would they sail through the air like a bird in flight as they leapt down to the forest floor below? There was a world of possibilities laid before him, but Eddie couldn't help but feel a little disappointed even as his stomach flipped when the Ninetales lurched to a skidding, drifting stop. His pulse thundered like a distant storm in his ears long after Shalin sidled up next to him on the Kantonian Ninetales. Eddie nearly suggested another trip around the lake until Shalin expressed her exhaustion with the day's events, [break][break]

“I'll bet!” he replied, grinning like an idiot. [break][break]

He climbed down from the saddle with relative ease, but standing on his own two feet again made the legs beneath him tremble unsteadily, [break][break]

“This was a lotta fun! Can't wait to pester ya again for more Pokemon riding lessons!” [break][break]

Eddie was still giddy even as the two parted ways and he made his way out of the verdant Petalburg Woods. Shalin was an interesting character, that much was certain, but her passion for Pokemon couldn't be denied. He began to idly consider what sort of adventures they might find themselves in when next their paths crossed.[break][break]
