Sheriff Navy is behind her. Genny swings around, her head turned to the side, one hazel eye staring with intensity. This is the path they walk. The path they've walked this whole time. This? The battlefield where everyone suffers pain and strife?[break][break]

When she turns to the battlefield, him pointing to a Charizard, burning parts of it down, she feels herself grow colder. The humans and Pokemon, were ash.[break][break]

Was this her dream?[break][break]

Her lip quivers, and she reaches further. Only to watch the sword unsheathe itself. The howl that came from it, loud and proud. The Zacian beneath, asleep... and the sword in hand, Genny looks it over.[break][break]

Her eyes looked so much different to the way they shined back then.[break][break]

"When I was small... I wanted to be like my Mom and Dad," she starts, staring at the reflection in the blade. "I thought they were so cool, protecting the world from devastation. Keeping people safe. Saving Pokemon, saving people. I've always idolized them like heroes. Like those in this region I look up to." she laments, her heart attempting to reinforce itself with the pain before her.[break][break]

She holds it out to Zacian. A smile on her lips.[break][break]

"Sheriff," she gives Navy a big wide smile, reminiscent of the woman she was before. There was such a woman once. "It's hard work. But we can do it. Can't we?" A steely resolve to reinforce the heart. All while Titan nearby looks on with a smile, and Gram takes their spot in Genny's hand instead.

From sleeping stone comes a hero, towering over the two humans. Its eyes are a mirror of Navy’s, the same steely expression cast over both. They listen in silence to the maiden’s words. Though one is a simulation and the other only valorous in a forgotten past, both are bound by their understanding. Each nods, oblivious to the other.[break][break]
“The warrior’s road is hard.” Turning, he cracks his knuckles. Metal soars across the battlefield, gathering along a rusted sword. It soon becomes a full blade, gripped in the dog’s maw. All three stand united in purpose. If they are to survive what is to come, they must fight. Navy and Genny must grow stronger. Heroes must return, be they hero Pokemon or the sleeping memories of Galarian heroes.[break][break]
“But someone’s gotta walk. We see the ugly truth of the world so other people don’t gotta. That’s how I see this job.”[break][break]
Shuwen, Navy’s Urshifu, joins them. The fighting master looks up. One of his kin rushes towards them, its every step leaving a crater in its wake. Between the heroes and Eternatus is a road fraught with peril. Enemies, big and small, are coming for them now.[break][break]
Zacian rises high into the air. Its glorious behemoth blade carves apart the taller Urshifu like it is nothing more than a cake. Their foe shrinks and does, exposing ordinary but poisoned Pokemon at its feet. Those are for them. Navy strikes out, a sygna suit enhanced fire punch sending a Pokemon sprawling into Shuwen’s surging strikes.[break][break]
“So come on, Genny! Let’s use this battlefield for all it’s worth! Let’s get strong together.”

Someone had to grow stronger. If they didn't, who would? There were many people in this world, but not many could face it and work through the pain. To still walk even though they saw the worst, to grow strong but not grow cold... there was so much ugliness in the world.[break][break]

But. With Navy here, with the Sheriff here, she didn't feel alone. Even through Galar, even through their trail of tears, there is always hope.[break][break]

Grasping Gram, she smiles like she used to. And following this time behind Navy, to slice outwards in a SACRED SWORD to cover his six, and to protect him, and everyone in Galar, to protect this region, she responds in kind. She will be the shield that keeps Hoenn safe. From Rocket? From the threats beyond. She will do whatever it takes.[break][break]

"You're right, Sheriff! If this is the road we walk, it's our job to to pave a way forward. Let's evolve beyond what we are, like our Pokemon!"[break][break]

They walk the path. And with the Zacian throwing the blade down like a gauntlet, Genny for just a moment, looks like the hero she always wanted to be.

The simulation states that the Pokemon is a Koraidon: a muscular, ferocious dragon able to break the earth with its fists. No other data exists pertaining to this Winged King. Curiously, it seems paired with you.[break][break]

A roar rattles down the tunnel. Another Koraidon stomps toward you in apex form, its fierce plume and twisted antennae flicking about like whips.[break][break]

“Damn good answer.” He says before taking Galar for all it’s worth. They charge forward, they move, they fight. [break][break]
And, eventually, the simulation ends. Heroes old and new raise their swords in triumph, sending them off. Eternatus has not been slain, but hope has been rekindled. Zacian charges off to do battle with its old foe, leaving them to fade like leaves in the wind.[break][break]
When they emerge in a cave of brilliant tera crystals, they find themselves caught between two towering behemoths. Koraidon battles Koraidon. Already, this fight is played out. There’s nothing to be done, and Navy knows the creature before him can fall.[break][break]
So, he takes a step back, urging their own Koraidon forward. It steps up, looking expectantly to Genny.[break][break]
“Stage three: use this guy to beat that guy. Simple, right? Show me what you’ve got. You wanna evolve? Well, come on, then. Time to get some experience under your belt.”

And there it was. The simulation is over. And Genny could feel herself relax finally. The battlefield and hell of Galar over, she falls onto her butt, relief finally pushed through her. A smile plastered firmly on her lips as she laughs. The sun shines again.[break][break]

Letting Gram and Titan back in their own respective balls, and finally getting a chance to relax, Genny sits criss-crossed, as she sees a cave of brilliant tera crystals. Looking up, over everything.[break][break]

"A cave," she starts, a brow risen, interested, until the the behemoths show themselves. A red dragon beast, with a plumage like a majestic bird. And though she's forced to get back up, she gets back onto her own two feet, seeing the other red dragon, with a form much more twisted and an antennae that flicks about. With Navy explaining the way this works, she turns to face him.[break][break]

If she wants to evolve, she has to show what she's got. With a grin, she nods to the Sheriff.[break][break]

"I'll do it then."[break][break]

On her wrist, she pulls something new. This was the second time she was going to ever use it, and in a bracelet, a stone sits at the ready. Another Pokeball comes out, blasting out the blue Gardevoir, and she engages it. "Venus!" The orbs surrounds her, the Gardevoir exploding out with a brilliant black dress, as Genny stares on from behind her.[break][break]

"But I can't do it alone, Sheriff."[break][break]

She extends a hand towards Navy. They fought together this long, and while she can stand alone, she stands stronger together.

- Ah. I love these two. So cute. As Genny falls over from the work, she returns Gram and Titan.[break]
- As soon as she gets the chance to, sees Koraidon turf war, and hears Navy's explanations. She accepts the challenge to evolve.[break]
- Releasing Venus and Mega-Evolving, she reaches back to Navy, holding a hand out. She can't evolve alone. She's only strong by those who helped her build.

“We never fight alone.” He takes her hand and releases his own trump card. Roland, a chrome Iron Valiant, stands beside Venus. Memories of a fallen Gallade flood the iron warrior’s mind, remembering how timid the sight of a mega evolved Gardevoir once made him. There is no place for tenderness or juvenile shyness on the battlefield.[break][break]
Their great winged king dons the fighting master’s crown. Tera energy gathers around him, coalescing into a coiled fist atop his great feathered plumage. That will be his downfall. With his free hand, Navy takes out his own tera orb. Energy gathers, a rainbow of color circling the orb. This is a trick he seldom gets to play.[break][break]
Roland springs into action, dozens of worlds reflected in his eyes. He flies forward, expecting Venus to have his back. Koraidon meets Koraidon, both of the kings set on a collision course with one another. Roland’s tera blast attacks the dragon’s back, acting out the ancient feud between dragon and warrior.[break][break]
“Let’s kick this guy’s ass and get outta here.”

When he takes her hand, Genny knows there is no more fear. When the chrome Iron Valiant appears, the memories of the vision of Galar, of Circhester, come back. There's no more hesitation. There is fear, filling the soul, but not overwhelming it. There is trepidation, but bravery to help guide its way.[break][break]

"Right!"[break][break]

With Venus, the curtsy is given in a greeting, as the Koraidon come to a clash. The redhead holds her hand forward, and orders out. "Assist th-" she stops, and turns to Navy. Her smile fades a moment... and then comes back brighter, as Roland comes in with the TERA BLAST to the Koraidon's back.[break][break]

"Put it to sleep and devour!" She was fully ready to take the secondary role, the supporting cast, but Genny wasn't going to be satisfied with that. This is a learning experience. Venus starts with a HYPNOSIS, intent to follow up quickly with a DREAM EATER.

Roland is no stranger to dancing. Swordplay, in the robot’s estimation, has vast overlap. When a partner takes the lead, he knows how to step back. Venus looks beautiful taking center stage, and who is he to stop a beautiful woman from taking the lead? A Gardevoir in the throes of its mega evolution is a frightening thing, its heart spilling out of its chest and bleeding raw power everywhere. Better to stay out of its way, energize the field.[break][break]
Koraidon’s eyes droop, helped along by the blast from the crystals. Drooping turns to slumber, its head slumping forward. Roland and Navy both wonder what the simulated king dreams about. Koraidon falls, the simulated king would slumber. And beyond the dream, the simulation would suffer the effects Venus gave. In essence, Genny finds it cruel. Such a wonderful creature, who chose to fight. It may be a simulation, but when Genny's hand rests upon her chest, she can feel its pain.[break][break]

The Sheriff's words reach her, and she nods. "It could've. But we were able to get through it," her resolve is unbroken as she speaks the truth before her. The path ahead, one of pain and sorrow.[break][break]

"Thank you, Sheriff. For training with me," she takes a step to Navy and stops mid-step. The tension mounts in her neck, and her cheeks heat up just a little. It almost feels embarrassing. "Permission to hug?" she asks sweetly, shifting in place a spell.
