Another of the many recommendations that could give her in order to keep working on anything and everything that she could, Yuina made a trip out to Lilycove city at his behest. Of the handful of things that she was able to work on with her Pokemon, understanding the basics of Terastalization, Mega Evolution and what not, some of the many things that Rocket could use against her, one that she wasn't familiar with was the idea of a 'sygna suit'.[break][break]
Navy didn't give her too many details, figuring it would be best to hear it all from one person, but what he did say is that Yuina and Daikenki were a good fit for the idea of a Sygna Suit, if she so chose to pursue that after meeting with a .[break]
So Yuina made sure to have Daikenki with her, making the journey into the very heart of Lilycove City, to an Opera House, or a theatre of some kind.[break][break]
Making her way into the doors and through the halls, Yuina probably should have asked Navy where exactly she could find this Melody when she did in fact get to the theatre...

A song could be heard playing from the opera house. It was closed to the public from today but there were still some "Staff" who were patrolling the perimeter of the building. [break][break]

In reality it was a bunch of pokemon running around, various different ones of all shapes and sizes. They spotted the girl and ran away clamoring after one another, leaving the door open for the girl to go inside. Once inside they'd lead her over into the main opera hall where Melody had been practicing her singing alongside primarina in a duet together. [break][break]

Her sygnasuit was active, linking the two together in perfect harmony with one another as Melody was practicing using SPARKLING ARIA to create bubbles and allow them to float. She was completely absorbed into the performance and didn't notice she had a guest just yet until Primarina tapped Melody on her shoulder and the bubbles popped as Primarina giggled. [break][break]

"Oh! Sorry didn't see you there!" as the pokemon rushed towards Melody and she lowered herself to greet them.

Stepping into the theatre, where it was otherwise empty save for a handful of Pokemon that were running around, Yuina followed the small gaggle through a set of doors before she found an open stage, the sound of music lofting through the air.[break][break]
A water Pokemon and a woman were singing together, bubbles floated all over the stage, surrounding the two of them. It was really beautiful, Yuina had never seen the kind of Pokemon before and certainly hadn't seen anything like the performance as the two worked in perfect harmony with each other.[break][break]
Yuina remained there for only a moment more, off to the side, she didn't want to interrupt... but the water Pokemon noticed her first and tapped on the woman beside her on the stage. The bubbles popped, but even that was beautiful as the water vapors sparkled in the air, catching the theatre lights as it drifted around them.[break][break]
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't meant to interrupt...," Yuina apologized, she perhaps shouldn't have just been standing there... Should she have knocked? Or asked someone for assistance? Was there a lobby waiting area?[break][break]
"I'm really sorry, uhm... I'm looking for someone named Melody? Navy said I could find her here," Yuina wondered, though this may be who she was looking for?

She smiles at the girl as it was obvious she was nervous, especially when she mentions Navy. [break][break]

"That's alright sweetie! It's ok. THEY should've warned me you were coming." she says staring down the baby Pokémon who scurried off giggling at the mischief they had caused. She shifts her view back towards the young girl, Navy sent her? He wondered what for, he's been busier lately so she was surprised he didn't just text or call. [break][break]

Didn't matter! She sat down on the stage and looked to her "So what did he send ya here for?" she asks her as Melody was suddenly very intrigued by the entire sitution.

Standing just off to the side at the edge of the stage, Yuina had the woman's full attention now, and at least she wasn't perturbed at having her practice/performance disrupted. Instead, she was kind, pleasant, if not a bit curt at the gaggle of smaller Pokemon that scurried off without another care in the world.[break][break]
"Oh, uh, I guess he maybe didn't reach you ahead of time..." Yuina returned, a bit sheepish, she knew Navy was busy, but, she didn't exactly know one hundred percent herself what she was doing here? He really only gave her enough information on the surface to know that she was here to ask for help with... A sygna suit?[break][break]
"Uhm, my name is Yuina, I'm a Ranger, I've been working with Navy here and there for some combat training... He said that if I wanted to work closer with my Samurott, that I could come see you about what a 'sygna suit' is?"

She adjusts the ruffles in her suit. "Ohhhh I see!" she said as luckily enough, she already had hers on already. She waves Yuina to come up onto the stage, as the girl approaches Melody's Primarina and herself move in sync with one another as she waves around her hands. "Sygna suits are still a mystery to a lot of people but there's one undeniable truth of them, they help you sync your emotions with your pokemon and gain deeper bond together." [break][break]

She says as she taps on her sync stone in her microphone and the suit activates "Thanks to the deeper bond though you get a HUGE boost in power and other cool things!" she says as Melody holds up her hand and sings a small note as a small bubble appears in the palm of her hand that the two bounce off of one another back and forth. [break][break]

"So samurott huh? You wield a sword or somethin?"

Stepping up onto the stage as she was welcomed, Yuina watched the two move together, a harmony without words. She'd heard of sygna suits here and there, some of the more high ranking league members that she had come into contact with had said so, were probably even donning theirs at one point or another. But she still didn't quite... Get it?[break]
It didn't sound like anyone really did though.[break][break]
"I can see the value in being able to empower each other, working together like that...," Yuina thought, starting to take on the idea for herself.[break]
"Uhm, yeah kind of? I mean, I don't have a sword for myself, my Samurott and I each weild one of his seamitars, if we need to," she returned, and having just said it out loud, she couldn't imagine having a blade that wasn't shared by him, she wouldn't want to weild any other kind of weapon, it wouldn't feel... right...

Where Yuina had still felt a bit awkward through the initial portion of the interaction, unsure really what it was that she was supposed to do or say to help things along given how sudden it felt without notice from Navy, she did look up with a smile at Melody's excitement.[break][break]
"Yeah, yeah it really does, I couldn't imagine bearing another kind of weapon, knowing that we're two halves of the same whole," she returned, beginning to match the enthusiasm, though the name 'Cobalion' was lost on her, Yuina had never heard the legendary Pokemon's name before.[break][break]
Melody asked, if she and Daikenki were close... And to say so felt like an understatement, but, she knew she wasn't a special case. There were people and their Pokemon who had worked together for decades beyond what she and Daikenki shared, but... Their bond did transcend the tests of space-time...[break][break]
"We are, I was trying to get out of one of those distortions that show up sometimes, and through all of the Pokemon that attacked, he came out and saved me," Yuina returned, a half truth... He is from a distortion, but their bond goes back centuries before that.

The act made them two halves of a whole, she loved it. She was certainly making a positive impression on Melody for their introduction. No wonder sent her to melody. [break][break]

The eccentric diva was lost in thought, staring at the girl and growing ever more curious. Too curious actually. [break][break]

"Hey, this might be a bit sudden so feel free to say no but." she says as Melody reaches into her back pocket and pulls out a pokeball. "But a pokemon coming to your aid in the middle of a distortion? That's amazing, he must be one tough cookie! I totally have to test my mettle against a pokemon like that. Would you humor me in a mock battle?" she asks [break][break]

"Maybe we could deepen you bond even further if we test it with one of these." she says as Melody snaps her fingers and one of her pokemon comes rushing over holding a syngasuit core. "Could be yours if you say yes, you need one of these bad boys for a suit."
The diva was also pretty manipulative but she had the best of intentions.

Whatever she was saying, it felt like she was saying the right things, if... There were right or wrong things to be said in an interaction like this? Worst case, she was refused help, but it felt like she was making a good impression on this first meeting with Melody's enthusiasm for everything. That was at least encouraging.[break][break]
The next bit to follow, was only a bit surprising, as Melody asked for a mock battle with Daikenki in particular. But, if the little that she knew about sygna suits was true to begin with, it was about being able to battle well with your Pokemon in the first place. That was why Navy recommended she try with Daikenki specifically after all.[break][break]
"Oh, uh, yeah, sure we can do that," Yuina returned, glancing to the orb that Melody held out at her request. That must be the important piece of the sygna suit, if Yuina had to guess, similar to the tera orb or the mega accessory that she had for herself in order to call on the power of those energies.[break][break]
"I'd really like to try, both of us would. The more we can work together and become stronger together... it sounds like a win win situation," Yuina confirmed, solidifying the agreement for a battle.[break]
Yuina reached to her belt, drawing out Daikenki's particular Pokeball, the ancient Hisuian era Ultra Ball that had belonged to him in their past. The steam hissed from the release as she opened the Pokeball, and Daikenki emerged as he stood beside Yuina now. The Samurott licked at his chops, acclimating for that moment as he moved, leaning in and sniffing at the top of Yuina's head in acknowledgement to her.

She looks at the strange pokeball in confusion, she had heard about them online but not really seen one in person herself. "So this is the famous lil guy huh? The distortion defender himself." [break][break]

"I'm gonna battle with Primarina, no sygnasuit of course. It would give me an unfair advantage." as she power downs her sygnasuit and the link is severed and primarina fluffs her hair before the battle. "One on one, no special gimmicks just a good old fashioned battle. Sound good to you? You can take the first move"

This whole thing was a test, and well, a game to her. She wanted to see just how close these two were before she just handed over a sygnasuit core to this girl. They were a precious resource in this world as sygnasuits were not just simple outfits, they granted boosts comparable to that to some of the abilities in Aqua...[break][break]

Standing beside Daikenki now, Yuina smoothed a hand over his broad neck, glancing up to his gaze.[break]
"This is Daikenki, hopefully we won't disappoint and he can keep the title 'distortion defender'... It sounds kind of neat," Yuina nodded as Melody laid out the basics for what she had in mind, powering down the sygna suit that she shared with the Primarina.[break][break]
Yuina tried to start thinking as quickly as she could, accepting the terms of no gimmicks, a good old fashioned battle. Even if she couldn't tap in to some of Daikenki's power to aid him, they could still level the playing field...[break]
"Alright, we'll start. Daikenki, hitasu," Yuina spoke, standing back from the Samurott to begin the battle. He barked, taking a stance to accept the challenge, and at Yuina's word he released a bout of water. Instead of the water rushing to pour over and Soak the Primarina though, he doused himself.

Melody grins as she is glad that Yuina accepts that title of the distortion defender. It was honestly a goofy throwaway title but the fact that she so readily accepted it told melody the two would get along great. Especially if she entertained melody's eccentric goofy nature. [break][break]

As the battle commences, she expects the soak to come right towards Primarina at first, the diva prepared for her hair to be ruined. [break][break]

However that moment never comes as instead she used it on her saumrott to remove the dark type disadvantage against primarina. It was a smart move in her opinion, setting herself up for success. "Nice idea, let's see what else you guys can come up with together. Hit that high note primarina!" she orders as Melody as begins to sing a specific tune and the two harmonize their voices together a PSYCHIC NOISE flows through the area and attempts to strike at Samurott and prevent future healing.

the baby pokemon fill the seats and watch in awe as the battle gets underway, each one of them watching with their jaws agape.

Shaking out his smooth fur a bit, Daikenki barked at the battle getting ready to start. Yuina knew that they didn't have a lot that they could do against the Primarina damage wise, she wasn't sure that this could come out to a 'win', but victory here would just mean showing the extent of how well she and Daikenki could work together in battle. That was really the most important aspect.[break][break]
The set up did have its ups and downs now as Yuina realized that she had opened up Daikenki to take psychic type damage while trying to avoid fairy type damage as they Primarina began to sing. And as Daikenki barked and hissed at the oncoming ruckus, Yuina hoped that they could still do their best.[break]
"Kage," Yuina called above the noise, and the Samurott hissed through open maw as he leaped into the shadows around him, disappearing into the darkness. His shadow swept along the ground, looking to close the gap between him and the Primarina.
