Well, after setting up the incense, there was only one thing left to do ... waiting. Cassandra finds a nearby rock to sit down on - after clearing a bit of the snow - and decides to watch Eira in her element for a moment. A faint smile dances around Cass' lips, seemingly following the elegant movements of the Cufant as she dances, and dances, and ...
She frowns. Was it just her or did that smell get faint-
"H-hey?! What the- Come back!" Cass shouts after the retreating figure of a Weavile which, inexplicably, has stolen her incense? She tries to run as fast as the snow allows, also half-turning back to Eira who definitely had to notice the commotion. "Eira, honey, we're having a bit of a situation!" she yells, waving with her arms, and quickly stopping because she was losing balance fast.
And she'd rather not faceplant into the snow, as soft as it may look like. You never know what's below ....
Gladly, Eira is better at navigating this kind of environment, and she quickly surpasses her trainer, letting out warning stomps before closing the distance and cutting the Weavile's way off.
Then, both of the pokémon seem to freeze without influence from their environment. Cass catches up, breathing heavily, "Hey- so, now- give it-" She then proceeds to take in the more and more awkward situation. "Do you ... know each other?" she asks, cautiously, judging from the way the two were looking at each other. She can't really tell if that's a good or a bad thing, however, but- it would make sense, overall. After all, Eira is from here.
A familiar face, huh ...
Then, the Weavile hisses, throwing the incense carelessly onto the ground - welp, that's it for that - and jumps to get away-
... just to be hit square in the face by a zen headbutt from Eira. Suddenly, the air is filled with accusatory pokémon noises, and Cass feels even more awkward. Something she didn't think was possible. She very slowly moves to retrieve the incense box (at least that she could still use) and proceeds to just ... perch while the pokémon were having an increasingly heated discussion.
Some part of Cass wishes she had pokémon. The other parts of Cass yell at her for being insensitive. To give the two pokémon a bit of privacy, she starts having a half-hearted, but still intense discussion between herself in her head, but she couldn't help but watch Eira and the Weavile intently still.
She did almost become an ice block before she could feel Eira's freezing trunk touch her hand. Immediately, Cass flinches, proving that she is indeed a human being that would like to be at a certain, above 35°C temperature, and not that block of steel ice, thank you. She jumps into the air, and a step back- and was pushed upright by the Weavile in time not to end up in the snow after having managed to avoid it for so long.
"It seems like you guys talked it out, huh? Awesome!" She gives Eira a thumbs-up, and the Cufant seems quite proud of herself, even a bit bashful - just like Cass knows her. But, there's more to her ... and she loved seeing new sides of her pokémon. "We're gonna have to get home soon and ... if you guys don't mind, I mean, we could take you with us?"
She takes out a pokéball, which ... "Hang on." She breathes against it, rubs it, and ... "Ah, now it works again. If you want?" She would really rather not go home empty-handed, and ... she looks at Eira again. She thought Eira might like it, too. "No pressure, though," she says, trying to be casual as she throws the ball.
