It should have been a normal GEOLOGICAL SURVEY EXCURSION. Instead, the DRILLING RIG that Remiel Calcifet carries upon his back ends up saving his life when a blast of HIDDEN POWER strikes. The skies of AREA ZERO had never been safe, but now they were entirely exposed to the DRK TRIAD ASSASSINS that had targeted them.[break][break]

After shedding the now destroyed piece of equipment from his back, it plummets towards the wilds below before Remiel grips the horn of his IRON JUGULIS' saddle and turns to the woman flying beside him: freya morningstar . "We need to land and find cover!" He shouts over the roar of more passing blasts. The DRK TRIAD was everywhere. Staying in the sky would only mean their doom.[break][break]

The commotion in the sky was sure to have attracted the attention of unwanted parties, Remiel thinks to himself as they land in a shallow pond surrounded by lush pines and a steep cliff face. They could only hide here for so long before their would-be assassins found them again, too.[break][break]

"Are you okay?" The royal asks, sliding off his cybernetic mount before approaching Freya. "I heard the DRK TRIAD was taking a more direct hand in things here... but I doubt hunting AVATARS is their only purpose." He adds, casting a suspicious look around them.[break][break]

they'd left her well enough alone in all other instances except when she's traveled with an avatar. the agents will try to cut through her, but their end goal is the other.

she's breathing hard by the time they find a reprieve. they hadn't exactly been subtle upon their land, but kirimu's onslaught of heat waves had immolated enough of them to force them to regroup. or so she hopes.

she dismounts and nods at his question, tilting her head back to look through the canopy of trees and clusters of crystals.

"i'm not so sure," she says grimly. "but we need to keep moving. half of area zero would have heard that."

Research was all he had planned to do, lured deeper and deeper into the caverns on what he thought was a trace of the DRK Triad. is companion, oscar clayton , doing well enough to keep up. Neon only stopped twice to make sure he was hanging in there before darting ahead. Most assassins abandoned the post if they were overwhelmed and they had yet to capture a live assassin. Maybe today they'd get lucky. [break][break]

Lead through caverns and then lush greenery he keeps an eye out for the all black agents. freya morningstar would be right. is Genesect leads them ever closer before sharply turning left and looking down. It's radars having found a strong infinity energy signature. Neon doesn't hesitate, especially not when he sees the Councilwoman and Avatar that had made his own pokemon easy prey. His Genesect drops, it's heaving mass slamming down onto the ground before letting out an obnoxiously loud BUG BUZZ. [break][break]

"C'mon Oscar." he said to his friend, clapping him quick on the arm before dropping down after his partner. He as nothing up his sleeve except a brand new dagger, jayden cross had gifted him and one of the few people he'd actually witnessed trying to hurt Jayden. "Good morning assholes!" he greeted, ready for a fight now that DRK Triad had already done some of the work for them. [break][break]

Oscar thought this was going to be a straight forward day out. Just accompany Mint into Area Zero and make sure he did not get jumped by DRK TRIAD losers. He did not even wear his full disguise, just a Halloween skull mask with a black-hooded long coat. That was Oscar's definition of casual. Yet he should have known by now that nothing stays simple in Hoenn.

Oscar followed Mint on his own Genesect, Prime. When Mint's Genesect suddenly took an unexpected turn, Oscar got a bad feeling in his gut. That feeling was only elevated as the hovered toward what sounded like a struggle, or at least the end of one. The duo quickly came upon two grounded humans, and as Mint dove down to attack Oscar sigh heavily as he realized who they were facing.

Fucking Remiel, why was it always Remiel? And was his companion Freya god damn Morningstar? Wonderful, Oscar had hit the shit show lottery. Oscar let out an annoyed groan as he moved in to land next to Mint. He slid off of his Genesect, shaking his head as he took his place next to his companion. He and Remiel had not spoken in a while, but until stated otherwise their secret alliance still stood. Oscar will play the part he needs to and hope that Remiel could make it out alive. Still, the two had to stop running into each other like this.

Oscar spoke to address both of their opponents, but he was speaking more directly to the royal traitor. "Good is stretching it. Thanks for making our lives harder. We doing this or what?" Prime stood beside its master, waiting patiently for the order to engage the enemy.

The loud thud and the BUG BUZZ that follows is all the alarm the two Dragon-type specialists need to ready themselves for another attack. Remiel glares sharply at the masked man who appears shortly thereafter, clasping his hands together and then slowly sliding them apart to form a LIGHTNING BOLT in his right. "Just what we needed." He sarcastically remarks with a huff.[break][break]

At the sight of a familiar disguise, however, the royal's glare slightly softens. It had been some time since he'd contacted oscar clayton aboveground. The lack of it had been purposeful: too many eyes on TEAM ROCKET's most wanted man, after all. But, as far as he was concerned, their secret alliance was still (indeed) in play.[break][break]

Unfortunately, this meant he would once more be forced to juggle between holding back and granting TEAM ROCKET the defeat they deserved. "ELECTRIC TERRAIN." He commands, prompting his Iron Jugulis to bury its hand-mouths into the soil below before spreading a wave of electricity across the field.[break][break]

"It's you and me again, Freya," The royal remarks, keeping his eyes fixed on the first TEAM ROCKET member to grace their presence. "And this looks like the same misguided pest we lost in the dust cloud some time ago. Come to meet your bitter ends here, have we, gentlemen?"[break][break]

her warning has become a premonition and all too soon do agents of rocket grace their presence in such a timely manner. her scowl is made apparent, but the exchange makes her think of a low-level shakedown more than anything. still, she can't discount them - not with a genesect at their side and especially not after the runaround the other one gave them back on the shore.

electricity sizzles around the area and makes her hair stand on end. remiel's affinity for the element is a given, but she eyes the genesect warily as she draws her sword from the scabbard at her hip.

"kirimu," she says in response to remiel's question, "docar." brilliant white and orange flames spurt from the roaring moon's maw, bathing both her and remiel's silhouettes in gold.

His Genesect began to levitate as it used MAGNET RISE, floating off the ground effortlessly as its trainer focused on their opponents. "Misguided? Aren't you the one who's a long way from home, prick?" he said back. He put a hand on his hip, resting a palm over the hilt of a dagger, eyes roaming over Remiel Calcifet 's body. He wanted payback of course, but even more importantly, he wanted the bastard's samples. [break][break]

"Time for your blood tax traitor." he stated before making a break for the prince. The sudden heat comes with a series of warning beeps form his Genesect as the robotic beetle retreats. Neon is forced to give the pair some berth, waiting for his chance to slip in. He'd be fine after all. oscar clayton was watching his back after all. [break][break]
