It was a real treat for Rustboro's Rangers to see. Every so often in the most remote corner of Rustboro Park, their Captain would put on a show of what her unique Sygna Suit could do. It was on the edge of town to minimize noise pollution, as what she did was... loud, to say the least.

Behind the Captain was a towering Venusaur, her giant, thick vines outstretched next to her. She hopped onto it like one would mount a Pokémon, both of them glowing a faint green from the suit she wore turning from dormant to active. Infinity Energy flowed between her and her Venusaur, the girl putting on a BRAVE face. While the vine did not crack like a whip with her on it (she couldn't secure a permit for noise that loud this time of day), the grass-type still swung it about in circles, whirling her about at dizzying speeds. Many of those who had never seen the display before gasped in awe.

How was she withstanding such brutal forces on her body? Was the Sygna Suit capable of absorbing it?

After holding her peak speed for a bit, the Venusaur slowed the vine to a stop, gently allowing Shalin to get on solid ground again. Her legs were starting to feel like jelly, but the applause she was showered in made it worthwhile. Plus, she still had the second half of her demonstration to get through...

The Ranger Captain promised to show Michael just what a Sygna Suit could do. So when Shalin Nariya invited him and his Pokemon partners to see her extravagant spectacle, he couldn't say no! The Cadet was more than thrilled to attend the show!

Michael found himself a lovely spot by the park's pond. It was close to the performance area, and Cobalt could enjoy the cool, fresh water. Other onlookers shared the same idea, letting their Water-Type Pokemon have a decent view of the demonstration.

The Cadet and Eimyrja applauded and cheered for their friend as she finished the first half of the entertainment! Cobalt would applaud, too, if only he had fins that could do so. The Seadra did a little dance instead as a display of joy!

This all left Michael to be more curious about Sygna Suits than before. To be so in-sync with one's Pokemon, to perform such amazing feats...Michael had to admit, seeing such a thing in action led him to feeling slightly envious. Maybe, someday, he might find a Sygna Suit in his possession. Though the Cadet reminded himself after a brief tingle of remorse; it didn't matter what fancy suits or gadgets anyone owned, whether they be Dynamax Bands or Mega stones. One's love and respect for their Pokemon would remain just as important and equally special.

Shalin took note of Michael's presence and waved toward him as she waited for sufficient feeling to return to her legs. She flashed a small smile at seeing Cobalt being taken care of so nicely.

Once she could stand on her own again, Shalin withdrew her Venusaur and swapped Pokémon to her Flygon. When she appeared, also glowing a similar green to the Venusaur, her Sygna Suit's appearance changed, flashily morphing from being covered in plants, flowers, and a pair of vines to Flygon-themed dragon scales and a pair of red-tinted shields over her eyes.

As she approached, the Flygon's wings vanished into a blur and hummed in a low pitch for a few seconds. The desert spirit seemed to fly more like an insect than a dragon, which made the Captain's act of sitting on one of the wings even more mind-numbing. The green light around them grew slightly more intense, those in tune with Infinity Energy from having used Mega Evolution more able to feel just how much of the stuff was radiating from the two.

As impressive as her demonstration with Saria was, this seemed esoteric. How was she holding on to something moving so fast?

Amusement pooled inside of Michael as he crossed his arms. He felt a quick sensation of envy in his mind. He was not proud of allowing himself to feel such things, so he swiftly quelled it as soon as it began. The Cadet instead focused on the spectacle, smiling to himself as he observed Shalin's antics.

This time, the Ranger Captain performed her feats with the help of her Flygon. Staying stuck to their now nigh invisible wings was a feat in of itself. It reminded Michael of his first meeting with the Captain on Route 118.

Another round of applause was in order! With a cheer and a broadening grin, Michael offered his appreciation for the show which Shalin and her partners offered the onlookers. Witnessing how in-sync she was with her team helped nudge Michael's opinions of Sygna Suits to grow to be more open-minded.

Shalin wished she could ratchet up her Flygon's wings to a shrill Bug Buzz and show her audience just how fast her suit let her go. She was showered in raucous applause before most of the Rangers present dispersed, leaving Michael Davis as one of the few that remained.

"Oh, Michael!" the Sygna Suited Captain called out, her voice still a little distorted from the wings beating somewhat quickly. Only when they completely slowed, revealing his dizzy-looking friend, could she be easily understood. "Glad you could make it! Sadly that's all I have planned - couldn't secure a noise permit for what I really wanted to do."
