As they wait on the precipice of the rift, they consider the depth of their success. Multiple trips to the city have yielded lackluster results. It’s a consternating realization. And though Fern would very much like to consider themself adept (and they do, thank you,) perhaps a fresh perspective is in order.[break][break]
