Melody sighs she was a bit disappointed in his response it seemed. She felt like she could understand him a bit better from this battle, his pokemon each served a specific role in battle, he was a very logical thinker, yet all he could figure out about her so far was that she loved what she did. Well, he wasn't wrong. "I'd expect a more thorough analysis from you. But." she says "I wouldn't be exactly an eccentric diva if people could fully understand my vision now would I?" She turns around and walks towards her piano and send sout two more pokeball. "Lapras, Skeledirge." she calls out as some of Melody's pokemon enter the rooma nd seemingly set up, specifically her rilalboom and the toxtricities from earlier, now healed from her gardevoir using heal pulse on their pokeballs. [break][break]

"No mercy now Greyson, entertain me!" she says as the tempo of the battle shifts and Melody's pokemon become much more aggressive[break][break]

Skeledirge unleashes a YAWN upon the comfey to try and lul it into the dream world and prevent it from supporting Samurott. Lapras seemingly winds up it's body before rushing forward in a corkscrew motion, attempting to jam it's horn into the samurai otter with DRILL RUN.

She panics as she see's the encore come out and lock her skeledirge into trying to use YAWN. Melody'S Lapras rushes in and tries to block the skeledirge from receiving the praise by ending their DRILL RUSH EARLY, abandoning the attack.[break][break]

It gets in the way encore and is stucking using DRILL RUSH repeatedly. Skeledirge sees how Lapras was stuck using drill rush and began to paw at the ground, using DIG. [break][break]

"Come now Greyson, you take me as a girl that'd rather hear a beautiful lie? I prefer ugly truths like I told ." she points out. Hell the whole reason they started fighting was because she felt like he had been lying. [break][break]

"Is that so?" she says almost laughing at how the script had suddenly flipped and he gave a brutually honest opinion. [break][break]

"But I hope you don't confuse my kindness with weakness. It may make me who I am but it doesn't restrain me." she says as a grass knot wraps around Lapras holding it in place as the sacred sword collides with the Lapras. "Hope you don't mind but im gonna continue to make this harder for you." [break][break]

She pulls out a mega stone and as the sword collides against lapras's shell. The shell begins to expand and Melody's Lapras starts to MEGA EVOLVE It's shell expands, hardens, and even starts to create shards of ice int he shape of musical notes that gravitate around it's body. The encore's effect repelled from it's body allowing it to choose "Crescendo, Lapras." she orders as the Lapras unleashes a beautiful song that freezes the water in the arena and rips it from the ground, attempting to slam it into the comfey. [break][break]

As the ice freezes, a portion of it cracks from underneath comfey as skeledirge's DIG finds it's target and tries to slam into comfey underneath. "How do you view yourself? " she asks her challenger

[attr="class","snub-greyson"]Greyson suppresses a groan. He knew he shouldn't have said anything. Anytime a woman said something equivalent to 'I won't get mad' they always did. It was his fault for walking intentionally into that trap.

Alarm bells ping in Samurott's mind as Lapras MEGA EVOLVES and her shell expands visibly.

Thinking quickly, Samurott pushes off the enlarged Pokémon and puts much needed distance between the two while simultaneously, Comfey releases a SPRINGTIDE STORM in the direction of the incoming attack.

Remarkably, ethereal leaves of every hue slowly freeze into brittle corpses that lack vibrancy, and the after effects of the attack strike them both. Petals fall from Comfey's ring, and her cries of pain could melt even the iciest of hearts.

She huddles closer to the water-types horn in response which is what saves her from the DIG and allows Samurott to strike back with the edge of his blade in RETALIATION

The max resonance melody launched collides with the springtide storm, the two moves battle for dominance before eventually melody's attack explodes and ice crystals fly across the battle field. However those shards of ice create a beautiful aurora veil that wraps itself around her team in a defensive barrier to lower Greyson's strength behind his attacks. [break][break]

The retaliate lands it's marks, boosted by the previously fainted members of the party and collides first with the aurora veil however when it reaches the Skeledirge the attack phases right through him. A normal type move had no affect against a ghost type. "Now! Torch song!" she shouts as the skeledirge aims in close and unleashes a unholy shriek of fire and flames against the samurott up close and personal

"Focus the Skeledirge!" He orders Samurott, and the Water-type doesn't need convincing. Point-blank he releases a HYDRO PUMP from a snarling maw.

Skeledirge's eyes widen, this was to be expected of a type that had an advantage against him and a pokemon that was better at close quarters combat. [break][break]

The Shell armor weakened the torch song and comfey quickly got to work healing the seared skin. Her attack was quickly minimized as his pokemon worked in tandem with one another, skeldirge is quickly slammed down by the HYDRO PUMP, however his dance partner lapras was ready to strike back as it was left free to it's own devices. [break][break]

Arcs of electricity start to crackle in the air around Lapras as she charges a THUNDER BOLT aimed squarely at the Samurott. Meanwhile skeledirge disspears into the ground, using the hole it had created last time to go back to it's previous position and get away from samurott. Once it emerges from the ground it takes a deep breath and releases a BOOSTED HYPER VOICE

"Split your focus!" He commands, excitement leaking into his voice. Was this a mistake on Melody's part?

He could only press the presumed advantage.

A FLOWER SHIELD erects itself to catch the incoming THUNDERBOLT but she could do nothing against the HYPER VOICE that rattled their bones.

Comfey screams and Samurott roars but both are drowned out in the sound.

"THE HOLE!" Greyson yells over the explosion of sound. "THE HOLE!"

Opening his maw felt like someone was drilling directly into his teeth, but he pushes through. Another torrent of HYDRO PUMP races down into the space left behind by the DIG as water quickly fills the hole.

"Get ready!" Maybe, just maybe, the Fire-type would come bursting out of the ground nearby as it finds the safety of its hole compromised.

The classic flooding of the hole. Melody had no real answer to it. Skeledirge attempts to hold on the edge of the hole it created to stay safe but the fire crocodile was helpless against it. The HYDROPUMP erupts from underneath it and sends the pokemon flying into the air creating an easy opening for samurott to finish off the creature. [break][break]

As the flower shield dissipates, lapras jumps the comfey with a DRILL RUN to give greyson two options. Was he the type of person to prioritize and easy kill or defend an ally? melody was curious to see what he'd choose.

"Looks like she's out!" His grin speaks to the victory he felt in that statement. Distracting Lapras gave Samurott the chance to finally end the dual-type currently freefalling. Lifting his head, he crowns his MEGAHORN with the gator's unconscious form.

Satisfied, but not done, he turns to Lapras with one hand on his blade.

The skeledirge is finished off from Greyson's attack. [break][break]

This was going to be a finale battle between the lapras and samurott. The next and final move determined everything "Go, statccio" she orders as the lapras uses it's FREEZE DRY to create a make shift horn sword on it's head. Maybe Cobalion taught it this [break][break]

It rushes forward towards samurott, however it slips up as it tries to strike at samurott the SHELL ARMOR blocks the hit effectively, leaving samurott to finish it off easily.
