Tempest scribbles down declan walsh's reply. He hums to himself, pausing and frowning some; deep in thought.[break][break]

"Actually, didn't that special Floette do something with Infinity Energy to get Cil (Cillian Quinn) and Lugia synced up? I wonder if it could replicate that with something else. Have we blasted that Dragon Rock thing with it? Uh.. the white one we got a while back. Maybe someone should try that out."[break][break]

Tempest gives it a bit more thought before shrugging that off, writing the idea in the margins of his notes. He can pass it off to someone else.[break][break]

"Now that I mention it, where is that Floette. I haven't seen it in a while. Did it die?" These questions weren't directly related to Tempest's questioning. He only allows it to linger a bit longer before going back to his questions.[break][break]

"Eh, well... were you seeking Avatarship or did it kind of fall into your lap?"

the light stone acted more like a paperweight than an artifact of legend. for now, it lays dormant. ever sleeping. ever waiting—but there is no promise that the reshiram of before is the reshiram that resides within now.[break][break]

"Would it share it's powers with other people who asked?" Tempest wonders aloud, idly. He knew that Lulu Flint had shared powers with the dark legendary. It seemed outside of the usual Legendary Pokemon MO to just... give powers to whoever asked for them. Maybe Darkrai was a special case.[break][break]

If the Boss was really that curious, he could ask. declan walsh might even be invited to see how they feel first hand.[break][break]

"What about you? What do you want from your bond?"[break][break]

The question flows out so easily from his lips. It is a natural progression to build upon. Yet the answer that Walsh gives has Tempest pause, eyes far away as he puzzled things out for himself. If the Legends on paired with humans because of the era, then....[break][break]

"I don't think I would like to be used as a chess piece." Is muttered, loud enough for the other to hear.

"For Darkrai, yes, and many others. I've spoken with current and past Avatars who seemed more like slaves. Or, well... maybe like they were trapped in an abusive relationship is more apt?" Tempest gave a small sigh. Looking over his notes, once, then pulling the cap of the pen from the end with his teeth. A stray smudge of ink stuck to the corner of his lip, unnoticed.[break][break]

He is about to thank declan walsh for his time when Tempest suddenly remembers something.[break][break]

"Oh! I almost forgot. I wanted to see if you or Darkrai knew anything about a few pokemon."[break][break]

Shuffling through papers, Tempest pulls out a few notes. These ones are more scattered and scribbled on that the others, slightly wrinkled. Smoothing them out, he offers to them to his boss.[break][break]

"I was discussing with Nebula about 'em. Do you know anything about any of them? If we can track more of them down, us and SPECTRA might be able to convince them to join Rocket. Or just catch them." Or kill them, unsaid but most likely understood.[break][break]

The papers were various notes of legendary sightings across the region. A few of them had (weirdly cute) drawings next to them with no names. Information about where they had been seen and what they had done was written next to each one. There were three columns, one labeled 'LEAGUE', one 'ROCKET' and one just '??' off to the side. A few from the '??' section had been crossed out and names added beside them.

he scans the papers, eyes tabbing through one line to the next. the visuals, though rudimentary to the boss' eyes, still convey what they need to.[break][break]

"we are actively pursuing these pokemon when we can." the boss says. "yveltal," he points at its cute depiction, "being one of them, due to our current possession of xerneas."[break][break]

he removes his hand and stares across at the man.[break][break]

"pokemon who do not fall rank and file with us will be terminated. that much is known."[break][break]

"Eh, maybe. I ain't the type to think too hard about that kinda stuff. Only eyes I got is human ones." Tempest chuckles lightly at his own joke, cracking an easy, toothy grin at the man across from him. Since declan walsh seems to be finished with the papers he sweeps them back into his stack, messy; he can straighten them back out later.[break][break]

"Last I heard, it was hiding out in the Borders. I'll see about shaking down someone to do an expedition out there if you want. I do have a lot of experience out there." Tempest had forged ahead to write reports on that place before. It didn't scare him as much as some others might. [break][break]

"If we can't reason with it or capture it, we'll kill it." It was final. Blase. A nothing. As if it would be as easy as boiling a kettle for tea. Maybe for Tempest it would be. You couldn't fear the incarnate of death when you weren't afraid to die.[break][break]

Tempest shuffles around in his papers before nodding to the other. He meets Declan's eyes and gives a small shrug.[break][break]

"Thanks for letting me interview you. I'll make sure to have a solid report on your desk quick as I can get it. Do you need anything from me, sir? If not, you want to have a friendly match?" Temp half motions to scratched and well loved Dive Balls hooked onto his belt.
