Within moments the dog had MEGA EVOLVED, after which she shook out her coat in excitement and barreled forward. In doing so, she flushed a FLETCHLING from its hiding spot in some nearby thickets.[break][break]

Of course, Bellona sprinted in PURSUIT of the bird.

Unfortunately for the FLETCHLING, in her enhanced state Bellona was even more athletic than usual. When the bird flushed from its thicket and attempted to fly away, the HOUNDOOM simply leapt in the air and caught it in her jaws.[break][break]

Mercifully, the dog had a soft mouth as she returned to her owner, prize in hand.[break][break]

"How sweet of you," Barnaby cooed, Safari Ball at the ready to capture the FLETCHLING.[break][break]

Afterwards they continued further into the Safari Zone, though the weather quickly turned as they entered a more arid part of the park. A SANDSTORM began, causing BARNABY FINCH to shield his eyes as he pressed on.

The sounds of the whipping sand and grit were so loud that BARNABY FINCH almost didn't hear the thrum of an engine to his right. Only when the VAROOM sped closer did the admin notice its distinctive call.[break][break]

Bellona, bless her, did not enjoy the sandstorm one bit. She retreated to Barnaby's side, indignant to continue. Which was fine with him — he had many others that could endure the annoyance.[break][break]

"Let's finish this quickly." He instructed Felix, his PORYGON-Z, after releasing it from its Luxury Ball. The Pokémon certainly took the order to heart, too, as it immediately executed its Z-MOVE GIGAVOLT HAVOC on the passing VAROOM.

As Barnaby bent over to pick up the Safari Ball, he noticed a pair of little yellow paws beneath a nearby bush and a quiet squeak from what was soon revealed to be a PICHU. [break][break]

Perhaps the earlier surge of electrical energy had lured it in. Whatever the case, the small rodent was surprisingly friendly toward BARNABY FINCH. With only a few soft words from the admin the PICHU was coaxed out from hiding and hesitantly accepting a treat from his upturned palm.[break][break]

“Come along, little one.” He cooed, scooping up the Pokémon in one arm.

The PICHU was surprisingly docile in BARNABY FINCH's arms, though this peace did not last long. From the bushes a pair of bright yellow eyes watched, their owner waiting for just the right moment to...[break][break]

Spring into action! The reason for PICHU's amiable attitude was made clear: it was being stalked by a particularly ferocious LITTEN. Jumping up near Barnaby, the cat batted its clawed paws in desperation for a little rodent meal.[break][break]

"Sssskk! Away with you!" The admin hissed, gesturing for his HOUNDOOM to subdue the LITTEN — an easy feat for the MEGA EVOLVED Pokémon. Within seconds the kitten was snuggling secured in a Safari Ball.
