It was rewarding to see the opponent was surprised by Terastellization. An electric or ground type would of been more practical but Hermes was a speedy pokemon-- and psychic tera boosted its already psychic attributes further. It also played to Zachary's strengths as well. [break][break] On the sidelines, Dizzy and Nyx cheered as they encouraged their trainer to win. [break][break] However, the sparks on the ground began to spark less and less-- signs that Electric Terrain was going to expire soon. THe pikachu released a powerful THunderbolt! Raichu sped around the brunt of it, but still felt its shocking impacts on its back! The Alola Raichu now, no longer an electric type now felt its full effects-- which was a shock for him. [break][break] No pun intended.[break][break] "We got to finish this quickly!" Zachary urged to Hermes as he skated along the battlefield. "Let's end this with Tera Blast!" [break][break] Hermes charged and with a paw raised-- violet sparkling energy gathered before his paw. It swirled and gathered into a sphere-- but soon blipped out of sight! It would reappear right before Pikachu-- threatening to go off with a quartz-colored crystal explosion of tera power![break][break] Should the fight go on further-- Electric Terrain would have to be renewed. Or else even with Agility active on Hermes-- he would be a sitting duck to the electric mouse. But Zachary had no idea what could happen next from this surprise challenger! [break][break]

Tera Blast was a mysterious move that did damage based off the user's tera type. It was Zachary's ace in the hole for a Terastellized Pokemon. The attack did connect, and the poor Pikachu went flying-- but then something unexpected happened. [break][break] The cocky trainer soon pulled out some kind of wristband-- one that Zachary never seen. "Um, no. Should I?" he retorted, not wanting to be intimidated by the guy. [break][break] It was in that moment-- after the attack, the sky darkened and a strange energy surrounded the pikachu! In a matter of seconds, the energy made Pikachu erupt in size-- becoming a giant, towering creature all the way into the sky. [break][break] Zachary felt the color and feeling leave his body, utterly shocked. He dropped his Tera Orb, horrified to now see their small enemy become a massive monster in size. [break][break] Hermes looked up, his jaw agape as he waved his little arms, now frightened by the size of his opponent-- and supercharged by electric power. [break][break] With the trainer's call about his standing in some big tournament-- massive lightning bolts began to rain down! "Hermes , get Eletric Terrain back up and dodge them!" Zachary shouted. [break][break] They were quickly thrown onto defense as Hermes released another surge of electricity to reconstruct Electric Terrain for what good it did. Zachary didn't have a clue about Gigantimax! To him, it looked like Pikachu just decided to evolve into some super giant beast that now was dominating the field! [break][break] Hermes could only do one thing-- run! With electric terrain back up, Hermes attempted to flee from the rampaging lightning bolts, surfing over the now maelstrom of electricity around him! Even with Terastellization, he didn't have a chance to scratch something that big! [break][break]

This was bad-- even Hermes knew it! They were fighting a giant and now were on the defense. Even with Electric Terrain, they had no choice to flee-- as they couldn't attack something that big head on. Zachary was in a panic too. As his other Pokemon never seen 'Dynamax" before, Zachary had never seen it either-- and it was like something from a nightmare! [break][break] Hermes was quick enough to evade the large cracks of lightning around him, thanks to Terastellization and Surge Surfer-- but what came next was impossible to dodge. Of all things, the Pikachu produced a powerful blast of water-- Max Guyser it was called. The massive blast of water was wide and fast. [break][break] Hermes barely was able to turn to see the torrent of water come-- and the poor electric mouse not even able to surf on it. [break][break] The blast went off, sending water in all directions! Zachary guarded himself with his jacket-- the water spraying his Delphox, who barked and growled, hating the water![break][break] "HERMES!!" Zachary cried, utterly shocked. [break][break] The moisture and mist soon began to fade, as did the electric terrain it seemed. The mist cleared, to reveal Hermes having wiped out.[break][break] The electric mouse was lying on the ground, off his tail, and dazed with swirls in his eyes. In that moment, the violet sheen of crystal soon glowed-- and shattered off his body, powering down. Hermes had lost the battle. [break][break] "No...." Zachary breathed, unable to believe how fast he lost in the face of such a massive pokemon. Zachary was in shock as he fell to his knees before Hermes, the poor Raichu passed out. [break][break] He gently patted the Raichu's head-- which was answered by a small moan, having been smacked senseless from such a strong move. [break][break] The victor went to Aaron and his gigantic Pikachu. [break][break]

Zachary was still in shock as he cared for Hermes, still out cold and swirls in his eyes. After a moment he gave Hermes a reassured pat on the head and took out his Pokeball to recall him. "Thank you Hermes. You did great. I'm sorry I couldn't lead you to victory. Get some rest, okay buddy?" Zachary said and recalled him. [break][break] As Hermes vanished into he Luxury Ball to recover, he rose back up. His Hoothoot and Delphox soon rejoined him to console their trainer. It was then his opponent returned and gave a sincere 'good game' in his own words. He then explained, it was called Gigamax. [break][break] "Gigantamax? And here I thought 'what the hell were you feeding' your Pikachu," Zachary replied half sarcastically. [break][break] Zachary didn't like to loose, as he had only a small few victories. Still, he knew there were other trainers far stronger than him, and this person was indeed powerful and strong. Despite his 'awkwardness' he was indeed a skilled opponent. [break][break] With the man and his Pikachu on his shoulder, Zachary reached up a hand to shake his for a good battle. "Thank you for the match and sorry for the misunderstanding..." Zachary said . [break][break] With their battle concluded, Zachary soon said his goodbyes and continued on the road to lead to the next town. [break][break]
