It felt good, to be returning to a sense of normalcy after everything else happened. It had been barely 48 hours, but Ollie felt he had been running himself ragged trying to be a good Head Ranger, catching up on the going-ins and outs of the people who had been supposedly "kidnapped" by the DRK Triad or whatever mysterious force that had claimed them. The reports had come flooding in, which meant that it was even more paperwork to complete.

[break][break] Something that Ollie vehemently hated. He had even considered calling in Raziel Beckett for it, but that poor kid had enough on his plate, what with his recent reveal about being a former Rocket.

[break][break] Green eyes split towards annalise henderson as they headed up the hill, following the line of craggy rock that a nearby civilian had pointed them towards.

[break][break] 'Just up that hill,' the swimmer had said. 'It's a great viewing spot for fish! And um, bigger fish, I guess.'

[break][break] The bigger fish in question, of course, being Kyogre. What with NEON likely have taken favor with another Legendary, Rocket had their hands full. And if the recent preparations that League management had been shoving down their throats were of importance, it likely wouldn't be long before there was another "event" to take up their time.

[break][break] "Do you see anything?" he asked, peering over the hill. He could see the cusp of Sootopolis City, mostly hidden away by the crater that surrounded it. It had been so long since Rocket had claimed that city that Ollie wasn't sure if he even remembered a time when it hadn't been under League custody.

[break][break] Concern wormed his way into his chest as he looked at annalise henderson. It was the first time they were face to face since the events of the disappearance. She'd said she was okay, that she'd been staying with Greyson Connors, but...

[break][break] He still worried.

[break][break] "If we can't find anything, we should probably head back. We're a little close to Rocket territory now, I think."

in spite of ollie morales's no way, the legendary pokemon breaches the surface, malformed by its half-transformation. it slams its fins against choppy waves, sending seafoam into the air, but the struggle looks less aggressive and more pained. a small frown begins to settle on her mouth, remembering illeana reyes's theory that being stuck between its two forms is causing it to suffer.[break][break]beside her, ollie morales's warning pulls her attention back like a snapping of his fingers. [break][break]"you're right."[break][break]she reaches for his wrist and crouches down, trying to drag him down near the ground with her. she's familiar with this sequence of events from her mission with CALLISTA MOON: kyogre spots them, it destroys the cliff they're standing on, they're forced to fight back.
