It was a simple bust; bust open the front door an abandoned factory that Rustboro Law Enforcement identified Rocket activity within. They were overwhelmed with other operations, particularly the war effort, hence why the Ranger Captain was the one involved in apprehending Fenelle Miller . Even so, combat situations were well out of her comfort zone. Busting poaching operations, sure. But this would involve siccing her strongest Pokémon upon her, for the League instructed her to bring her best team.

As the door flew open, a PSYBLADE knocking it off its hinges, the Captain shouted at dem from atop her Iron Leaves. "Freeze! Captain Shalin Nariya. On behalf of Rustboro Law Enforcement, you are under arrest!"

Mille managed to gather everything into der bag just in time as the door is busted open. While unhearing, der Metagross does provide dem psychically with the general vibe while dee's analysing the visual information and comes up with a grimace, a snarl, a raised eyebrow for defiance.

The Rustboro Captain herself, and she really had to go all out on pokémon, too, huh? This would be quite difficult, but right now, there's a number advantage - unless there's more behind her. But that's a later problem.

Grimmsnarl leaps into action near-immediately upon the door being busted open, engaging into melee combat with the Iron Leaves, using Spirit Break also partially to test against the Paradox pokémon - would it even possess a spirit? - while trying to wrestle them out of the door frame to give Mille an out. Mille who was sent flying through the air by a violent and quickly-moved Pychic while dee also calls on der Hisuian Goodra, summoning it outside of the room to assist should the others not be able to bust out of the room in time.

Shalin Nariya

Despite being a machine, Midori did possess a spirit; Shalin felt the plated Virizion look-alike flinch from the internal damage its components suffered at the Grimmsnarl's hands. As powerful as the paradox Pokémon was, she wasn't going to be able to handle all of der Pokémon with just the Iron Leaves.

Finding herself surrounded by a Metagross, Grimmsnarl, and now a Goodra, she needed something that could handle them all, and did she ever have the trick. It might let the Rocket get away through the main entrance, but it was going to sting if they tried.

Withdrawing Midori and sending out Sandy, the Captain's attire changed in a flash of green light, now in her SYGNA SUIT. "Stand down, right now! You don't want this to get ugly. Believe me," she called out to Fenelle, unaware they could not hear her. She gently pat the Flygon's wing before mounting it like one would a Pokémon, all four of her limbs firmly holding onto it. Glowing a green that was at first faint but with increasing luminosity, she created a spherical BUG ZONE around herself.

Against all odds, Mille manages to escape without having to actually blast a hole through the wall. Now, they were outside which in fact feels better than having a possible building collapse onto you, despite also being, well, more open. But, dee has several of der pokémon on deck- and oh shit. It turns out there was another reason why they managed through the front door ...

Dee knows not to underestimate the change from a Paradox pokémon to a simple pokémon, and maybe especially if that change is a dragon type, though typing might also not matter too much. What does matter is the fact that dee recognises an activated sygna suit to see one, if the ranger captain becoming a blur isn't enough evidence.

Mille quickly takes a couple of steps back, and der pokémon start to shift in front while also backing off. Der Hisuian Goodra tries a Mud Shot while Metagross is throwing another Meteor Mash. Grimmsnarl doesn't have any ranged attacks per se at the moment, so he decides to tag along Mille as dee frantically keeps looking for the nearby stationed teleport pokémon - where the hell is it? Did they capture it ... the next farther out would be a pain to get to with someone pursuing dem.

Shalin Nariya

Shalin gave her warning, and Mille refused to back down. Dee would suffer the consequences of der defiance. Running away from the horrific noise that was to come would make it less intense, but there was no outrunning a grating, piercing sound wave, particularly not one greatly amplified by the resonance of a Sygna Suit and its synced Pokémon.

Squinting, Shalin put all her focus into holding onto her Flygon's wing, every hair on the Captain's body standing on end from being a passenger through the fiercest BUG BUZZ the dragon-type had to offer. Empowered by her suit's BUG ZONE, the vibrations were simply too fast and strong for even her well-trained eyes to follow. She let out a loud whoop as the adrenaline rush became intoxicating. It was only the sting of the MUD BOMB's added weight that drew the fluttering symphony to its end. If the Metagross could remain focused despite the deafening noise, the METEOR MASH would rock both dragon and rider.

Such a noise would have to cause immense pain in der ears, right?

Mille's next move is making a break for it - but that proves significantly hard. While dee has no idea what the audio feed to this would be, dee can sense the vibrations on der skin already before the full impact makes itself known.

Moving is hard. It's a blessing that Hisuian Goodra has managed to get off one good Mud Shot, slowing the rapid buzzing down. Metagross' interior functions are shaken, mayhaps even moreso as it's (probably) circuits and metal, possibly disarranged. Fenelle gestures for der Rotom to use Thunder Shock on the Metagross, a quick zap to get it back to somewhat normal- and as soon as it recovers a bit more, the last input would be executed.

Meteor Mash tears through the Bug Zone, but most importantly, also acts as a start to launch Metagross and Fenelle on it away from the Ranger Captain. Dee also signs for Hisuian Goodra, barely standing, to try another Mud Bomb as dee frantically is on the search for the nearest Teleport- there.

They just need to make it there. Grimmsnarl is recalled into his ball, and exchanged for a less impressive, but still fierce pokémon - Orthworm.

Shalin Nariya

The METEOR MASH catapulted Shalin off her buzzing Flygon, both of them hurtling skyward. Shalin flew much higher than Sandy did by chance of the vibrations flinging her that way. She couldn't feel a thing until she reached the peak of the launch, Sandy already flying beneath her, ready to catch her. With great skill from both, Shalin landed in the dragon-type's saddle, riding like a normal person would instead of exposing herself to furious vibrations only her Sygna Suit would let her survive.

"After them!" Shalin pointed toward Fenelle, but it may have been too late. Though she was out of range of a second MUD BOMB, thanks to her LEVITATION capabilities, there was far too much distance between them. Roaring her wings in a deafening BOOMBURST, she and Shalin desperately chased after Fenelle, the sound waves shattering glass windows within a large radius. The Captain would attempt to rein her Sygna Pokémon around the Orthworm, giving the fleeing Rocket more time to escape.

The Orthworm immediately senses the danger and, just trusting Mille has a clear dive direction, calls for a Sandstorm to obstruct their enemy's vision - but as ever, he's really adamant on staying alive and not fainting, so he immediately retreats into his ball again after Shed Tail to create a false lead.

Gladly, Shalin focuses on the Orthworm, too, allowing Mille to reach the ready-to-teleport Abra after quickly recalling all of der pokémon in a beam of red light. With another, honestly a bit unceremonious blink, dee makes it out alive and uncaptured from this encounter, but arriving in the new meeting place, dee frowns.

Seems like not everyone's been quite as lucky ... maybe they'll need to plan a prison break next if they could spare the resources at this moment. Maybe the region will fall into chaos soon enough either way ...

Shalin Nariya

As powerful as the Sygna-enhanced BOOMBURST was, producing it at that strength required Shalin to be on the dragon-type's wing. Vibrations that fast deprived Shalin of several of her vital senses, including meaningful sight. It was sight she relied on to track Fenelle down. By the time she could get within striking distance of dem, dee was already gone in a flash of light from der Psychic-type Pokémon.

Shaking her head and sliding down from the wing after regaining her composure, Shalin radioed Ranger dispatch with an update. "Dispatch, Captain Nariya. I've disabled the operation, but the suspect got away by psychic Pokémon. Aborting pursuit and returning to HQ to debrief, over." Letting her Pokémon rest, Shalin sent out Savanna, her Zeraora, and rode the electric-type back to her destination at a leisurely pace... which was still quite fast by Pokémon standards. Zeraora were just that speedy!
