Nomi knew this to be true: there were others the Triad were looking for. Yuina Higashi, for one. mint frost. Nomi herself. Anyone with any chance of catching the attention of a legendary Pokemon was also at risk of being noticed by them. It made her wonder: was there a Pokemon looking out for this man? For the Ranger captain? The Triad had a way of predicting such things. Nomi desperately wished to know how they did it, but she suspected it had something to do with educated guesses based on other realities. It's what had happened with Isaac Merlo, after all.[break][break]
"The best way to draw them out is with the threat of Avatarship," she explained. "But I would be willing to hear your ideas, Eddie."[break][break]
They were out of time, and could no longer afford to take their time. She would welcome any and all suggestions.[break][break]
"The RKS is a reliably unreliable method of encountering them. At this point, however, I think it is in our best interests to take the fight to them directly." She paused. "What I mean is: we ought not wait for them to appear, but rather, go to where-ever it is that they are."

Avatarship, huh? That wasn't the sort of thing you could just make happen, but it seemed like a far more direct way of luring the DRK Triad out than the aimless tactics Eddie had taken up so far. He scrubbed at his chin again and sighed, [break][break]

“Nah, nah, yer prob'ly right. Doin' laps through the RKS ain't turned up jack shit yet, but – ” [break][break]

Eddie wanted to square up with those DRK Triad bastards more than just about anything else at the moment, but it wasn't like he could just look up their names and addresses in the Yellow Pages, [break][break]

“How, exactly, are we supposed ta find wherever it is they're lurkin'? There's the whole 'avatar' angle, but hell, how do we even follow up on that? Find some sorta avatarship candidate an' stake 'em out? Or else, find someone else that some legendary Pokemon's got their eye on.” [break][break]

Maybe he was getting lost in the weeds here, though, and maybe Shalin would have more ideas or better insight into the matter. Otherwise, maybe the Visionary would have her own ideas of how to confront them directly, because by now, Eddie felt like he was starting to just spin his wheels. It would probably be better to leave the logistics to them, anyway, because at this rate, Eddie mostly just envisioned himself outside of some poor stranger's house, brandishing an oversized Butterfree net to snatch up the first monochromatically-clad ne're-do-well that came his way.

To Shalin's knowledge, there was no legendary Pokémon that had taken interest in her. That reminded her: now that Keldeo had recovered, she should take a trip to the Pokémon league to see the little guy. "That... has me scared..." Shalin trailed off. "Josh Devlin and I had talked about it a couple times after his ascension to Champion Rank. Back before kyle lopez passed Raikou on to him, he would talk about his dream of being Raikou's Avatar. Now all of a sudden, he doesn't want to be one anymore. It's like being an Avatar is a horrible curse or something."

Shalin was at a dead end. She didn't have connections to any known Avatars, and she wasn't one herself. She did, however, have one idea. "What if we got some others with legendary Pokémon involved, but weren't Avatars?" It was a long shot, but it was the best she had...
